Question

User membership in teams or groups

Hi all,

new org admin here, so bear with me.

I have trouble organizing the users in my instance to specific teams and user groups. I do plan to use groups for SSO config, so will add groups to team access.

What i am really missing, is there a way to see specific user membership in team and/or group without exporting csv? Like when you click on one user details, you should be able to see which Teams user has access to, additionally, imagine having the info, on the type of access for each Team.

Hey there @GoranD 🤩 Welcome to our community. Thanks for the great questions.

I have a few questions to help us get moving forward. When you say you’d like to see which teams a user has access to, do you mean:

  • Should that include only teams they were directly added to?

  • Or also access inherited through user groups and organization/workspace-wide permissions?

  • Would you also want the source and permission level shown for each team?

Thank you! — Jaycee

Hi Jaycee,

ideal would be to have all of that info included, direct access and group access, but i would be happy with any additional info.
Source is overkill, if you mean info about access provided by group or user assignment, but why not.

Main issue is, when i click on an user, i have no idea what content that person has access to. user name, seat type and last active are all useful, but for better administration of the Organisation tier. Currently you have to create export for any insight into user access, and there it shows only directly assigned access, not one assigned by groups.
