I’ve been unable to publish an update to my Figma plugin because I keep seeing this message: “We have detected a change in your account details. Please contact support@figma.com to proceed.”I emailed support@figma.com as instructed, but haven’t received any reply—not even a confirmation that my message was received. I have no idea what triggered the restriction, whether anyone is looking into it, or when I’ll be able to publish again. Is anyone else experiencing this? Could someone from Figma please look into it and help unblock publishing?

I'm experiencing a major interaction issue in the Figma Desktop app on macOS.My account has full edit access, but all editable controls in the right properties panel are unresponsive. This includes:Input fields cannot be clicked Fields do not receive focus Values cannot be entered or changed Dropdowns and other editable property controls are also unresponsive The issue is not limited to Auto layout, Gap, Padding, or Corner radius — the entire right-side properties panel cannot be edited The canvas and other parts of the interface appear to work normallyI tested the same account and the same Figma file in the web version, and the right properties panel works normally there. So far, the issue only occurs in the Figma Desktop app on macOS.I've attached a screenshot showing a few affected areas, but the issue applies to the entire right-side properties panel.Could you please help investigate whether this is a known Desktop app issue and advise on a fix?Environment:Platform: macOS Figma: Desk

Hey everyone, I am currently working on a responsive dark-themed dashboard mockup for deltaexector and ran into an annoying problem with nested auto-layout frames. When I switch the main frame between desktop and mobile viewport variants, the internal cards refuse to hug contents properly and start clipping off-screen instead of adapting to the new width.Along with that layout glitch, the smart animate transitions between the modal states and navigation buttons feel super laggy and drop frames during the mobile presentation view. I tried detaching some components and resetting the fill and hug constraints, but the layout keeps breaking whenever secondary nested elements update.

I did a research via figma rally uxr on the 9th of September 2026 and was told I'll be paid $75 giftcard, it's the 14th of September 2026 and I'm yet to receive any mail regarding the giftcard.

You can duplicate a file, and create a branch of the current file but when your in a branch you can only duplicate to a new file not a new branch. I always have this need I create a branch and don’t want extra files I just want to create extra branches off of the branch not the original file which has been significantly modified at this point.

Fractional units and hugs are definitely a welcome addition to Grids, but what’s still missing is the ability to assign both the number of columns/rows and colspan/rowspan to variables. We’ve defined our website breakpoints as modes so we can build components that automatically adapt to the viewport (for example, a 50/50 layout that stacks on mobile). Right now, the only way to achieve this is by storing fixed column-width values for each breakpoint and use them in combination with horizontal auto-layout. It works, but it defeats the whole purpose of Figma’s grid system.Assigning variables directly to the grid would allow every component using that grid to automatically adapt based on its current mode (breakpoint). This would make creating mockups across different breakpoints significantly faster and more efficient.

A few weeks ago Make was amazing. Now I can’t find how to revert anything. What is going on that Figma would take a giant leap back? And I just used a bunch of AI credits trying to figure it out.

Currently the activity log requires a full email address to do search. It would be useful to search by first or last name or a part of the email address in some cases.

I am the Figma admin for my org and it would be really useful for us to have a single screen with a list of workspace and billing admins for all groups that we can use to manage. Currently, we need to go to each billing group or each workspace and then see the list. This creates a problem as one person can be present as an admin of multiple groups and the only way to know will be through excel export. Instead what I suggest is to have one screen with the admin list for all workspaces and billing groups that we can use to manage admins.

I am the Figma admin for my org and we have workspace and billing groups with a long list of admins. I’d like to see a way to scroll through that list easily. Currently it feels clunky.

Whose idea was it to put the little icon for the new AI agent so close to the upper right corner of an object? I can’t tell you how many times I’ve gone to adjust the size of an object and accidentally opened the agent. Each instance doesn’t take that much time, but when you do it countless times a day, it makes work that normally feels fluid feel disjointed. If I want to open the agent, the option in the left nav panel is super easy to access. I don’t need the agent connected to every object I touch. I’d like to see the user research (or lack thereof) that made team Figma think this was a good idea. You’re assuming the agent is so helpful and so needed that people need it right there. That’s confirmation bias at it’s finest. Please take this away or at least move it!

I have a great design system doing that switches between light and dark great. What’s the best way to handle drop shadows?

One member of my team created and shared a skill, which is listed when I enter “Manage skills/Your team”. However, to use that skill, I currently need to export it and then add it locally by selecting the downloaded .MD file. This is not an ideal workflow, as future skill changes would need to be manually updated. Is this a known issue and are there any actions that I could take to make team skills available to all team files from a single source?

I’m requesting that my Figma account gets deleted and or the payment method on file for (redacted by the moderator due to PII) is removed. I’ve lost access to that email and am unfortunately still getting charged for Figma that I’m not using.

Switching to the Enterprise license and would like the ability to assign a user to multiple workspaces. I see there is an option for folks to be invited to teams in different workspaces, but it would be more efficient if we can easily add and see how many workspaces folks are assigned to. In our organization we do a lot of cross collaboration, across the workspaces.

Hi Figma team,I'd love to see sorting preferences persist across sessions in the Projects view. Currently, every time I navigate into a project and return to the home screen, the sort order resets to default. Our team numbers all projects (01, 02, 03…) to maintain a clear workflow overview. Having to manually re-apply alphabetical sorting every single time is a small but repetitive friction point that interrupts the flow.It would be great if Figma could remember the last used sort order, ideally per user or workspace. This seems like a relatively simple improvement that would benefit many teams who rely on consistent project naming conventions. If this is already possible and I'm missing it, I'd love to know how. Thanks for considering this.Best,Justin Eleveld

Hi Figma Team,we are currently reviewing our Design System and evaluating whether we should move towards a more variable-based approach for building our components in Figma. Our Design System uses design tokens, and we would like to control properties such as Tone, Emphasis, or Theme through Variables, Modes, and alias structures. During this evaluation, we came across a question regarding developer handoff and the visibility of the actual design tokens being used.General problemWith a variable-based component setup, a visual property in Figma can be resolved through several Variables, Modes, and alias steps. As a result, a property such as a background color is not necessarily linked directly to one fixed design token. Instead, the final value depends on the context and the active Modes. In Dev Mode, Figma can show the bound variable as well as the final resolved color value. However, it is not always immediately clear to developers which specific design token within the alias chain is b

After every action Figma takes time to sync. The syncing is not instant.

hi all,I am having an issue with Figma and was wondering if there is a way to change the default view when opening a file.I have a process flow created on the canvas, but when I open the file, it lands on a large empty area of the infinite canvas rather than on the actual content. As a result, I have to manually scroll and zoom to find my diagram every time. I know where to scroll, but my business user wont know  Hence, I understand that the canvas itself is infinite, but I would like to know:Can I set a default starting position or view for the file? Can I make Figma automatically open centered on my content/sectionAny suggestions would be appreciated.

I have turned on two-factor authentication, but recently the account found an information update, resulting in a prompt when updating the plug-in“We detected a change to your account details. Please contact support@figma.com to proceed”

Title:File cannot be opened — “out of browser memory” even after Recovery Mode and version restorePost text:Hello,I’m having a serious issue with an important Figma file that I can no longer open.Every time I try to open the file, Figma shows:“This file has run out of browser memory.”I am using the Figma Desktop app on macOS.I have already tried:Recovery Mode thumbnails-only=1 restoring multiple older versions restoring both “Before syncing changes” and “After syncing changes” Offline Sync checkpoints restoring versions from September 28Unfortunately, the file still immediately shows the same memory error. When I open the file with thumbnails-only=1, the canvas appears completely empty, so I am unable to safely select or delete heavy content. The version history contains many Offline Sync checkpoints. I am concerned about recovering the latest usable version without losing synced or previously offline changes.File key:[File key redacted by forum moderator to remove PII]File URL:[File URL

I’ve had an open issue with Figma Support for nearly a month - this issue is preventing the use of Figma Make. Is there an escalation process for when Figma’s Enterprise Product Support team are taking to long to respond?

Hi,I’ve been trying to add animations to our content templates. I created the animations using the Figma Design animation tool, exported them as MP4 files, and then added them to Figma Buzz templates.I need to export them as GIF files, this worked well, and last Friday (25 Sep.) I tested that I could export the templates as GIFs from Figma Buzz. However, this Monday (29 Sep.), I’m no longer able to export them as GIFs.I need the GIF format to combine GIFs and images in a carousel on LinkedIn.Has this feature been removed over the weekend? If so, do you know when it will be available again? Regards Cecilie

Hi Figma team,I'm trying to connect Figma's remote MCP server from Grok Bot (Cursor MCP connector) and OAuth fails before the authorize UI reliably opens.Endpoint: https://mcp.figma.com/mcpClient: Grok Bot / Cursor MCP connector (Windows)Account: [email redacted by forum moderator to remove PII]Team: “최진철의 팀” (Professional plan, Full seat)Existing support ticket: #2145748What happens1. I add the remote MCP URL as documented for “other agents”:   { "mcpServers": { "Figma": { "url": "https://mcp.figma.com/mcp" } } }2. The connector registers, but stays in needsAuth / authentication_required with 0 tools.3. Connect / auth attempt returns HTTP 403 Forbidden.4. Response body is plain text "Forbidden" (not JSON).5. The Figma OAuth consent UI often never appears. What I already ruled out- Seat / plan alone: Full seat on a Professional team.- File Share permission: this fails at OAuth / connector edge before any file tool call.- Desktop local MCP (http://127.0.0.1:3845/mcp): not applicable here
