Question

Team's skills not visible in team's files

One member of my team created and shared a skill, which is listed when I enter “Manage skills/Your team”. However, to use that skill, I currently need to export it and then add it locally by selecting the downloaded .MD file. This is not an ideal workflow, as future skill changes would need to be manually updated.

Is this a known issue and are there any actions that I could take to make team skills available to all team files from a single source?

Hey Alexandre - some follow up questions on my end, just so I make sure I have a bigger picture:

  1. When you open Manage skills → Your team, do you see an Add or Use button next to the skill at all — or only Export? Are they there, but unusable?
  2. Can you send a screenshot of what that skill's row/menu looks like on your end?
  3. Are you in Figma Design or Figma Make when you're checking this?
  4. Do you have edit access to the file where you're trying to use the skill? (Using the agent requires edit access.) I think yes, but double checking
  5. Has your teammate made any changes since they first published it, or is this the original version?

Hey @ksn  thanks for the quick response. To your questions:

  1. In this window I see only the skill and the “...” button at the top right with “Export” option only.
  2. Attached
  3. Figma Design
  4. Yes,  I have edit access
  5. It is the original version.

Thanks! I poked engineering on this one, and have a follow up question -- do you know which member of flow app is not able to invite the skill via the /command?

Alexandre_Borba

I am the one not able to invite the skill via the /command.

I also need to remove the requested screenshot from this thread, as it contains information that should not be public. Unfortunately, there is no link for users to remove their post.

Got it - thanks again. I just drew up a support ticket for you, and directed it to the email address registered to your forum account. You should have received that initial message by now (#2032357). I want our Technical Quality team to review for potential bugs, and I’m unfortunately limited in tooling to investigate further.

Appreciate your patience here!

@ksn  I’m having the same issue. With all of the same answers as Alexandre.

matthieu_digeon

Same here. My team can’t access any skills either
the menu is missing, and nothing happens when we use the / command.

Hey @matthieu_digeon, thanks for adding this! Sounds like you're hitting the same pattern described above.

For context on how this is supposed to work: once someone on your team publishes a skill, it should show up automatically for the rest of the team in Manage skills, and you should be able to run it straight from the slash command. No exporting or re-adding needed. So the menu missing entirely, and nothing happening on the slash command, isn't the experience we'd expect.

I'd like to take a closer look at your account specifically rather than troubleshoot further out in the open here. I've opened ticket #2057554 on your behalf, keep an eye out for that and we'll dig in from there.

For more info on how creating, publishing, and invoking skills is meant to work in the meantime, this covers it: Custom skills for the Figma agent and Figma Make.

Someone from our customer support team should be in touch with you soon, appreciate your patience in the meantime!
