Question

What happened to versions in the chat of Figma Make?

A few weeks ago Make was amazing. Now I can’t find how to revert anything. What is going on that Figma would take a giant leap back? And I just used a bunch of AI credits trying to figure it out.

I’ve noticed the same change. Having version history and an easy way to revert changes was really useful, especially when working with AI-generated updates. It would be helpful if Figma could clarify whether version history was moved, changed, or removed in the latest Make updates. Using AI credits just to figure out where a basic feature went is definitely frustrating.

Hi @Tony Moore, thanks for flagging this, and @JesseHilton. appreciate you weighing in.

I took a look, and restoring should still be available from the version cards in the chat. Hover over a version card and click the ••• More options menu to preview, favorite, name, or restore that version. Here's what it looks like:

More options menu.

Version history cards now display a summary of the changes applied versus the number associated with the version — is the number display what you were referring to? Either way, please let me know if this helps you move forward, or if you are expecting to see something different.

More details and updates here: Edit a Figma Make file → Interact with the file's version history.

If you're still stuck, please reply here with the steps that led to where things got blocked and a screenshot of what you're seeing. You can also share the affected file securely with our Customer Support team through the Support Hub: Click Start a chat → type "Report a bug" → share the file with support-share@figma.com with view access. That lets the team reproduce and look into the specific issue.
