Hi Figma team,We're setting up Code Connect for our design system and the MCP preview in the Code Connect UI always shows "Can't generate MCP preview right now. Please try again later." It happens on every connected component. Our setup:- Code is hosted on a self-hosted GitLab instance (gitlab.atida.com), private repository.- Components are connected at the component set level from the Code Connect UI, using the GitLab file URL (e.g. https://gitlab.atida.com/<group>/<project>/-/blob/main/src/components/Button/Button.tsx) and the exported component name (Button).- We also published parserless Code Connect templates for the same components.- The components show as "Connected", and the design context returned through the Figma MCP server includes the connected component correctly.- We tried removing the local file-path connection and keeping only the GitLab one: same result.Questions:1. Does the Code Connect MCP preview support self-hosted GitLab repositories, or only repositor

I'm having problem to subscribe to figma plan. It keeps showing error message "Your plan was previously in CAD and must continue being paid in CAD. Make sure you provide CAD payment method". I tried multiple CAD credit cards and keep getting the same error. Figma customer support seems to be useless or doesn’t exist. Already created ticket and waiting for a week without any feedback.

Hi, I attempted to verify my Figma Education status, but the automated system rejected my documents multiple times. Now I am blocked by the "Verification Limit Exceeded" error.I have already submitted support tickets to SheerID and sent but haven't received a response yet even though I waited more than a week. Could you please help reset my verification attempts or escalate my ticket internally?

I logged a job last Wednesday #2161287 and I have still not heard back. I have now been billed for a seat that I don’t use and cannot remove.

Hi everyone,I’m an instructor using Figma/FigJam during my classes and I’m running into an ongoing permissions issue that’s becoming difficult to manage during live lectures.I have a folder containing the FigJam boards we use in class. My students need to be able to open these boards, edit them, and add sticky notes while I’m teaching.I’ve already added all of their emails through “Share this folder” with edit access. However, I’m seeing a few problems:Some students are still asked to request access even though their email is already listed on the folder. I’ll approve their request or try adding their email again, only to find that they were already added previously. Even when I make a board public for 24 hours and approve a student on the spot, some students still can’t access or edit it. This has happened repeatedly rather than being a one-time permissions issue. There’s also a related Education account problem affecting some students. A few are having difficulty getting their Figma E

Last weekend I was able to prompt the AI agent in canvas to create a prototype, with basic interactions, right on my file. Today, the chatbot says it can’t add interactions, and I have to do it myself, or use Figma Make. Is this a bug or a feature? Figma Make creates prototypes but when copying it to your Design file, it only copies the UI and not the interactions created. Could you let me know if this is a feature so that I can move on to Claude Design for prototypes? Thanks!

We experienced a serious issue where a browser tab was left open while an older version was selected in the Version History sidebar. After the 30-minute autosave interval, Figma created a new saved version based on that older state, effectively overwriting several days of more recent work in the current timeline.Fortunately, the version immediately before the autosave still contained the correct work, so we were able to recover it. However, this was understandably alarming for the designers, and it is easy for someone to trigger accidentally just by reviewing previous versions and leaving the tab open in the background.I’d suggest disabling autosave whenever a user is viewing an older version in Version History. Autosave should only resume once the user explicitly returns to the current version. At minimum, Figma should provide a prominent warning that the user is viewing an old version and that leaving the file open may create a new save from that state. This would make version-history

I have been encountering this issue for I do not know how long now, likely a year or more.Whenever I have a master component with different properties, for example a tab set with multiple tabs inside it (in this instance those are also individual components), which can be set to “idle” or “active”, which includes a color change. When I update something about the master component, such as removing the presence of an icon from each tab, the “idle” (default) states of the component instances will update and the icon is removed, but the “active” (non-default) instances will not update. The icon is still there.I encounter this most often with text, such as a message or alert component, where I change the text on the master, but for any non-default states of the instances, the text will not update. I have to reset, which returns every property to default, and then adjust all my properties again. Or manually update the text, which means it is now “custom” and will never automatically apply cha

This seems to only occur for bigger sizes like 3000x2000.I tried using the 'Import big images' plugin but that just makes the images look like a broken TV screen. I allowed extract canvas data for Figma, so I believe the availability of canvas data shouldn't be an issue. It’s not low quality because its a preview, because when export it, it’s still low quality.I’ve tried increasing the export size multiplier. It didn’t solve the issue.Scaling the image doesn't solve it either.

Hello Figma Team,I just subscribe to collab for 1 year subscription but when exploring the Figma i accidentally clicked Dev in which i dont have plan to subscribe to dev mode. And now i am gonna be charge $113 as per billing. Can anyone help me cancel that?Thanks-Ricky

Issue Summary: My monthly quota of 20,000 Figma Make credits reset on October 2, 2026. While running routine, standard prompts with over 19,000+ credits remaining, my entire balance abruptly plummeted to zero.A total loss of 20,000 credits in under 24 hours is mathematically impossible under normal operations and far exceeds my typical monthly usage. This is an unmistakable system glitch that has completely blocked my workflow.Required Action: I require an immediate audit of my usage logs and prompt history to identify the system error, along with a full restoration of my depleted credit balance, or just fully refund my payment. Your support is painfully slow and unhelpful.

In all the exisiting file:Created toggle variables in a component, but can’t assign it to any layers within the component. Variable option in appearance simply gone

My attachments are not being seen by the program so i can't add attachments even when a thumbnail of my attachment shows

Hello Figma Support,I am reporting a possible prototype bug affecting an interactive component nested inside another component.By “language selector,” I mean a control on the right side of a website header. It shows the current language as a flag and a short code, such as EN. Hovering reveals an arrow, and clicking opens a vertical dropdown below the control, containing flags and other language codes, such as DE, FR, and IT.How it is built:The selector is an instance of its own component set. Its closed, hover, and expanded dropdown states are separate variants. The dropdown is part of the expanded variant. The relevant interaction sequence is:- Closed state, 131 × 52: Mouse enter → Change to the wider hover state.- Hover state, 170 × 52: On click → Change to the expanded dropdown state.- Expanded state, 240 × 274: Mouse leave → Change to the closed state. These transitions use Smart Animate with Ease Out, approximately 150–200 ms.The selector sits inside layout frames within the Header:

I feel like I’ve never seen this before today… in short, when using “fill” to define width or height of a frame, I am expecting the width or height to be evenly distributed, but it seems to be changing the width /height based on the padding within the frame.Example: here is an autolayout frame holding 2 freeform frames, both of which are set to width=fill. When I apply autolayout to the red frame, I would expect it to maintain its existing width (95px, defined by it being set to “fill” its parent along with the other frame) and apply whatever it decides the horizontal and vertical padding should be. At least, that’s what I think it’s done for the last 8/9 years…But it doesn’t. It adds the width of the padding to the red frame, meaning the red and blue frames are now unequal widths (in this instance, figma decided the red frame should have 16px padding all round):What this means is, I cannot have equal width frames within an autolayout frame if:Any of them have inconsistent padding Any

Hello everybody, I have almost 8000 hidden components (they are without . or _ prefixes) in a library of almost 10000 components. Does someone know how to unhide them so that they appear in the shared library? For now I am right-clicking each hidden component and selecting ‘Show when publishing’, which takes 2-3 secs… So I hope to accomplish this task roughly in 5 hours, if I don’t take breaks…

Hi Figma support team,I subscribed to the Figma Professional plan today and was charged $21.78. After testing the features, I found that the plan does not meet my expectations and needs for my workflow.Since I will not be using the paid features, I would like to kindly request a refund for the $21.78 charge. I noticed that similar refund requests for professional plans have been resolved positively in this community, and I hope my case can be reviewed as well.My account email: [redacted by forum moderator to remove PII]My name: Keno DairiusThank you for your understanding.Best regards,

I am trying to get a “make” prototype into a slide deck which is currently not possible. This link shows how you do it https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/articles/37617790464535-Embed-a-Make-prototype-in-a-slide-deck-board-or-design-fileBut as you can see I do not have the needed drop down to click “Copy link as Make file.”

I am on a Figma Edu plan for myself, and enabled the related settings in an article Manage MCP connectors for the Figma agent and Figma MakeHowever, I still cannot create any custom connectors (MCPs) in Figma Make since its button is gray. I have waited for a while already.

Currently there is no way to make a tokenized mesh gradient with transparency.👇 Sample code from a Claude mesh gradient maker, bound to Figma color variables. .mesh { background: radial-gradient(181.01% 100% at 0% 100%, var(--ramps-amethyst-08, #653FC6) 0%, rgba(101, 63, 198, 0.00) 100%), radial-gradient(99% 99% at 100% 0%, var(--ramps-info-06, #88AEE4) 0%, rgba(136, 174, 228, 0.00) 100%), var(--ramps-amethyst-02, #F0EBFF);}This is impossible in Figma due to the lake of transparency.Once you use a tokenized color in a gradient, you completely lose the ability to make it transparent, without breaking it. Once you break it, light/dark modes no longer work.Seems like it would be relatively simple to make a transparency dropdown next to the tokenized color.

When i prompt in Figma AI Agent , it’s already make for me a design , but the thing it im accidently press restore previous version in AI Agents chat , and i can’t restore it even the Figma file version doesn’t have that too , i don’t know how to restore or get back of the design of AI Agent make for me.

Hi Team,I received my in person invite on 9th September 2026.However, I have not received my physical or Digital Badge yet to attend Config India event on 15th Oct.Kindly help.

Hi!Hi!I just updated Figma (126.8.18) and now I have huge problems with simply copying and pasting objects, images, icons or text. When I copy and paste an object (on the left) in to a folder (see dark box on the right) it completely breaks the properties and decimal values. It stretches images and the auto width text feature breaks too and is set to Fixed size with a random / broken decimal value. It happens across all Figma projects. I’ve reset Figma and restarted the application and Mac.Help / Troubleshooting / Reset Figma and RestartCan anyone help?Thanx / F

Hey, with the latest update I noticed this: All three container in a row have the width set to fill. But now they scale differently if they have padding applied or not. Before theses blank frames to imitate a free slot did not need to have padding (autolayout) set. Check screenshots: blank child container width padding as others blank child container without padding
