In Figma Sites, the icons I used from Font Awesome Pro 6, display properly while designing, but appear as their text counterpart when doing a preview.
Hi Figma Copmmunity, is there a way to protype so that when you have a component list created and one of those items is selected another component list shows up with the ability to select a second option in a separate component list?
First and foremost, I’m really enjoying using and experimenting with what I can do with Variables. I have barely scratched the surface but feel like these are obvious improvements that should be included in the backlog somewhere: Ability to duplicate Variables Ability to duplicate a Collection Ability to move Variables to another Collection Ability to move a Group to another Collection Ability to move multiple Variables (between Groups and Collections) Add a description for Collections and Groups (I don’t want to repeat the same thing with slight variations for each Variable) Ability to search for a Variable or Group within the Variables window Ability to move the Mode columns within the Variables window [EDIT] When creating Color Variables, I wished that it remembered the last panel I used to create the previous Variable. This would be useful when I’m creating multiple semantic variables via aliasing [EDIT] Ability to scope multiple Variables that are of the same type Thank you so muc
I'm thinking about building my portfolio using Figma Sites, but before I start, I wanted to ask: does Figma allow you to password-protect specific pages or projects? I’d like to make some sections private or only accessible to certain people.
I was super pumped to start using grids for my layouts until I learned of one fatal flaw that killed my excitement :( The inability to set a row height to hug is simply a deal-breaker for me. Also no variables support for gaps? really?
Hi all, I am wondering if it is possible to enable a “push/pull elements below”-function. In my current case I have an accordeon component that changes size based on what instance is selectet / interacted with. Below this component sloser to the bottom of my screen are texts and other elements that are currently “overwritten” by certain expanded instances of my accordeon. In my previous job I worked with Axure and there one can simply select “push/pull widgets below” when adding interactions to a component and all elements on the screen below will be pushed/pulled by the exact difference in height of changed component. Is it possible to add this option in Figma? (I know I could just add all other elements to my component but this would blow up said component way to much and seems unnecessarily complex)
Hi, I'm trying out Figma sites. Looks very promising. It's nice to finally bring a design to life myself. It won't be long before it feels like you're saving a PDF from Indesign. What I'm running into quite quickly is setting a background pattern on top of a solid color. I use a SVG as a component for this, but at that moment the preview goes black. In edit mode it looks fine. Any suggestions? Best regards, Aran
Hello, I am a user of Figma based in South Korea. Over the past week, several designers on our design team have been experiencing an intermittent issue where the line height of text decreases. However, this issue has not yet been resolved, and I am curious if other users are facing the same problem. We are using the font 'Noto Sans KR' for our text styles. When we double-click on a text box that is using this font to enter edit mode, we notice that the line height suddenly decreases. After uninstalling and reinstalling the font on our computers, or overwriting the font file and then accessing Figma again, the text with reduced line height returns to its original line height when clicked. However, this solution is temporary, as the same issue can occur again the next day. This phenomenon appears intermittently among designers, and some designers have not yet experienced this issue. I have attached example video below. This problem is causing significant inconvenience in our work, and we
Hello, I have an issue that’s bugged me for years here. Illustrations I make in Adobe Illustrator seem to scatter a bit (position) when imported into Figma. This doesn’t always happen for larger illustrations (sometimes the paths still go astray), but the smaller svgs seem to have real issues interpreting these paths and tangents most times. For example, here’s illustrations made on a 40x40 px artboard. Illustrator file Illustrator file zoomed in However, when I import this to Figma, everything scatters to some extent. Figma screenshot of same svg Is it impossible to import small svgs exactly? Is there something I’m doing wrong? Can anyone help me out… Cheers...
I am getting a message that says “Library assets may need to be republished for modename mode to show.” There is also a little icon next to the mode name in all of my files when selecting a palette mode. We use a single design system file that has all of our variables and the other palettes don’t seem to have the same problem. The error message is not very helpful and I have cleaned up all of the files and resolved everything I can find but this message never goes away. Can anyone help me understand what is going on? I have included a couple of images as an example of what I am seeing.
While working in Figma Slides, I had rectangle with Background Blur effect, and I applied object animation on it, and everything was fine inside editor. But inside presentation view, animation hasn’t been playing, up until I turned Background Blur off.
I’m working on a pixel font with a upm of 8100, so if I put the type size at 81 it should align perfectly with Figma’s pixel grid. This worked for all my other fonts, but starting from 6500 upm there is a small misalignment on the pixel grid that increases with each letter. So the first letter aligns correctly, the second has a small difference and the third even more. A pixel font with upm 6400 and set at size 64px aligns correctly on the grid, but a font with upm 6500 set at 65px doesn’t. The font’s pixels align correctly on other applications, so is this a bug in Figma? Close-up of the space between two A’s. The first A is aligned correctly, but the second A is not completely on the grid, it is slightly moved to the left.
A similar question has been posted by another user about 3 years ago, but they didn’t have a solution on their post. I am trying to get the “like” button to return to its default state when the “dislike” button is clicked and vice versa. When hovered over, they reveal a tool tip and turn gray. Each time one of these buttons is clicked, it shows a different notification overlay (liked notif, disliked notif, and undo notif (undo happens on 2nd click)). Below is the current logic I am trying for the “like” button (I’ve tried a few variations, I’ve asked AI, and I’ve tried different variables. I’ve also tried having both buttons in the same component set). If you have any ideas at all, please advise. I will try those too. 😅 Thank you in advance!
For years, my personal Figma account was billed at $15/month for a single design seat. I just discovered that, over the past 3 months, Figma has been charging me for 9 additional design seats tied to ex-coworkers from a company I left nearly a year ago. My bill jumped from $15 to $200/month—without my authorization or approval. I have no idea how these ex-coworkers were added to my personal account; I never invited them, and we only collaborated through the company’s Figma account, which I lost access to immediately after leaving. Now I’m seriously concerned they may have had access to all my client files, raising major privacy and security issues. This feels incredibly shady and unprofessional, especially since I received no notice of such a major change to my subscription. I’ve contacted Figma support to request a refund and billing correction, as they’ve now locked me out of my own design files for not paying this month’s $200 charge—which I’m refusing to pay. The situation is compl
