First of all, STOP hiding important values like dimensions from me in place of an auto layout value. This is the biggest annoyance I have with the new design. It’s like you tried to simply things, but now the whole UI feels more cluttered and busier than ever. The fact, I have to stop concentrating on what Im working on and move my mouse all the way to the side panel, and then PRECISELY hover a tiny rectangle to get a fundamental dimension, is so unpolished as an interaction. Don’t hide dimension values!!!
I would like to be able to drag and drop the export preview and move the dragged asset directly to my Downloads folder in the dock (macOS) or my knowledge base tool. It’s easier than open the dialog, choosing the destination, reusing the image from that destination.
Everytime I leave Figma window to go to another window, I get this “New available font: Raleway” notifications. Why is this happening? How do i turn it off?
Hi everyone, I use Figma on the web, my macOS version is Sequoia 15.4.1. I have installed the Figma Agent and it said I can use local fonts on the web, but this is not working. I tried everything from clearing cache, restarting computer, refreshing page but Figma still doesn’t show the fonts under “Installed by You”. I also have the latest google chrome version. I can’t see the fonts in an existing Figma project and also not if I create a new file. Other programs on my mac like Adobe Illustrator show all fonts without an issue. Any solutions? Thank You!
This has been an ongoing issue for me for at least a year. I use the Tidy Up hotkey daily but it doesn’t work anymore suddenly. Stuff I tried but still doesn’t work: Testing on browser and desktop Figma Programming the hotkey into my logitech mouse shortcut, in case there was something wrong with my keyboard Checked my laptop’s system preferences to ensure it’s not my keyboard’s issue Tested on an external keyboard
After spending two hours setting up detailed annotations, I learned that people with Viewer licenses do not see them. Annotations are for explaining non-obvious behavior to devs and others including occasional users. While devs are the primary audience, in large enterprise settings (which segment I assume is Figma’s primary source of revenue) usually there’s a large number of stakeholders who are occasionally involved in conversations. It is infeasible to get a dev or editor seat to each person loosely involved in the project just because it’s needed for a convenience feature once a quarter. We’re back to adding annotations manually, as overlaid components.
I would love the ability to expand the “Review Updates” modal into a full-screen view so that I can more effectively check library updates in detail to understand all of the changes that will apply and more easily compare current-vs-updated for each component instance
Hello, I have a question, do available seats show up on the Panel inmediately after being added or should the payment for that seat be processed first? Thanks in advance
There’s a need from our engineer partners to maintain versioning of components within Figma. Right now, this process is SUPER manual. The Designer has to maintain a version number within the description box, for reference. And when making changes, we then have to update the description version number, and then secondly add that same version number to the dev ready notes so they can see it in the Ready For dev section (which is also hidden when opening dev ready under “Compare Changes”). It would be amazing if there was just an automatic number 1.0.0 applied to the component when marked ready for dev in a library. And then it could be a button for the designer to determine which type of change they are making and just add the patch number and maintain that so dev can see that and the history of that change.
Hope I can change the annotation’s position: left, right, top , down
Can we add an ability to more easily filter or scan a list of users in the share/access panel? It would be really nice to bubble up who is an editor vs viewer, who is external vs internal. :) Thanks!
I have a component where I have built a workflow of 4 “views”, each a variant, where clicking in the right place does a “change to” to the next view. These all work fine. prob 1, you can’t have a button in a frame target a variant to open. So I worked around this by pulling an instance of the first view out, and that gets opened as an overlay. Still good. And the whole “change to” flow still works. Now for the problem. I updated the initial overlay call to position “bottom right”, which is ok, but now when the “change to” triggers, instead of changing in place, it shifts the overlay to centered. I’ve tried re creating the links, restarting, etc… no change. I tried manual position of the initial overlay, and it still jumps center when “change to”. This bug is a huge problem and limitation as I often need to create similar localized variant usage.
There is a bug in the copy link to selection function. When using the pop up menu and selecting “copy link to selection” it will copy the link to the exact thing that I’ve selected (yay!) The “copy link to selection” function also has a shortcut key, ⌘L (yay!) When using the ⌘L shortcut the link copied only points to the frame/section that the selected object is within, not the original selection. This means that the pop up menu option and the shortcut for that menu option will point to two different links (boo!)
