Figma AI not available in Figma Design

Hey @IBH! Thank you for reaching out! I understand the confusion—let me clarify.

There are two different AI tools available in Figma, one for FigJam and one for Figma Design:

• FigJam AI: This feature is designed to help you quickly build and organize boards for team exercises, meetings, or personal projects. Find more information on our Help Center article: Use AI tools in FigJam
  Since you can already see it in FigJam, this part is working as expected.

• First Draft with Figma AI (Figma Design): This feature in Figma Design helps turn ideas into editable wireframes or designs in minutes, making it easier to explore ideas without starting from scratch. You can find more information in our Help Center article: Use First Draft with Figma AI
  Access to First Draft is gradually rolling out, so you’re absolutely on track to receive it soon! Right now, we’re not manually adding folks to the beta, but don’t worry—access will continue to expand over the next few months. You’ll see an in-product notification when it’s available to you, with all the details on getting started.

As of October 10, 2024, we introduced a redesigned Figma experience, called UI3, which is now available to everyone in Figma Design. UI3 updates the Figma interface but is separate from the AI features.

Why is first draft still not available?

Hey Christian! Working closely with Gayani – The First Draft, is part of AI tools in Figma Design, which is a limited beta. More information on this:

Thus, AI is still rolling out to users on a limited basis, this is why Figma AI might not be available in your account just yet, but no worries! As soon as it’s ready for you, you’ll receive a notification in Figma with all the details once your account has been added to the beta. Thanks for your patience while we get everything set up for you!

But we have december now, why is it still not available in the beta, is this normal?

how long does it take, i am already using the beta and the new UI, but under actions and the bottom bar first draft is not there?

Apologies for any confusion! Yes, this is normal. Even though UI3 has been fully launched, we’re still working on gradually rolling out Figma AI (so yes, this is normal that Figma AI might not be available in your account just yet. This is a separate limited beta). Thanks for your patience, you will get a notification in Figma once it’s ready for you 🙏

Strange. I had access to some of Figma's AI features in our team cause I remember using them a few weeks ago. I used rewrite text feature often for populating multiple text fields with AI generated text. Then our team had to make a new Figma team to change currency and now the AI access is gone. Really unfortunate. I suppose we have to wait for access again. I value the rewrite text feature very much.

Hey ​@Anna Ozola, thank you for reaching out! Figma AI access is granted on a team-specific basis. Please double-check which team you had access to by using the team picker in the sidebar. You should still find the features available in one of your existing teams.

We’re tired of waiting we’re gonna switch

I have same problem as @IBH.

 The fun fact is that I helped one of my friend, to register edu plan for learning and Doing Some practical tasks. She is from another state but we both are in the same country. We just collaborating to complete our first UX portfolio project.

 And guess what,  she got AI features, and I’m still struggling, to find ways 😂 How to enable, blabla…

 PS: In Figjam I got it, but In the Design File Called First Draft Can’t get it

I need Figma AI, but I can't find how to use it now！When can we go online？
