Recently I got a problem with my Figma projects (web and app likewise) - all the PNG files in any project does not load, as well as their thumbnails (the thumbnails got partially fixed at some point, but now are not loading again). My attempts to fix the issue: Pressed Help - Troubleshoot - Reset Figma and Restart couple of times. Cleared my both C and D drives (not completely), removed the unnecessary .fig, .psd, .png files, some apps, even the After Effects and Media Encoder, since the initial thought was the problem was caused by some sort of incompatibility. Cleared the browser cache (both the Chrome-based one I use and the Chrome itself). Updated the AMD drivers to the latest version. Updated Figma app to the latest version. Re-installed Figma app like 5 times, and I hope it was a proper reinstall, since everytime I opened FigmaSetup, it just went straight to the app, without even a chance of choosing different drive to install (I don’t remember how did the app behave the very fir
Download code button in figma make is giving a blank zip file, title of project is “project” and has no slashes or periods.
I am building a plugin that identifies whether a component is linked to a design system library. If the component is linked to a library, I want to identify the name of the library it is coming from. For example, if I use a component from the iOS design system library in my design file, I want to detect that it's linked and show that the component is from the “iOS” design system. How do I get the library name from the node?
Hey Figma team, I wanted to report a problem that’s been bugging our team for the past few months. We have an Icon Library in our design system, as well as a separate glyph library. These icons are used in different sizes across the product (16px, 24px, etc.). The master components of each icon and glyph contain elements which are all set to ‘scale’. However, within our larger components, whenever we want to swap an instance of an icon with a different one from our library, the scaling (of dimensions, stroke width, and border radius) is not properly applied, resulting in a broken view. One example is: We have a nested icon component scaled to 16x16px; We replace the instance with another icon from either library (original component of which is 24x24 but all elements set to scale) and expect it to scale properly to the 16x16 dimensions. However, the swapped icon appears broken in terms of the scale of elements inside, stroke width and border radius; We have to resort to a workaround lik
Scale is one of my most used properties when designing interactions and states. It would be great if we had true ‘scale’ as a property. No, I’m not talking about the scale tool. That’s fake scale that affects the width/height of elements. I want the ability to enter something like ‘1.5’ and change the scale of an element, respectively.
Hi! I’m testing a site built with the new Figma Sites feature. I’ve set the top navigation bar as a sticky element and made sure it’s positioned at the very top of the layer tree. In the Layout panel, canvas stacking is set to “First on top.” Canvas stakcking settings It looks fine on Figma and Chrome(desktop & laptop) On Safari and mobile browsers, the sticky navigation bar appears underneath the hero section content, even though it’s set to be the topmost layer in the design. On Chrome (desktop & laptop): everything works as intended — the GNB stays sticky and always remains on top. On Safari (desktop & laptop) and all mobile browsers (Safari & Chrome): the GNB is sticky, but appears underneath other layers and is partially or fully hidden. Is there a workaround or fix for this issue? Thanks in advance!
When I copy a component and paste it only the text part of the component getting pasted, loosing all the properties associated with that component.
I reach out a few months ago about Figma not working on chormebooks and the issue seems to be back. Attached is a message a student gone on their chromebook. Is there anyway you can help? Thank you.
I received an email last week saying I needed to renew my Educators plan and that some information was required, I sent everything and was automatically approved. The problem is I still have my files on view only mode and cant edit anything (even if it allows me to ask for editing permissions to the owner -which is myself and can’t give permissions to myself.-) Help please!
I use branching to update the component library. Because we are adjusting multiple components simultaneously, and some take longer to design or there are simply longer breaks (holidays, prioritization, etc.), it could be very painful to merge changes from the main file to the branch. Especially when the changes are not all loaded at the same time. Now, I have to click on one conflict, wait x minutes to load another, select it, wait again, etc. This process is highly ineffective and consumes a large amount of time. It’s even worse when, after 1 hour of checking the file and resolving conflicts, I receive a message saying that the merge failed. What I propose is to load all the conflicts in one go - even if it takes a longer time - and be able after to go through changes afterward without lagging. Ideally the progress bar would show approximate time or percentage. The ‘Resolve all’ button is not helpful because I want to keep some changes from the branch.
Hi! I have a strange problem. When I use Auto Layout in the **web version** of Figma, everything works fine. The Auto Layout panel appears on the right and I can change padding, spacing, direction, etc. But in the **desktop version**, even after pressing Shift + A and applying Auto Layout to a frame, the Auto Layout panel doesn't appear on the right side at all. Things I already tried:– Reinstalled the app– Cleared cache (from AppData folders)– Restarted computer– Switched UI modes– Tried different files– Used another Windows user account– Checked latest version Still the panel is missing in desktop app, but works fine in web. I'm using Windows and live in Uzbekistan. Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance!
I’ve created a project in Figma Sites and connected to my domain with DNS. In the file settings, I’ve made sure to uncheck the “Exclude from search engine results” option. However, after publishing, the noindex meta tag still appears in the site’s head when i try to do index in Google Console. There are no noindex tags in my code. Can you please help me with my problem.Site URL on my domain is https://www.footfault.club/
When sharing a link to a page in Figma to a viewer, we have recently experienced that the viewer can not see the updates made by the designer when the reviewer is revisiting the page via the link the day after? It’s creating a lot of frustrations when you think the viewer is seeing the same thing as the designer is, but they can’t see the updates that have been made since last.We have not noticed this earlier. Is there a fix for it? We have also experienced that the updates made by one designer (in the most recent case a new page added in a file) was not visible to another designer until the other designer reopened the file. This causing great frustrations when designers working together online on the same project.
