My Figma app updated and the new layers UI has become unusable for me. I rely heavily on the previous layer icons to know what is a frame vs a group vs autolayout vs a component. The images in the layers panel is not useful to me. Is there a way to restore the old icons in the layers panel?
We're currently experiencing an issue with Google authentication in our Figma Make + Supabase setup. When a user attempts to sign up using their Google account, the user is successfully created in Supabase, but the OAuth callback URL doesn't work as expected. As a result, the user isn't redirected to the authenticated part of the application. This breaks the login flow, effectively preventing access to the app despite the user being created in the Supabase auth table.
I’m trying to use Figma Buzz to create some templates. We have an icon library that uses a swap instance property within the component to swap out the icon as well as a property to define the size of the icon. As you can see in the image, it is only showing that first property of size of the icon and doesn’t let me switch out the actual icon with the instance swap. Is this a bug or limitation? If I click one more time it does show me my nested instance property where I can turn on the fill of the icon, but I don’t see how to access all the icons through the instance swap property we have on the component. This image shows the replacements it’s offering me, which is to only change the size of the icon. This image shows our original component we have size properties to define the size of the icon, and then an instance swap to choose the actual icon. Are we doing this wrong for this to be useful in Figma Buzz. Why can’t we see this other property in Figma Buzz?

I just trying to reorder the variable but the row didn’t show the hint to drag an drop 22 July 2025 have any update ? [The title of his post was updated from “cannot reorder in variable 22 JUL” to “Unable to Reorder Values in Variable Panel — July 22 Update” by a moderator on 22-Jul-2025.]
With the new update, we have a great new feature, but unfortunately, it’s not usable with our component structure. Exposing all props of a nested instance also exposes props that we don’t want in the context of the consuming component. What if we could also select which properties to expose? This would lead to a cleaner sidebar with only valid props.
Alt text and tooltips are incredibly important for accessibility. But to show a tooltip interaction in Figma, (afaik) you need to create a custom tooltip/find out as a component and then create a show/hide interaction on mouseover in the prototyping. I would like to request that Figma allows for users to add tooltips to page elements, so that this functions per a standard tooltip — showing where the cursor hovers on the element, and with the user only needing to add the text (no need to create and hide a a text panel).
I’ve been noticing an issue when using variables from the library in gradient mode on a shape. Everything works fine when selecting the variable color to create the gradient. The problem happens when I try to change the position of the color stop in the linear gradient — it turns to default white. This only happens when moving the color stops on top of the shape or just making click in the color. The variable color doesn’t change when adjusting the gradient from the gradient panel. Also, when moving the stop on top of the shape, the color changes to white, but it still keeps the name of the variable. The same behavior happens when using radial, angular, and diamond gradients. It seems like this only happens inside a Figma File. Using variable color in gradients Moving color stop on top of the shape, it changes to white, but not the name of the variable Moving the color stop in the gradient panel “works fine” Already moved the two colors on top of the shape.
Hi Figma Support, I recently received a message that my Figma Education Plan has expired, even though I renewed it less than a year ago. Since my situation as a student hasn’t changed and I can’t afford the premium plan, I reapplied for the education plan. However, my request was rejected with this message:“You’ve already used up your free access to the Figma Education plan.Upgrade your plan to keep creating and editing unlimited files, or create a new professional team.” Is there a time limit on how long a student can access the Education Plan? I really need it to continue working on my bootcamp projects, which I currently can’t view or edit. Please consider my situation. I would be grateful for any help to regain access. Thank you for understanding.
課題:PaddingやMarginなどレイアウトを調整する際、つい全角で数字を入力してしまうことがあります。しかし、こういった場合、毎回変換キーを押して全角→半角に変換するか、最初から入力し直す必要があり、少し手間です。 提案内容:数字を自動で半角に変換するオプション --- Problem: When adjusting layout values like padding or margin, I often end up typing numbers in full-width (Japanese input). To fix this, I need to manually convert them to half-width or retype them, which is a bit inconvenient. Proposal: Add an option to automatically convert numbers to half-width.
If I change the icon in a button and then change the state of a button from default to hover, the icon color does NOT change. (works fine if you don’t change the icon)I’m using stroke icons, and the scope settings in the color variable is set up to handle stroke. Please let me know what I need to do to so the swapped icon will change color on override.Video: https://monosnap.com/file/RUUxOXXXdznZoemEG4Aow5wO4As8Vx
I have created a badge inside Figma, and it consists of two elements. The background element is positioned at x:0, y:0, and the foreground element is centrally positioned in respect to the foreground element. Both elements are using integer values for positioning. When I go to the export menu I get the following error messages: Origin not aligned to pixels. Origin snapped to (-5, -16). Dimensions may expand by a pixel. I get those messages regardless whether I'm exporting as PNG or SVG. When I export the work as a PNG everything from Figma gets preserved on that PNG image, but the problem starts s when I export the work as an SVG. When I do export it as an SVG file and I open it in Inkscape or I use it as a component on the website, it gets messed up. The gradient from the badge does not get preserved, the edges become rough, and it doesn’t look like an SVG element but rather as a low quality jpeg file. Then I have created a completely new file in Figma and draw a triangle shape inside
