My company’s workspace owner is currently an account created with my company’s old domain name (let’s say old.com). But my company is going through a rebranding and thus we’re changing both our name and domain (to, let’s say, new.com) and phasing out old.com. How do I go about updating the account’s e-mail to one under the new domain? Because if I simply try updating it from the account settings I get this really scary warning message below. I’ve been trying to contact support about this for weeks, but haven’t got a single reply so far.

Is there a way to have more custom elliptical corner radius on elements in Figma? Right now, I only see the ability to change the size of a perfectly round corner - but CSS offers the ability to set the horizontal and vertical (x,y) separately. example: .object { border-radius: 5px / 25px; } If not, then I recommend this small improvement. I’ve needed it this week.
FigJam Share an idea # When I make a square it very easily becomes a rectangle. I would like FigJam to use its standard method to indicate squareness, i.e. that the length of one side is equal to that of an adjacent side. This seems normal in other packages.

I’m trying to bind a variable to a layer. All the videos/tutorials explaining how to do this (including Figma’s own tutorials) feature a “Layer” panel in the right-side menu (NOT the big “LayerS” panel on the left side). For example, here’s an image from Figma’s tutorials: https://help.figma.com/hc/article_attachments/15253641613335. Note the “Layer” panel in the right menu between “Design” and “Fill” which allows you to bind a variable to a layer. Where the heck is that menu?? I have no such menu. I have a full Professional license. No features should be hidden. Any ideas? PS. Hi guys, I am currently working on my first-ever case study. For this, I need SVG or image files of a map of New York City. Can anybody suggest a plugin or resource where I can generate or download a map of New York, similar to Google Maps or Apple Maps (Apple Maps is preferred, though)? I really need it. Or is there any other way? Please let me know. Thank you! It would be a big help and really appreciated.
Component text changes to default text on hover when it is nested. But the component separately works well. Anyone has a way out or this is an issue everyone is facing? Is it me or is the interface of Figma broken? In Prototype mode, when I have a button and want to add interactions this happens: I add a mouse enter event and set it to change to variant ‘hover’ I add a mouse leave event and set it to change to variant ‘normal’ Now when I check the settings, these change to actions are linked. Whatever I select last, is the setting for both of these. If I change the mouse enter to change to ‘hover’, the mouse leave is also set to ‘hover’ When I change mouse leave to ‘normal’, so does mouse enter. This is not the case for the mouse down and mouse up events. They remember their own setting correctly.
Just wanted to share a fix to an issue I’ve been struggling with and couldn’t find the solution to on this forum. Issue: I have a 48px tall pill shaped button. I’ve set the corner radius to a high number like 9999. When hovering, the button gets a label so the button width naturally increases – but during the transition of eg. 300ms using Smart Animate, the button edges becomes pixelated. Solution: Simply set the the corner radius to 24. Hope it works for you too. Cheers.
I’m trying to use the restore version from the history feature. I was using it in the past, it was working. Now it’s not. Restoring the desired version, the file reloads, and the history shows a new entry “Restored version” but when clicking ESC to leave the history mode the file goes back to the pre-restore version. The “Restored version” shows the pre-restore version now 🤨 . I keep encountering bugs all the time lately. History, yesterday one prototype interaction wasn’t working and then miraculously started working after 6h (even though I refreshed proto X times, and approached the case X ways, in the end initial approach started working), 2 days ago a single frame just disappeared. Stop introducing changes, and start fixing bugs, they are getting out of control. Really.
Hi there! I’ve encountered an issue when running my mobile prototypes on an iPhone with the Figma App. Actions placed in the header area (around 44px from the top) will not react on click/tap events. I have run some tests (see the screenshot) The green squares react on the on click event and open the overlay. The red ones don’t. The third square reacts from the bottom half of it. Also tested it with bigger squares to make sure that the clickable area isn’t to small, but had the same result. The issue occured on: iPhone 13 Mini, iPhone 13 Pro Max, iPhone 15 Plus. However it worked on an iPhone SE (with the black bars on top and bottom). It also works as expected on a Samsung Galaxy A40. Thank you in advance! Michael
There is a bug in the copy link to selection function. When using the pop up menu and selecting “copy link to selection” it will copy the link to the exact thing that I’ve selected (yay!) The “copy link to selection” function also has a shortcut key, ⌘L (yay!) When using the ⌘L shortcut the link copied only points to the frame/section that the selected object is within, not the original selection. This means that the pop up menu option and the shortcut for that menu option will point to two different links (boo!)
Hello, I recently started a new Figma design with two new fonts, “Cinzel” and “Lemon Milk.” I downloaded both fonts, restarted Figma, and began designing the typography scale. At first, I was able to use both fonts with no problem, but then the next time I loaded Figma, the “Lemon Milk” font was “missing.” I could not replace the font, nor could I search for the font again in the Typography search dialog box. I’ve tried to restart Figma, clear the cache, reinstall the fonts, and restart my device. Nothing seems to be working. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hi, when I use certain font (Helvetica Neue LT Std in my example) the text is not vertically centered and I can’t find any way of adjusting the ascender/descender values (like mentioned in this article: Fix Vertical Position Issue of Custom iOS Fonts | TO THE NEW Blog). How can I fix this in Figma? There are ways I can hack it, for instance changing the height of the text box and the text alignment but then I will sacrifice how other features work, e.g. Auto Layout. Thanks
👋 Figma has been a blessing in designing UIs for our Game made in Unity. We’re just having issues with exported images being rendered desaturated / washed out inside of the engine. Especially when they contain transparencies. Here’s what it looks like: Without going into much detail, the only possible fix I found in Unity is switchting to Gamma Color Space instead of the default Linear Color Space. For various reason, that’s not an option for our game. I tried exporting with Display P3 color space but didn’t notice any changes. Opening the file in Photoshop for example renders the image correctly. Do you know any settings I could try in Figma? Or maybe a plugin that can export the file correctly? Thanks!

I have an element in a design where an effect (e.g., box-shadow) is used, and the effect involves several variables: color, blur, spread… I’m trying to unbind the variable that sets the radius, as described in the documentation on this page: https://www.figma.com/plugin-docs/working-with-variables/#example-binding-a-variable-to-a-node-or-style const effectsCopy = clone(node.effects); effectsCopy[0] = figma.variables.setBoundVariableForEffect(effectsCopy[0], 'radius', null); node.effects = effectsCopy; However, I’m encountering an issue where not only the radius variable is unbound but all variables used for this effect are completely unbound. Hi All, I am creating a design where there are three possible path that a user can follow from screen. The easiest way would be to create a screen with flow selector (which I need to avoid). I want the flow/path selection to happen automatically from any one of the three path randomly. How do i achieve it.
Today I just opened my project and noticed in the design panel the “Content” group for text is missing. I can edit the text by double clicking on the object though. Since this option is missing, I cannot create properties for components. However, when I select a component I made earlier and created a property for it, the content group is now visible in the design tab/panel. If I break the link, then the content group disappears! gone I’m not sure if there are any other groups missing for other shape, frame or drawing tools! Notes: This happens in all projects. I’ve tried reloading the tabs to no avail. I’ve tried both web and desktop app, same issue. Everything was working when I shut down last night and no updates have occured. Adding text to a new page gives the same no “Content” group in the design tab Any ideas or anyone else affected? EDIT: When working on the master component, I can break the link now and the “Content” group is now visible in the design tab, however, it is NO
I have a component that I updated and then published individually by clicking “Publish changes…” in the properties panel. The component updated without issue, but it still shows up as “modified” when I open the file-level “Publish Library” dialog. At the component level, it no longer shows as having changes to publish. I’m now wondering how many of my components are showing a false-positive…
This doesn’t seem to be happening to anyone else. If I leave the line in, the plugin fails with the same error. The function is recognized when I use it in the Scripter plugin. Could something be wrong with my plugin configuration files? Maybe I’m using an older version of the Figma API somehow?
