I’ve just cancelled my Professional plan as I’m not using it enough to justify the cost. My monthly subscription is listed as renewing on January 16, 2026, so I would expect access to my files to be terminated at that point and would not expect any further charges. However, when I cancelled, there was a notification stating that the subscription renews in June 2026. Could you please confirm that there will not be any further charges going forward as I do not want the Professional plan from the end of this month’s billing period.

Many thanks,

Paul

Hi @PaulAshby

I understand you saw a notification saying your subscription renews in June 2026 after canceling your Professional plan.

First, to clarify how your file access works in this case:

Canceling your Professional plan will downgrade your team to the free Starter plan at the end of your current billing period.

If your team has more files than what’s allowed on the Starter plan when the downgrade happens, Figma will temporarily prevent you from editing your files.

Once you move files to another team or into your Drafts so that your team meets the Starter limits, you’ll be able to continue editing.

You can read more about this here: Downgrade or cancel your plan

Regarding your concern about future charges, we’re not able to assist with individual billing questions here in the Forum for security and privacy reasons. I’ll go ahead and create a support ticket(#1646928) on your behalf so our team can contact you directly and help you with this.

Thanks,
