Hello! I downloaded the Figma font installer so I can use local adobe fonts, but it is not working. Any idea why? I have the local fonts activated on adobe creative cloud. I have restarted Figma as well.

Hi, my prototype was working fine 3 days ago. It’s working incorrectly today. Has Figma received an update regarding the prototype? Otherwise, I don’t understand why my prototype broke? If there is no text in it, there is no problem, but as long as there is text, there will be lag. Anyone have any ideas?
I currently have a component (child component) that is nested in another component. The prototype interaction for that child component only have the “after delay” interaction. When that child component is used by itself, the prototype interations work just fine. However, the prototype interactions of that child component do not run/happen when it’s nested in the other component. Is there a way to get the child component’s interaction to run inside the other component? I wish there was a way to get the component its nested in to “read” it’s interaction state, but I know that isn’t possible.
Previously when linking to a page when working with the prototype dialog window in Figma, If you had frames with the same name, you could hover down the list of frames and Figma would highlight the frame you are about to link to. This was great because if you have multiple items to link to one page, you could use that feature to apply prototype links to multiple items at once. For some reason now this seems to have stopped working as frames with the same name all highlight at once as you hover over them, making it impossible to choose a single frame using the prototype dialog window. Is this a bug? Or a new feature? @figma if it’s the latter it has had a negative affect on producing larger prototypes with many links quickly. Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

I tried restarting, uninstall-reinstall Figma but it’s still the same. I’m no expert on Figma and I’m just reviewing a design for my application
I have a “Contextual menu” component which has three variants. Each use a button type and a menu (list). One uses a primary-button (set to secondary), one uses a “ghost-button” the other an “icon-button”. My issue is if a designer adds their text label when the menu is set to default (primary-button) then switches to “ghost” the label is back to ghost-button’s default label. The buttons are separate components but they on their own will carry label overrides between them but they don’t seem to be able to do it now that they are nested inside this new component. Is there a way to allow overrides to also be share here? Below is the components and variant states and the button structure of the nested buttons insode the contextual menu.
When I need to use my mobile phone to preview my design draft, the problem I often encounter is lag, or no response or slow response. This is the most unbearable problem for me when using Figma, such as having to select the entire artboard. To preview, if I click on another artboard, I will go to another artboard. The normal logic should be that I click on anything in this artboard to preview the entire artboard, so I don’t need to click back and forth on the entire artboard to preview. Just like Sketch, in addition, when I use other software during the preview process and then return, I will find that the current preview interface will be blank, but clicking on other artboards will work, so I have to restart the APP to preview. It’s terrible. Every time I start the preview app, I have to select the artboard first, and then wait for it to pop up a prompt to preview the selected artboard. This is really uncomfortable. I think those are somehow related to making layers stay still under an auto-layout layer. I always seen them in complex buttons with bg layers. Can you please put a light on it?
how to log out of Figma on other devices. The login was done through a google account. thanks
The font size is display larger in the browser than in figma - see screen shot. It’s noticeably larger. Figma is set to 100% zoom level. No zooming or anything with browser. So thought the font use in the browser was just larger, so took a screenshot and dragged it into figma, overlaying it on the font style directly in figma. It’s the same size. Can only think it’s something render related, but the different is to large to be a render issue. Or is 100% in figma smaller than the browser, which doesn’t seem like that would be the answer. Dunno, I’m completely lost. Can anyone help explain what is going on here? Many thanks
Hello! Can I achieve this responsive effect in Figma in project mode and then show it to the client in a prototype? Example: Responsive image gallery Using the autolayout wrap feature images in the gallery always remain the same size, meanwhile I need an effect in which all images enlarge or shrink depending on their number on the screen and the screen width. I’ve been struggling with creating a fully responsive image gallery for several days and I’m starting to doubt whether it’s even possible in Figma. I would be very grateful for your help in clarifying this problem. I am aware of the additional problem of maintaining the images aspect ratio, but I’ve already found a solution using the Ratios plugin. All the best, K.
On the web version, I want to change font settings because some of the fonts in my file are missing. When I try to open font settings nothing appears When I try to change the font locally I can’t change any of the fonts I can’t change the font of the style I don’t see the missing style icon at the top toolbar. I only see it when hovering on the text, but I can’t click it. And, most badly, I can’t edit or create new texts in that file or any other file (even those who don’t use these fonts) The problem started when I copied a Figma community file to one of my projects. I’m a team owner, so I’ve got permissions to all files and libraries. BTW It’s a Google font, so I’m not sure why the font is not working ont the first place. Any ideas? Thanks Rumya
Hi there, when I try to add a file to my favorites the tooltip text states that my limit of 20 favorites is reached. However, when I look at my left sidebar I just have 8 files inside my favorites list. I guess it is a bug? I’m not able to add my other 12 favorites.

I am trying to make a simple dropdown menu for a searchbar. The dropdown menu works like a charm but here comes the problem: the width of the menu changes with what option is selected and I want it aligned to the left but every time I change it to a different option it expands to the right instead of the left: What am I doing wrong here?
I can’t figure out why my chevron isn’t rotating in my accordion component when I play the prototype. The chevron arrow has a direction property (up, down, left, right). I’ve made sure that the vector is the only thing that’s rotating. When I directly add an ‘on click → change to: {direction}’ interaction to the chevron icon, it behaves as expected. However, when the chevron icon is nested inside my Icon button-component, used in the accordion component, it doesn’t rotate. Choosing the ‘Reset component state’ option in the prototype settings allows the chevron to rotate, but this also resets the content within the accordion. What do I need to do to solve the problem?

Hey, I am having an issue. I am using the string variable to change an image upon hover. This works, however when I make this into a component variant I lose the ability to attach my string variant to the image inside the component. When I detach the component i have the ability again. Any idea’s on how to solve this? Thanks
I am a student in a web design class. I would like some help, please. Why are some of my connector nodes in prototype mode not appearing? Please see my screenshot’s red circle what I mean. As I hover over some of my graphics in prototype mode, the nodes do not appear. How do I make them appear on the graphics/text elements? Also, I am trying to make 3 prototype flows, how do I create separate flows for each flow? Thank you for any help. Much appreciated!
I saw this topic raised in the past. Wanted to surface it again because this continues to be an issue for me now and has been throughout the years I’ve been using Figma. Comments do not get copied over when duplicating a file or when exporting a .fig file. Has anyone found a workaround for this? @Figma_Support Is an update for this issue coming our way in the future?
So I’m trying to make a TikTok style demo where you can scroll through videos by dragging up, and (minimally) a pause and mute button. Here’s my problem (bug?) – When I scroll from one frame to the next, sometimes the audio track of the first video plays over the audio track of the second video. Steps to reproduce: play first video (it’s on Autoplay anyway) Tap to pause first video Scroll up to play second video Tap to pause second video. Notice that audio from first video is playing Tap to unpause second video. Notice that audio from second video is playing Scroll up to play third video Tap to pause third video. Notice that audio from first and second videos are playing I have tried all three State Management checkboxes in my drag/navigate interaction (Reset Scroll Position/Component State/Video State) but nothing changes. I would think that when navigating away from one frame to another would stop a video… can anyone suggest a workaround for this behavior? Thank you all.
In Figma, is there any way of seeing which projects and files any single team member owns? In this specific case one of my designers moved to a different team, still within the company but in a different country. They will still have a company Figma account. Some of their Projects have the setting “Members of Team X can view” (While inside the projects all the files are set to “Everyone at Team X can access this file.”) it has become a bit of a hassle when Team X members have to ask them to change the settings just to be able to add or move Files. As far as I can see there’s no way of getting a list of Projects and Files they own like: Team Member John Smith has ownership of: Team X - Project Y - File A, File B, File C Team Z - Project Q - File D I can’t seem to find any way of checking that, except going through each and every Project and File one by one. Same seems to apply to Team members that have left (as in, their Figma accounts were terminated) that will still be listed as Own
