Release compound paths

I want to split compound shapes / boolean-ed shapes into their original separate shapes. In Illustrator and freehand you used to be able to release compound paths / divide shapes. I can’t figure out how to uncombine shapes in Figma once they have been combined. What am I missing. Yes I can remove the punched counter via the path tool, but that’s extremely tedious, especially if you’ve got a lot of shapes to work through. This is a simple task in other vector apps…

Fill it with a bucket tool, select the filled region, drag it away from the shape you want to keep and delete.
