I really like that Figma has it’s own annotation feature with categorization, properties and so forth. But God damn, why can’t we just copy+paste and move them around like we want to?. It is extremely cumbersome to write the same thing over and over again for each screen and not being able to adjust the position.
Okay, I’ve spent WEEKS problem shooting this with ChatGPT and today I finally found out what was wrong. It was a bug. Nothing I did wrong. So, I wanted to create a link navigation where the hover effect was an underline for the link text. First surpirse was that I couldn’t just do that inside my initial “Navigation button” component, because Figma overhauls text styles to be consistent within a component’s variants. Okay, easy workaround: create a Label component with an instance without underline and one with and use those inside the final button component using the underlined variant only in the “Hover” variant. I learned that interactions should only be done in the main component, not in the “Label” component. Okay, seemed to be working on the test layer, but moving it to the actual design page broke the interaction and nothing happened. Hey everyone! Our team has built a multi-brand design system that supports three different brand themes, each with both light and dark modes. All our icons are created as unions. This helps preserve the color override when an icon is swapped inside a component. For example: all icons use the “icon” color variable by default, but within a success inline message component, the icon is overridden with the “icon-success” color variable (green), as the icon should always be green in that context. Swapping, say, a checkmark icon with “icon-success” applied for a shield icon retains the correct “icon-success” variable. So far, so good. However, when we re-theme the inline message component from Brand 1 to Brand 2, the icon switches to a different brand-specific variant from the icon component set. Hi, in some instance, i see a `fills[0].imageHash` to have a null value.fills[0] is of type `IMAGE`it’s attached to a node that i can see in the editor, and i can see the image. It seems to be that the image is somehow corrupted,it is a node that i transfered from one file to another here’s a file to reproduce the issue, take a look at the root node (named “root”)it has 1 fill of type image with a null imageHash Is this a known issue ?should i let it gracefully fail ? or hope for a real fix ? I am encountering a CORS error in my Figma plugin. Previously, it was working fine after adding entries in the manifest.json for networkAccess. My current configuration is: "networkAccess": { "allowedDomains": [ "*" ], "devAllowedDomains": [ "*" ], "reasoning": "Dev Purpose" } Despite using "*", the plugin has started giving CORS errors recently. Is there any change in how Figma handles networkAccess, or is there something else I need to check to resolve this issue?
Hi everyone, I've encountered an issue that I can't resolve on my own, so I'm reaching out for help. Our team is researching the prompt-to-code feature on Figma Make and we have a shared Make File. However, the Preview feature doesn’t seem to work for me, even though it works for my colleagues. I can only prompt and see the code generated by the system, but I can't see any preview. I've tried switching to different browsers (Edge, Chrome), using the Desktop App, clearing caches, restarting my Mac, and re-signing into Figma, but the preview screen remains blank. Good morning everyone Please I have been dealing with this prototype issues and every video I watch doesn't address the issue. Lately my prototype keep showing up of the screen,it doesn't display in the full selected phone frame,I have tried my best to solve it but it not working.. I’m unable to bulk load images as file paths in Figma Buzz. I tried both csv and xlsx files and when I upload the file it reads it as a text field . I’m just wondering if we are doing something wrong? Thanks
Almost a year ago and this Bug is still present: Re-Center doesn’t work when linking to a component via Dev Mode link. Zoom level is totally zoomed out, making it hard for the devs to find the component. Pressing “2” or “Zoom to selection” has no effect. Please fix it. It has been a year!!!
This might be seen as human error and no one is supposed to rotate the frame before designing anyway but as I accidentally found this, maybe there’s some sort of measure to ensure that this won’t be an issue. What happen was i created a vertical frame and ironically didnt like it that way so rotated that 90 degree before proceed to create grid to test out the new features. As i added visuals, I quickly found out that the snap to grid feature does not work and it keeps show me 1x1 even if I extended to 1x2 or 2x1. (Image attached) Maybe it’s my bad and I can simply just rotate my frame then every else in it back to 0 degree but I couldn't help but think that there might be better way? Maybe all grid features should work in all orientation or at the least we can alerted if the setup is off. Just a thought, thanks! PS: The feature is incredible, please continue to improve it! Big fan.
Have there been any other requests to default auto-layout master component/variant groups? Referring to the purple dotted outline around the base/variants. Would remove two taps if I want to shuffle the order of the variants. Thanks in advance!

I have a hard time finding the corresponding Chinese fonts in Figma. I think fonts in other languages have similar problems.Can we add the ability for the software to read font names?

I keep receiving the error: “Something went wrong. Please refresh or try again later.” I have tried to remediate the issue by: trying again a day later duplicating the file and trying again clearing app cache trying desktop vs web reverting back to previous builds No luck on any of the above. Any suggestions? Have I hit a max amount of prompts? Frustrating as I’ve reached a point in my prototype that needs fixes and it is locked up.

I would like to use Figma Buzz for social media templates but the font I am using is variable and I would like a specific optical size which I can set separately in a standard Figma file but I cannot set it in Figma Buzz, it changes automatically when increasing the font size and that doesn’t work for me in this situation. I know the idea was to have a more intuitive interface for simple templates but I would use it a lot in Figma Buzz if it was available. Would it be possible to implement it on there?

Hi everyone, We're currently facing an issue with webhooks in the project context. We've created a webhook to listen for FILE_COMMENT events on a project. The webhook was successfully created, and we’ve confirmed that the PING event is received correctly. However, when testing with multiple users posting comments on files within the project, no comment events are being triggered. We’ve verified this by checking the webhook logs using the GET /v2/webhooks/:webhook_id/requests endpoint — only the initial PING event appears there. Is there something we might be missing regarding webhook configuration for project-level comment events? Are there any known limitations or permissions issues that might prevent comment events from firing in a project context? Any help or insight would be appreciated! Thanks in advance.
In our company, we use font variables for our three types of branding. We build components using the font variables to make sure everyone uses the correct branding and components. Recently we discovered that - when resizing a component - the font variables are fixed to the branding of ‘Mode 1’. It can’t be switched back on, except when you Detach the Component. Is this expected behavior? Can it be looked at?
