I checked for similar reports of fills and strokes not appearing in prototypes and tested a few scenarios in my own files, but so far I haven’t been able to reproduce the issue you’re seeing.

A quick question — are these new forms being created from a design system? If so, it’s possible that a component, style, or variable in that library needs to be corrected and republished. That can sometimes restore the proper fill and stroke to any related instances. This article has a helpful overview if you’d like to double-check: Guide to libraries in Figma.

If that doesn’t clear things up and the issue is still happening, it might be best for our Product Support team to take a closer look at the specific files (and any linked libraries). To get that started, please reach out using this secure form and include:

• a link to one of the affected files
• edit access granted to support-share@figma.com
• a full-size screen recording of the issue (with the left/right side panels visible, if possible).
