Copy and paste no longer work while using FigJam on my iPad Pro (12.9-inch) (5th generation). I’m unable to copy and paste objects on the canvas, or even text from another application onto the canvas. It stopped working something like a couple weeks ago.
I have an overlay (on hover), with a button that opens (on click) another menu overlay. in the overlayed menu I have a button that changes a variable. The variable is changing a component variant(it works) however this component has few animated on delay steps from the newly changed variant - but they don’t work. If the same button is in the frame, it will change the variable that changes the variant and the sequence of on delay steps will work. so basically the same button will initiate the change from both frame and overlay, but when its initiated from the overlay the component sequence animation will not work. Any ideas?
Hi Figma Team I have been converting my Styles to Variables now and when I got to the part where I’m organizing my color Groups it keeps on glitching whenever I drag my “Tertiary” group and the indicator shows that I’m not dropping it into another group but it still does put it in another group. Also, it’s a little annoying whenever I try to click through different groups the window jumps around because some groups have different list lengths. Please see the video for details
Summary Running findAllWithCriteria({types : ['INSTANCE']}) and then accessing properties on the returned instances causes subsequent calls to return ±5x the amount of results. Additional Info This doesn’t seem to happen on other node types, just INSTANCE nodes skipInvisibleChildren is set to false (running with it on does the same thing, just less) Running a custom traversal function returns the 5x amount. Accessing the id property doesn’t seem to trigger the amount increase. The instances in the large array seem to have unique ids. There’s also a small difference between calling it once and second time but remains consistent after the second call. Any info/help would be appreciated.
I’ve made quite big varaibles library using three groups (primitive, system and component). Everything looked fine until I desided to change hover and active state colors for my secondary cta. In the varaibles table they updated, aslo in most of the components, but there are some that still look like before. After cheking their varaibles’ names everything looks ok in the table, but the colors don’t change. Now I’m worried that I have to go and search trought my whole design system.
Hi; I’m working on a feature for my plugin QoQo. this feature allows the plugin to send text in Hindi to Figma canvas. The font is set to Inter which does not support Hindi, but I expect Figma to fall back to a font that support Hindi glyphs. Recording: Loom | Free Screen & Video Recording Software | Loom
Hi team, I am experiencing an issue while prototyping a component. The variable I assigned to the click interaction does not change accordingly. I have provided a video below to demonstrate the issue. I am hoping to get this issue fixed as soon as possible. Thanks, Rav
Managed to crash search when trying to use the replace feature. I selected manually a bunch of items on the list and try to change before being shown this and causing a reset.
I created a frame (“A”) and nested a frame (“B”) within it. Months ago the way it worked was that I could drag to change the height of B, and then A would resize accordingly. Having been working with Figma for almost 2 years now, I have a good familiarity with the interface. Basically, A models a webpage with the width being “device width”, and B models a “max-width” CSS value. There are two approaches: Approach 1: Make B have fixed height, and let this be the “control”. The control is the frame that I manually drag to quickly change the height of the content area in my wireframe. In this scenario, A should automatically resize to match the height of B because A is set to “hug”. Approach 2: Make A have fixed height and set B height to “fill”. Neither of these approaches was working. No matter what I tried, B height only offered “Fixed” and A didn’t offer a “Hug” option, despite the fact that A was already set to auto layout. At the last minute, I decided to try disabling auto layout o
This has happened in multiple components of my library and design files but I’ve just not bothered with it and manually updated it to this point. We are introducing a large change in UI and I do not want this to happen as we scale more down the road. Our library has nested and hidden master components within one master component to be accessed by our designers. Example: “_item/ Single Tab” which has 5 variants for states and multiple boolean options for that single tab. Which then I create a master component with multiple layers “_item/Single Tab” to one “Tab” master which later will be scaled for both horizontal and vertical tabs. This master component only shows up for the designer when published and I work on changes in the “item/single tab” component to be published. Expectation of change: I changed the above hover and active state in the single tab and published the library. It pushed to the master that designers can grab I reviewed and updated my library in my design file where
Experiencing hex color mismatch in the Figma Windows desktop app. Hex colors are not displaying accurately, impacting design work. Seeking a resolution for this issue to ensure a consistent design experience in the Windows app.
Designers are often moving elements around using Ctrl X, Ctrl V. I suggest handle it as a special case and keep existing Ids. It will help all plugin developers who rely on these ids.
This seems to be happening with the newer phone presets, and not on desktop, watch, or older phone presets. You can kind of see there is a shadow only near the top. I closed everything and rebooted computer; still the same. 116.13.3 / Mac 13.0
Hey all, seems like there are similar shadow effect issues in the prototype but I don’t see anything resolved. I have a shadow effect that works perfectly inside the design file, but in prototype present mode, it looks completely different. Some of the shadows seem fine…which adds to more confusion. Does anyone know why this is, or which visual representation is correct?? In design: In prototype present mode:
In the “Local Variables” tab, when the list of variables becomes lengthy, the “+ Create Variable” button at the bottom ends up obscuring the last variable in the list. This can be quite frustrating because there’s no way to scroll down, leaving the last variable hidden behind this button and inaccessible. How can we address this issue?
Hello everyone! I’ve been working on a Codegen plugin for my team. It takes a group of elements and exports them as a React component. Everything seems to be working perfectly, including its display within the FIGMA interface. However, when I copy the generated code and paste it elsewhere, I notice it has double the intended indentation. Instead of the expected two-space indentation, it’s coming out with four. Is there a setting or solution to address this? Thanks in advance! Marlus
Is anyone having issues using Content Reel? Every time I try to use it, it locks up the Figma Desktop app? Same behavior in the browser as well.
When I select any instance in any file the name of the instance does not appear correctly in the design panel. They are all labeled “Document”. This just happened, never came across it before, so I’m guessing this a result of the latest “update”. It makes it pretty difficult to know which instance I actually have selected and am currently working on since they’re all named the same exact thing now. I can see the true name in the layers panel, but that’s not where I’m making the changes. A quick fix for this would be greatly appreciated as naming conventions are kiiiiiind of important.
I use links to share designs quite often, however recently it has stopped working like it used to. When opening a link in mode=design it only selects the frame/component. It does NOT teleport you to it. However, if you change the links mode to mode=dev, it selects AND teleports you to it. I assume this is a bug because it used to have the same behavior for both modes. I also have open-in desktop app enabled and I haven’t tested it to see if it does the same thing opening in the browser.
I’m having issues with variables being retained in my prototypes. Variables continue self-deleting on their own. I haven’t nailed down on recreating the bug yet, but from what I’ve noticed is that when moving frames, with variables linked to components I have created, to another file, these variables get deleted when moving the frame back into the original file. I’ve looked in all my collections to confirm my concerns, and the variables are indeed missing. I have created multiple full-fledged prototypes, applied variables, and then these variables get removed mysteriously - including their associated groupings - brings concern to me and is urging me to stop creating in-depth prototypes with variables.
I am encountering a bug in Figma where some images in the preview link appear to be rotated 90 degrees when viewed on mobile browsers. Steps to Reproduce: Open the Figma preview link on a mobile browser. Observe the display of certain images. Note that some images appear to be rotated 90 degrees. Desktop and mobile preview Environment: Figma version: Figma Desktop App version 116.5.18 Mobile device used: iPhone 11 Mobile browser used: Safari (iOS 16.3)
Hello, I have got trouble with how Figma handles the CSS variable name when it ends with a number. Please, look at my screenshot. Variable “c1 500” must not be “–c-1500” Am I right ?
The scenario is really simple. I have a button component with two icons (at the sides). But the icons are hidden. If I select the button and I want to change the font color from the palette colors, it only applies to the visible content (in this case: the text). So if after changing the color, users want to make the icons visible, these icons have the old color. It would be nice to show on the color palette what colors are hidden (at least). But the best option would be change all the corresponding colors at once.
I often make a selection, and use the return key to drill down into a component to select elements – this no longer works. See video where I enable the icon, and with the component instance still selected, I hit return and the toggle is focused.
Just recently when using either the freeform scale tool with K or via the scale panel results in the item completely breaking or not honouring what values you enter. Im noticing this now when resizing component instances Seems fine when I detach the instance. This used to work just fine, but seems after a recent update instance scaling is broken?
