Hello! I’ve tried to find a related topic for this with no luck.Our team is experiencing a bug that is becoming more frequent recently and impacting our dev handover. When opening a file some elements appear to be missing until you click or engage with them and they suddenly reappear.We thought it may be that Figma needed updating or restarting but it’s quite persistent.Is anyone else experiencing this? 

Enable developer mode and check the color codes of the variables. You will notice that the colors of the code and variables do not match. 

Did the developer forget to implement a function to reorder properties in UI3, or did the designer forget to include it in the design?Does anyone know how to reorder properties? I've been stuck on this task for about 10–15 minutes. 

There’s defiantly a lag - hard to notice but it’s present. Take a look at the gif with color picker hovering over image. This happens even when sampling vector or text. You can notice this same effect just very subtle while working in a project almost like a frame rate drop but consistent.

I am using Figma plugin api  to get svg content of icons maintained by designer.exportAsync({ format: "SVG_STRING" })But sometimes I see the content of SVG changed but the appearance of icon still same. I confirmed with designer that they didn't change it. For example:

I’d like to report an issue we encountered while working with variables in Figma.When we copy and paste an image component that uses variables (e.g., mode-specific variants or data-driven display), the pasted version sometimes presents different variable information than the original. This inconsistency causes the visuals to break and makes it impossible to perform a clean, consistent demo—especially when the variables are tied to color tokens or conditional content.Steps to reproduce: Copy a component that includes variable-bound images or properties. Paste it into the same or a different file/page. Observe that the variable values (such as mode tokens, booleans, or bound text) may change or reset. This inconsistency is affecting our design workflow and stakeholder presentations. Please let us know if this is a known issue, or if there’s a recommended workaround.

Initially was having issues with just importing a component from my library. I managed to get one in (after several crashing attempts) but I now cant change any of the properties against the component. Have I done something wrong? 

Hi Figma Support Team,While offboarding from a client project as an external contractor, I attempted to download files that I had been invited to collaborate on via the organization's Figma workspace. I was closing down my workspace tabs as part of my offboarding process.I initiated the export/download process for approximately 20 open files, but the download only successfully completed for 5 files. The majority of files failed to export or were missing entirely from the download archive.Unfortunately, this technical failure placed me in a very difficult situation. This has been an ongoing issue for me for at least a year. I use the Tidy Up hotkey daily but it doesn’t work anymore suddenly. Stuff I tried but still doesn’t work: Testing on browser and desktop Figma Programming the hotkey into my logitech mouse shortcut, in case there was something wrong with my keyboard Checked my laptop’s system preferences to ensure it’s not my keyboard’s issue Tested on an external keyboard

When I copy and paste stuff the pasting places elements in the most random locations. This used to be one of the best features figma had, flawless positioning on paste. It is quite sad that this feature broke and time gets invested in those pal characters. 

Issue with Ready for Dev Tab Showing Incorrect Changes After Branch MergeHi Figma Community,I'm encountering an issue with the "Ready for Dev" tab in Dev Mode after merging a branch, and I’d like to share the problem and see if there’s a solution or workaround to achieve the desired workflow.The ProblemAfter merging a branch into the main file, the "Ready for Dev" tab correctly marks the affected section as Edited. However, when I click "Compare Changes" to review the updates, it displays incorrect comparisons: The "old" version shows the section as deleted (from before the merge). The "new" version shows the section as added, but it’s not the latest merged version—it’s the version of the section before the merge. This creates confusion for developers because the comparison doesn’t reflect the actual changes made in the merged branch. As a result, they cannot see what was edited in the merged version directly from the "Ready for Dev" tab.Current WorkaroundTo resolve this, I have to:

Constraints in my new projects don’t work properly — objects that are supposed to stick to the top behave as if I set them to center alignment. It's terribly inconvenient, especially when I change the height of a frame.Also, in one of my new projects, I can't see the spacing between objects using the Option key. I can only see the spacing relative to the main frame.Please fix this.

Hello! What should I do if a new user does not receive an invitation letter from Figma?

I use figma on an academic account. I rely heavily on the “open session” on figjam (as a replacement for Google’s jamboard), but I have been running into some issues with it. Sometimes when I send someone the link to the open session, despite it saying it will allow anyone to edit with no account required, they are only given view/comment access, and not editing access. The open session is not timed out, because it is a manner of minutes/seconds after the session is created that the link is sent, and in the time using the whiteboard (usually up to an hour) the issue does not resolve. I have been told by the recipients of the link that they get a message saying “an error has occurred”.I am unsure what exactly creates the bug or how to replicate it, as from my end it is seemingly random. I send the link to the figjam board via the chat on Google Meet, or email. The recipient clicks it and then attempts to edit the board. Hello, Our team is currently using Figma for our projects, but none of us are receiving desktop push notifications. Here’s what I have checked so far:  I am using Figma on a Mac (macOS Sequoia). All notification settings are enabled both in Figma and in my Mac system preferences. However, Figma does not appear in the list of apps under Mac’s notification settings. I have logged out and back into Figma, but the issue remains. This issue affects the entire team – no one is receiving desktop push notifications. Additionally, we are not receiving notifications on the Figma mobile app either, and we are wondering if this could be due to incorrect settings.  Due to our company’s internal situation, we cannot rely on Slack notifications. It is very important for us to receive desktop push notifications directly from Figma to stay updated on project activities. Please advise on how we can resolve this issue and if there are any specific settings we should check. Thank you.

Hi, I'm experiencing a strange behavior when working with annotations. When I copy and paste text from my notes (e.g. Notion, Apple Notes, etc.) into an annotation field, the entire text automatically appears as a hyperlink, even when there’s no actual link in the copied text.Is this the intended behavior? Or could it be a formatting bug?Any help or clarification would be appreciated. Thanks!

Since the newer FigJam updates, I have noticed a real degradation in how the basic features work. Connection lines, alignment of shapes inside of other shapes or sections, small half-unit spacing inaccuracies, etc. These used to be baked in very well prior to the update chain with more colors and more shapes, but I notice the lines getting more and more finicky as well as alignment overall being an issue. Not sure if I’m the only one experiencing this, it’s a much better platform than Miro but it’s working worse than it used to.

Hi Figma, I’m struggling with changing the order of my button variant values and would wanted to share it here in case it’s a bug or something that could be fixed! I have a lot of variants in this button and when I try to drag a value and move it up or down in the list, I can’t move it past the overflow. There’s also a glitch when I select the value to drag, it moves lower in the list so I can’t even move it back to where I grabbed it. Here’s a screenshot of the section i’m referring to. Specifically in the “edit variant property values” 

The API token generation button is not active. What's the reason?

I am not able to use scroll zoom while using external mouse wheel. Also not able to check the this option in figma>is this a bug or something like that ? in figma itself
