Hi, I’m a university student currently using Figma with my Google account (not my school email).

Previously, I successfully verified my Education Plan using my school email address — even though my Figma login email was different. At that time, Figma allowed this setup.

However, my verification recently expired. Now, when I try to reverify, it requires that the *logged-in account* itself be the school email address. Because of this change, I can’t reverify my plan, and all my existing projects and files are now locked (read-only).

Here are my details:
- Figma login email: [redacted by forum moderator to remove PII]

- I’m still an active university student.
- My projects are very important and I need access urgently.

Could you please help me reverify my Education Plan or unlock my existing files?
I can provide proof of enrollment if needed.

Hi. If you want to access the files before reverification, you can create free Starter team, move them to Drafts and temporarily continue working on them there

I checked your account, and I can confirm that it’s currently on the Starter plan. Unfortunately, I’m not able to make changes or manually reverify Education Plans on my end. 

To reapply for the Education Plan, you’ll first need to update your account email to your school-issued address. It’s now required that the email domain on your logged-in account matches your school’s domain.

Once your school email is verified, your Education Plan will be reactivated and you’ll regain full access to your files.
