I am facing an issue with split tabs. So this issue I have faced last time also and I am facing now also. When I select two different files. And right click on the tabs. Then click on the. Split tabs. It is splitting with the same file. Now for example. I have a. Project 1 file and project 2 file. I have selected project 1 and 2. And then I split it but it is splitting with project 1 and project 1. That is the issue.

I was hired as a contractor at a school, and they are using the educator plan. Now I can’t work on their current file because I don’t have an education email.  Why is Figma so damn un-useable and have obstacle after obstacle for things that should be simple? How can I work on this educator plan as a regular user WITHOUT MAKING A NEW FILE?

Dear Team,We had office holidays from October 2nd to 4th, 2025, and due to this we were unable to cancel the AI Credits in time. The cancellation was processed on October 5th, but during the holiday period AI Credits worth $120 (10,000 credits) were charged.Additionally, please note that the billing date for our Proclink Figma subscription is the 3rd of every month. We kindly request you to revise the bill on a pro‑rated basis and share the updated invoice with us.Thank you for your support.

Hello,Our team's Professional plan was automatically renewed on an annual basis on October 2, 2026. I believed the plan had already been cancelled, so this renewal was not intended.I have already submitted a support ticket (#2175327) requesting a refund, and today I also cancelled the plan through Cancel plan in the Admin settings. Since this annual renewal was unintended, I would really appreciate it if you could review a refund for this charge.Could someone from the Figma team please help check and escalate this case?Thank you very much for your time and help.

Dear Figma Support Team,I am writing regarding my Config India 2026 ticket. I do not have a last name, and I would therefore like to request a correction to the name displayed on my ticket/badge.Could you please remove the last name field from my registration? If the system requires a last name to be entered, you may alternatively enter my first name twice. Please let me know if you need any additional information from me to make this change.Thank you for your assistance.Best regards,Sonali

Hi Team,I am registered for Config India 2026 wiht my email (redacted by the moderator due to PII)There’s a typo in my last name but the field is locked and I’m unable to update it at my end. My registered name currently shows as Medha A, but my complete legal name on my government photo ID is Medha Abhyankar. I want to ensure my badge matches my ID exactly so there are no issues during check-in. Could a moderator please help me update my name on the backend? Thank you!

When applying text styles that have associated variables attached the values presented do not respect the applied mode. For instance I have a title that has a mode for Mobile (20px), and a mode for TV (40px), when i open up the style, the default mode (in this case mobile) is displayed instead of the TV mode size. I have also observed this within grid layouts when applied it shows the default mode (26 columns). When in reality it is actually 24 columns, if you then detach the style it shows the correct number. And when detached you can see it shows the correct value Seems this was a major oversight, as it makes applying size variables pretty time consuming, as I have to check if I’ve chosen the correct size by clicking and opening up the variable list. In short it seems to default to the first default mode, instead of respecting the chosen mode. It also only seems to affect styles. Anyone else found this to be an issue?

I'm seeing an issue where publishing a Make Kit removes the component exports from the package root and creates an effectively empty JavaScript bundle. This worked in earlier versions of the kit. EXPECTED BEHAVIORComponents exported from src/components/index.ts should be importable from the package root after publishing. ACTUAL BEHAVIORAfter publishing:• dist/index.js contains only:/* empty css */• dist/index.d.ts contains only:import './styles/index.css';• Imports from the package root fail because no components are exported. The generated src/index.ts contains only:// Auto-generated entrypointimport './styles/index.css'; REPRODUCTION1. Export components from src/components/index.ts.2. Add the following export to src/index.ts:export * from './components';3. Publish the Make Kit.4. Inspect src/index.ts and the generated dist files.5. The component export is no longer present, and the root JavaScript bundle contains no component code. I ALSO TRIED• Creating a separate barrel file• Editin

Importing SVG created in Adobe Illustrator 2026 to Figma doesn’t work. SVG created in Illustrator 2025, with same settings works just fine.

I was reading the SEP 30, 2026 release notes which says audio support has been released. https://www.figma.com/release-notes/?title=motion-adds-styles-audio-animations-lottieI have updated my figma desktop and still can’t seem to drag mp3 or wav into the figma timeline. I get the error Files failed to import…File format not recognized or failed to convertaudio.wav

Just searched for this issue and actually found a forum topic abt it: This was one year ago. It still is not working and the workaround is not viable for existing tables.Very sad to see this is not being considered at all apparently… Can only agree to the last poster, this is an issue that makes me not use the feature at all because I need it to work responsively.

Hi,My organisation has separate Figma accounts depending on the country. I created a Figma account with my main email, but to be able to be admin in the other team, I need an email with their domain instead. So the company created an alias with the other domain for me. In the background, they are the same, the second email is just an alias that ends up in my primary email inbox. The alias works fine, I tested to send and receive to/from different providers and it works just fine. But with Figma I receive nothing. The other team invited my alias to join their team and I never received the invitation emails (nothing in my junk folder either), I also tried to create an account directly with this email and I am stuck at the verification step because I don’t receive the verification emails from Figma. To recap, I have one Figma account with one domain that works just fine. I receive notification emails from Figma (like new comments, or changes to files access) no problem. But with my second e

Hi Figma Research team,I took part in a Figma research survey on September 18 (invited by email through RallyUXR). Incentives from previous Figma studies have usually reached me within about 3 days, but it's been 12 days and nothing has arrived. I've checked spam and promotions for any Tremendous email. The invite came from a no-reply address, so I couldn't respond to it. Figma Support told me to contact RallyUXR, but as far as I understand, Rally is just the tool Figma uses, and only the researcher who owns the study can send or resend the incentive from their workspace.Could someone from the research team check my participant status on that study and resend the redeem link if needed? I'm happy to share my invite email and the study name privately. Thanks!

Hi Figma Support,I'm experiencing an issue with publishing new components to a Figma library.I've added several new icon components to our library. They appear correctly in the Publish library window with the “Added” status. However, when I select them and click Publish, Figma shows that the publishing process has started, but it never seems to complete. There is no success message and no error message. When I reopen the Publish library window, the same components are still listed as “Added”, and they are not available as published library components.I've already tried:Publishing all components at once Publishing only one component at a time Deleting the affected components and recreating them from scratch Publishing through the library updates/publishing interface Reopening and restarting FigmaSome components from the same file were published successfully earlier, but most of the newly added components are now affected.I'm using the Figma Desktop app, not Figma in a web browser.Could y

Hello Figma Support,I need help with my Figma Education verification.I originally submitted my student verification using [email redacted by forum moderator to remove PII]. While I was waiting for the verification result, I deleted my Figma account because I needed to continue working on my assignments. After that, I created a new Figma account using the same email address.I have now received confirmation from SheerID that my student verification was successfully approved on October 2, 2026, but the verification status is not reflected on my current Figma account. My current account still asks me to verify my student status.SheerID provided me with these approval details:Name: Erkhes Gansuld Email: [redacted by forum moderator to remove PII] Verification date: October 2, 2026 Verification ID: 6abda25bfb693f2c79272f82 SheerID User ID: 1682273864621817816I understand that deleting and recreating my Figma account may have caused the verification status to no longer be associated with my cu

Sometimes when working in figma I accidentally click the AI-stars. How do I hide this popover without typing a prompt. It is in the way and I never seem to be able to get rid of it...

DescriptionWe are experiencing an issue with icons inside components when switching between states. Our use case is an icon that (example):In the default state is not filled and uses color #FFFFFF. In the selected state becomes filled and uses color #000000.When creating the component, we initially use a specific default icon, and the color and fill behavior works correctly across the variants. However, as soon as we swap/change the icon to a different icon, the selected-state properties are lost:The icon no longer becomes filled. The icon color is no longer changed to the state color. We have also tried alternative approaches, such as applying a variable that forces the icon to be filled. With this approach, the fill behavior works, but the color property is lost when changing the icon.Expected behaviorWhen swapping the icon within the component, the icon should preserve the properties defined by the component variant:State X → unfilled + color X State Y → filled + color YThese propertie

Hi Figma team,We're setting up Code Connect for our design system and the MCP preview in the Code Connect UI always shows "Can't generate MCP preview right now. Please try again later." It happens on every connected component. Our setup:- Code is hosted on a self-hosted GitLab instance (gitlab.atida.com), private repository.- Components are connected at the component set level from the Code Connect UI, using the GitLab file URL (e.g. https://gitlab.atida.com/<group>/<project>/-/blob/main/src/components/Button/Button.tsx) and the exported component name (Button).- We also published parserless Code Connect templates for the same components.- The components show as "Connected", and the design context returned through the Figma MCP server includes the connected component correctly.- We tried removing the local file-path connection and keeping only the GitLab one: same result.Questions:1. Does the Code Connect MCP preview support self-hosted GitLab repositories, or only repositor

I'm having problem to subscribe to figma plan. It keeps showing error message "Your plan was previously in CAD and must continue being paid in CAD. Make sure you provide CAD payment method". I tried multiple CAD credit cards and keep getting the same error. Figma customer support seems to be useless or doesn’t exist. Already created ticket and waiting for a week without any feedback.

Hi, I attempted to verify my Figma Education status, but the automated system rejected my documents multiple times. Now I am blocked by the "Verification Limit Exceeded" error.I have already submitted support tickets to SheerID and sent but haven't received a response yet even though I waited more than a week. Could you please help reset my verification attempts or escalate my ticket internally?

I logged a job last Wednesday #2161287 and I have still not heard back. I have now been billed for a seat that I don’t use and cannot remove.

Hi everyone,I’m an instructor using Figma/FigJam during my classes and I’m running into an ongoing permissions issue that’s becoming difficult to manage during live lectures.I have a folder containing the FigJam boards we use in class. My students need to be able to open these boards, edit them, and add sticky notes while I’m teaching.I’ve already added all of their emails through “Share this folder” with edit access. However, I’m seeing a few problems:Some students are still asked to request access even though their email is already listed on the folder. I’ll approve their request or try adding their email again, only to find that they were already added previously. Even when I make a board public for 24 hours and approve a student on the spot, some students still can’t access or edit it. This has happened repeatedly rather than being a one-time permissions issue. There’s also a related Education account problem affecting some students. A few are having difficulty getting their Figma E
