Different domains for students and teachers

Hi,

I presented a case for Figma Education, my students are all on a different domain from mine (as a teacher) and they cannot access the platform because their domain is not registered. Mine is. The presented case is #2201545, and it has already 2 weeks without answer. I need my students to access Figma in order to work in a project. Is there anything I can do better to solve this issue??

Each domain is checked on its own, so your students’ approval doesn’t follow from yours. Are your students in high school or higher education?

Students need to apply with their school-issued email address, and the domain has to belong to your school. Personal emails won’t be accepted.

Thanks. Students have applied with their school-issued email addresses, but still, because the domain is different from teachers’, Figma does not recognize them. And there is no official process for them to apply to the school license because they are students, and only teachers or responsible adults can.

I need Figma to validate that both domains belong to the same school, thus the same license, hopefully that is possible soon.

You’re right that each domain is checked on its own, so your school’s approved domain doesn’t carry over to your students’ domain automatically. I’ll make sure your request #2201545 notes that both domains belong to the same school.
