Education plan doesn't work, when I try to reverify, I get "Verification Limit Exceeded"

Hi, I verified my educational plan recently, but it doesn’t show in Figma. I’m locked out of all my projects and it tells me to reverify my education status, but when I do, it says that the verification limit is exceeded. Logging in and out didn’t help and creating new teams also didn’t. I also didn’t get any help from the SheerID support and I urgently need to work on my projects.

Hey ​@evel1n - so sorry that you’re getting locked out of your work.

I did a little bit of digging, and I think I’m seeing you did successfully get a renewal for your education plan earlier this month (mid-october).

Did you ever receive an email that let you know that this was approved? Or did you never see any confirmation of approval? 

I know you mentioned you don’t see it in Figma, but can you try using the steps on “Upgrade an existing team” per this page? https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/articles/360041061214-Figma-for-Education#teams

If this doesn’t seem to work, or you don’t see the team option to select “education” when trying to upgrade, please let me know the name of the team

Thanks for the quick answer. Unfortunately, I don’t see the option to select education. I can only choose between professional or organization, and I get charged for the whole price. The name of the team is “evelin.nosova’s team”

Got it - thank you for confirming. As a moderator, I don’t have the power to review education applications. Education verifications are handled directly by SheerID, as they manage the review process and have access to the required verification tools.

With this in mind, I acknowledge you’ve been having trouble getting in touch with them -- my recommendation would be to reach out to our education team directly at education@figma.com with the details you had provided when originally submitting the form. I can’t guarantee what options will be available, but I can escalate that with them to assist.

Can you send that email over to them, and let me know when you’ve done so? I’ll surface it up to them.
