You know this feature to let AI replace the content when duplicating a frame several times? Good stuff! But is there a way to prevent the AI from trying to replace certain text layers?

Figma is automatically adding in the Apple UI Kit, even though this library is NOT attached to the original file I’m making a copy of.  ORIGINAL FILE DOESN’T HAVE THE LIBRARY COPY HAS THE LIBRARY ADDED It even adds it automatically to NEW files too? How can you stop this madness? There isn’t an option under the UI Kits to add/remove or stop this?

When I used to copy-paste links to our (publicly available) ticketing system onto the FigJam board, it showed them as cards with headers, so I could easily cluster them on the board and find them via text search.But now it doesn’t seem to work anymore, all links just show up as links.On the screenshot below you see links added previously show up as cards, and newly added links showing up as just links.Did something change in FigJam, or is it somehow related to our ticketing system? 

I've seen some posts about this problems but no good solutions that work for me, so I repost this from other user again. I just reused his topic and video, please help if anyone knows the solution for mac ios, I am working on this issue for some days as a new designer.

 I think it’s from somewhere of view settings of Figma since these purple rectangles didn't show up when i firstly made the whole design. it’s can’t be moved by hands either… and only this file has this issue

Hi everyone,I'm facing an issue in the Figma desktop app where the fill color is not applying to shapes when they are placed inside a frame. I’ve tried selecting multiple colors and different shapes, but the fill just doesn’t show up within the frame.When I draw the same shape outside the frame, the color applies correctly. But as soon as I move it inside a frame, the color disappears or won’t apply at all.Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a setting I might be missing in the frame or something else that could be causing this?Appreciate any help—thanks in advance!

After I created a website in Figma Make, I downloaded the code into a zip file. However, all of the images missed.I looked into the code and find the images are in the following format: “figma:asset/<id>.png";However, the assets folder is not in the downloaded zip.Where can I find the assets? Is there a possible solution?

Just this week I’m having issues copy/pasting prototype noodles. It only works sometimes, but most of time it copy/pastes the entire frame and ignores the prototype noodle completely. Please help.

I just wanna ask if where can I access the variable. It says here Draw but I never converted my files to FigJam it just automatically turned like this.  

We built our icon system using 2 sets of component groups. One group that we use for the source artwork, which includes 2 sizes and filled/unfilled variants. The second group is used to resize the icon. The source icons have their color set to our default color style for icons which is called ‘icon-primary.’ Most of the icons can have their color overridden by designers (often to icon-secondary) but recently, some of the icons just can’t have their color changed. It seems totally random. Most are fine. We’ve dug into this and there is no difference between layer naming, flattening, constraints, autolayout, etc. between icons that work and icons that don’t. When an icon is detached, it can be recolored. Help!

This might be a unique problem but worth the shot: Context:We use figma to create in-product marketing materials. We’ve set up templates to create full sets of materials with the same creative. It doesn’t really make sense to make a library, so we have a Template file with a full set of assets, and components we can easily update. The team then just copies the whole template set (master components and everything) and pastes it in the file they’re working on. As a side note: Yes, we’re exploring moving this process to Buzz but so far we find the features too limited (it’s not really component friendly for example, you have to update instances manually instead of allowing it to happen on the panel where you update everything else). Problem:Sometimes we have to paste the component multiple times in the same file (in new pages for a new promotion for example). Hey all! Super new here. I have seen others in my industry use Figma to create table layouts for restaurants. I am leafing through videos and documents but still haven't been able to land on my answer. I would love to either build tables or use some open source icons to build a table layout. Does anyone have any suggestions on where I could go to find these tables that can be modified and resized or perhaps it would be better to create my own. Just need some foundational ideas and I can run with the rest. Thanks in advance. 

Previously, it was possible to copy the image used in the Fill property of one frame and paste it into another frame’s Fill. However, this functionality seems broken or removed in recent updates.This was especially useful for quickly reusing image fills across components. Currently, I have to export and re-import images, which significantly slows down workflow.Please restore or support this functionality again.

Most of these components contain nested components with their own properties.For example, our button component (in all its states) contains a nested component called Button size, where we have defined three sizes (S/M/L) and created properties to change the text value, remove icons, and swap them.Everything worked perfectly: we linked the library (File A) to File B, where we design our interfaces. Hello,It’s been a while since I’ve had to build a component, so please forgive me if its a daft question.When creating variants, in a the properties panel of aninstance you can flip between variants/boolean.However, using variables, that doesn’t seem possible.I’m creating a dropdown menu, and trying to expose all the properties for easy editing.I don’t see a way to include the variable setting.Suggestions?

Hello! Wondering if anyone can steer me in the right direction. I’ve been using Google Sheets Sync in figma for over a year now, suddenly is stopped working and is giving me the message “There was an error fetching. Try again later” I didn’t change anything since the last time I used it, i’ve tried restricting the google sheet and re-opening it up.  I use this to create labels for my orders and it’s extremely helpful. Thank you.

Hi, I’m trying to change e-mail that I am using for my figma account to the one from which I am writing but even after following the steps several times I keep getting below error and I am stuck with the old e-mail. Any support anyone? :(  

Option + Command + A is the only shortcut that doesn’t work on my Macbook Pro 2024 (Sequoia). Clicking on the button on the right-hand side panel works.  All other shortcuts involved the Option + Command + [any key] works though. 

When sharing a Figma file with view-only access, the code panel is no longer visible to viewers. Additionally, I am facing a 10–20 second lag while working, which is slowing down the workflow. Both issues are making coordination much harder than before.​@Gayani_S  ​@Tom Reem – requesting your attention on this.
