Hello,

I have a file with a lot of images and some of them show up normally, but there is a big part of them which I can’t visualize anymore. They are just empty frames which I can select, but the content can not be seen. It looks like a lot of just not loaded filled frames. Why is it and how can I solve it, get back the pictures.

I’m experiencing the same issue. It’s disrupting my work massively and I’m terrified I’ve lost all those images as I don’t have another way to recover them

Hey everyone, thanks for flagging this!

This might be an image loading issue. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can take:

  1. Try these initial fixes:

    • Close and reopen the affected file
    • Close any other open Figma files
    • Check your internet speed and connection
    • If using the desktop app: right-click on the file's tab and select "Reload Tab"
    • If using Figma in browser: quit and relaunch your browser
  2. This could also be related to how Figma handles image resolution:

    • Figma stores both high-resolution and low-resolution versions of images
    • High-resolution images only load in your current viewport
    • Images outside your view may appear blurry initially
    • The system will load high-resolution versions as you explore the file

If these steps don't resolve the issue, you can also:
Review the file's version history to check if the images are present in earlier versions
- Check if any browser extensions (like ad blockers) are interfering with image loading

Let me know if you need any clarification on these steps or if the issue persists after trying them.
