Hello! Will the free plans for students and teachers include AI tools in Figma Design? Unfortunately, it hasn't appeared for me yet.Thank you!
Figma team, please, I want access to Figma AI.
Hi everyone,I’m currently exploring data visualization and would love to hear about the best tools and techniques for creating effective visualizations.A few things I’m curious about: What are your favorite tools for data visualization? (e.g., D3.js, Tableau, Power BI, etc.) How do you ensure clarity and engagement in your visualizations? What are some tips for optimizing performance and handling large datasets? If you’ve worked on any interesting data visualization projects or have recommendations for best practices, please share!Looking forward to learning from your experiences!
I installed Microsoft Yahei.ttf and Microsoft Yahei Bold.ttf on my computer. They work fine in Word, but in Figma only Regular shows up, not Bold. Does anyone know why?
Hi,I have an existing project with five slides that I think can look much better than it does. I had another designer create my slides using the fake 3D rotation technique (my choice). They look fine but I think they can look much better! Is there anyone willing to help me out with adding some quick edits to make them look better? I will give you a shout out on my clients website as the designer of the slides and give you all of the future design work that is related to Figma if you can help me to make this particular project a winner. I have 4 more 3D slides (single slide per project) and two other new website projects that need some intro animation starting up in two weeks time. That’s 6 new Figma related projects you can do for me, paid of course.
Issue:When using the "While Hovering" interaction on a component, the hover state can become stuck — meaning it remains active even after the cursor leaves the element. This is especially noticeable when hovering over multiple instances of the same component in a prototype. The hover state lingers on all previously hovered items instead of resetting properly. Steps to Reproduce: Create a component with default and hover variants. Add a “While Hovering → Change to hover” interaction. Place multiple instances of the component in a layout. Preview the prototype. Hover over several instances one after another. Previous components stay in their hover state, even after the cursor leaves. Expected Behavior:Only the element currently being hovered should show its hover state. Others should reset to default. Actual Behavior:Multiple elements end up stuck in their hover state, even though the cursor is no longer hovering them. Additional Notes:This issue was first reported over 4 yea
The built in UI-Kits don’t seem to allow for switching appearance modes anymore. when ever I try to switch to dark mode nothing happens. my personal libraries still work.
I’m a Figma Admin and was given ownership of a file but I’m unable to change access (view, edit, owner) to someone else? I keep getting a message saying “You don’t have permission to do that. Contact Your Team Administrator.” What can I do? I have a full seat and my edit access says “All” to both projects and files.
I have a user which cant share Figma Make Boards.Another user can, both have same license. The user who cant share gets following msg while click on share button. If the user request this .. i get a request for full seat in figma. What is wrong here, because the second user also have collab seat and can share.
There is a problem with rendering gradients. Everything looks great in the preview, but in the workspace there are terrible artifacts. the problem also concerns effects and blend mode. redmibook pro 15Есть проблема с рендерингом градиентов. В превью все выглядит великолепно, но в рабочем пространстве - ужасные артефакты. проблема также касается эффектов и режима наложения. redmibook pro 15
Hi Figma Team, I opened the ticket below on 14 Aug 2025, but still not assigned to anyone and no one is responding on ticket. https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/requests/1472069I'm writing to you regarding my Figma Professional account. On August 14, 2025, while I was in the process of adjusting our seat count (reducing Full seats from 3 to 2 and removing the Developer seat from 1 to 0), the account was unexpectedly upgraded to the Organization plan. This upgrade was unintentional, and an unanticipated charge was made to my credit card while settling a pending invoice. As we only require two Full seats, the Organization plan is not feasible for us. I kindly request that the account be downgraded back to the Professional plan and that the excess amount charged be refunded. I have already submitted a ticket regarding this issue. https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/requests/1472069 I appreciate your assistance and support.
I just discovered that almost 50% of my files are publicly accessible. I’m wondering if new Figma/Figjam files are public by default??? 😳Is there a way to make sure all new files are only available to the “Team” and not to "Anyone"? Is there a way to edit the sharing for all files in a team or project?
This documentation is not clear on what exact steps are needed for setting up Code Connect using Storybook. What I didn’t quite understand is - is it necessary to have Code Connect files to be created even if we already have Storybook stories? Is there no way, we can leverage Storybook files instead of creating another set of figma connect files which adds maintenance burden.
Hello,Figma exports some PDF without a lot of elemets, They all are nested in the frame. They all visible in the preview in the windows browser but not visible in the PDF doc. In all PDF viewer/reader. I did all - exported one by one, cleaned cache, restarted PC, but it still not visible. UPD -- FOUND workaround! Ony one color elements were not visible. I slightly changed it and it worked)))
I am unable to find a solution to exporting the image so that it appears the same way as it does in Figma. If anyone knows why this is happening and how to solve the problem I would really appreciate the help. Screenshot: Exported Image Does Not Appear The Same As In Figma It may be worth noting… The original image (a png) had a small border around the black center part creating a kind of frame with a color I did not want (it was part of the image). I created a frame named “Crop” and used the “Clip Content” feature to remove it. The frame named “Dollar Sign” provides a different background color (949494) thus creating a kind of border or frame around the black center part that has the color I do want. The Image is nested inside the Crop frame and the Crop frame is nested inside the Dollar Sign frame. There is a property called “luminosity” being applied. Because of its purpose this was never meant to be very involved and the approach taken to achieving the outcome is pretty unimportan
Figma facilitates problem-solving in collaborative design workflows by providing a real-time, cloud-based platform where teams can co-create, review, and iterate on designs simultaneously. Its intuitive interface, combined with shared components, version history, and commenting features, allows designers to identify issues, suggest improvements, and resolve conflicts efficiently. By enabling seamless communication, transparent feedback loops, and easy prototyping, Figma empowers teams to tackle complex design challenges collaboratively, ensuring consistency, speed, and high-quality outcomes across projects.
I have a sticky navigation component inside a frame that calls a menu overlay that is outside the frame. That works fine. The problem is that when I try to link menu items to nested frames within my main frame, the nested frames are not available to link to (in this case I want the behavior to be Scroll to). I have tried so many different ways to wire this up but it just doesn’t work. Should be simple.
Client: “I need a form with 1000 inputs, and 550 of them are dropdowns with different values.”As a designer, you first make one dropdown component with Default, Hover, Active, and Selected states… but then end up creating endless components just to show different values.Super time-consuming, right? We’ve all been there—Figma community, please tell me I’m not alone!I’ve already tried using variable properties for different dropdown items. But here’s the issue: when we copy the dropdown and try to change its values (by opening it in the prototype), it doesn’t work once we close the dropdown again.
As per title.See screencapture as proof. There is no ‘vertical trim’ anywhere in your ‘typography’ section. As there is no search function anywhere on any of this organisation’s platforms and indexing over search is poor at best, it is almost impossible to find any detail covering anything more granular than terms like ‘design’ or ‘figjam’, whatever that is.So where is it.
Every time i try to publish the library i get this same error and then i cannot publish the new added components.
When exporting nodes with exportAsync({ format: 'SVG' }), the REST API sometimes generates <g filter="url(#id)"> references pointing to a <filter> element that has no primitives. According to the SVG spec, applying such a filter causes the group to render nothing. This means that shapes with simple fills/strokes (e.g. Polygon, Line, Vector) can appear correctly in Figma, but the exported SVG appears empty in strict renderers. Steps to reproduce: Create a polygon, vector or line. Add a drop shadow effect. Export via plugin using node.exportAsync({ format: 'SVG' }). Inspect the SVG: the node is wrapped in <g filter="url(#filter0)"> but <filter id="filter0"> has no child primitives. Open the SVG in browser → shape is invisible. Expected result:If an effect cannot be represented in SVG, the exporter should omit the filter attribute (or insert a trivial <feMerge><feMergeNode in="SourceGraphic"/></feMerge> so the geometry is preserved).Actual
I want to use the plug in html.to.design (or another method) to convert things that I have created in Figma Make to Figma Design. When I publish the site, I get a url. When I surf to sub pages (links within my prototype) the url does not change so I can only get the first page ‘converted’. Is there a way that I can see individual URLs of sub pages?
I have a number of main components which I’ve set to ‘Fill width’ - however, when I drop an instance of this component into a frame, it goes in as ‘Fixed width’, aligned to the actual width the main component. For example, Main componentContaining frame is 1000px, button is set to fill, so the button is 1000px (responsive). InstanceContaining frame is 500px, button instance is added and goes in as fixed width 1000px - I have to manually set it to fill in order for it to fill the 500px frame. Expected behaviourMain component = Fixed width ∴ Instance = Fixed width Main component = Fill width ∴ Instance = Fill width Main component = Hug ∴ Instance = Hug Have seen a few people raise this so it would be nice for it to be resolved.
Hello! I am exporting Illustrator files as svgs (90x90 px with 5 point stroke weight). When I import these into Figma, they always import a lot smaller (9x9 px and 0.5 point stroke weight) therefore having to resize each every time. Any ideas why my svgs are always coming in at the wrong size in Figma compared to the svgs exported from Illustrator? Many thanks!James
