I have this button. I want to have a hover effect where a blue color slides in from the right.I can make it with a mask in the background, but then it does not follow the with of the button if eg the copy becomes longer. - so I have to manually edit the size of the hover effect. Anyone got a great solution  

Figma now pastes vector code as a raster image.This is not an Illustrator issue. I’ve checked all the clipboard settings. Seems to be Figma. 

I'm having trouble transferring my Figma design to the web.The font sizes in Figma are significantly larger than the actual size. To make a realistic design, I have to use very small font sizes in Figma (for example, using 14px for text, when clearly no less than 16px should be used for body text on a website).Does anyone know what's going on?

Todo funciona correctamente cuando el usuario selecciona una opción y navega a la siguiente pantalla. Sin embargo, al usar el botón de “Regresar”, los componentes no se restablecen a su estado inicial, sino que permanecen en la última interacción.Lo que ya he intentado: Asegurarme de que la casilla “Reset component state” esté marcada en la interacción del botón “Regresar”. Reconstruir los componentes interactivos desde cero. Probar el flujo en un archivo limpio de Figma solo con esos componentes. Revisar si hay interacciones en conflicto dentro del marco. El problema persiste y rompe la experiencia de usuario

The Figma Make chat has gotten so long that I can't do anything anymore. It's running very slowly. No prompts are being entered, and the "thinking" message keeps popping up. How do I open a new chat? When I start a new Make project, I see it running very fast. Why do old projects get stuck?

Hello,im currently working on an Android App Design for which i’m using Google Material 3 Design Kit. Many interactive components have state layers. How do i change the state layer when it comes to prototyping?  I can only change to a different variant of the same component, but can’t change the state layer. I’m kinda clueless and appreciate any help. these are the component settingsprototype interactions 

If I share a board directly from my Drafts, collaborators trigger “request to edit/join” prompts. If I move the file into a team/project or make it public there first, does that change how those requests are handled? My main goal is to avoid lots of edit/seat requests from free users when they’re working on a shared Draft—any tips or best practices?

Hi there, I've discovered that having consistent icons for different projects is a time-consuming process, especially when you need several styles of UI, web, and app design. Recently, I explored a site called Iconiex, which is packed with lots of icons in different formats like SVG, PNG, Lottie, and icon fonts.What I liked about it:Smoothly integrates with Figma, where you can simply copy-paste icons into your projects.Features varied styles such as Solid, Stroke, Duotone, and Bulk.Includes a free plan that comes with thousands of icons, along with Pro plans for bigger teams. It was useful for keeping everything consistent and accelerating the design process. I'm wondering—how do others work with icon libraries in Figma? Do you use plugins, build your own collections, or use external libraries?

There’s a font called “System font” within Figma.I can’t seem to find it anywhere.Does any of you know the company who created it.Is it available anywhere else ? 

I just published a figma make design to share with a client and the ui broke - all the styling is gone and I cant share it in the state it’s in. Has anyone else experienced this?

I’ve been using Figma Make for a while and almost crossed 650+ versions. Now, whenever I input a prompt, the prompt is working on the file, but version history is not showing. “Reasoning” is the status which is visible, nothing other than that. Now I can’t do a undo to my previous versions. 

How to hug row’s height or hug frame’s height in Grid? I see it is possible to make it hug as default, but I can’t find it nowhere. 

Today I noticed that when I try to apply variable modes to page / artboard / layer using Figma on web they won’t apply. I select the option and nothing happens. I use this feature frequently, and it’s working in the desktop app, so it seems like this is a new problem. Anyone else experiencing?

The client has shared a file with me and given me “can edit” rights, but I cant edit. I am getting this error “An Admin needs to update your seat so you can edit file”. Any ideas? Thanks  

Hi everyone,I’ve been trying to turn my Figma prototypes into short demo videos for clients. Exporting screens works fine, but stitching them into something smooth takes a lot of extra effort.Has anyone here found a good way (plugin or workflow) to export Figma designs and then polish them into a video?For now, I’ve been experimenting with CapCut to edit the exported screens into a presentable format, but I’d love to know if there are more seamless options directly inside Figma.Any suggestions?

Hello everybody, I created an app in Make and saved .zip file. When I opened it I found that there is not package.json etc. so to run it locally I need to create a new project and so on. Can some body can explain to me the reason why Figma does not provide the complete code for convenient use?

FigJam toolbar in Safari: can't select ConnectorsWhen I select the “Shapes and Connectors” button in the toolbar in FigJam in Safari, the second toolbar appears, but I cannot select any of the Connectors. All other items are selectable.  I discovered that on the main toolbar I can choose the Square, Ellipse, and Connector directly. But if I use this method to attempt to use a Connector, when the second toolbar appears, I cannot choose a different type of Connector.  This is:Safari Version 18.6 (20621.3.11.11.3) macOS 15.6 (24G84) Closed and reopened Safari.Tried it in a Private Window.Works in Chrome... 

Currently, I have 7 full sheets as research on my professional plan, and it will be renewed on the 27th of this month. I want to renew only 5 full sheets when I renew because I need fewer sheets. How can I change it?

The keyboard arrow keys were previously a helpful way to fine-tune the guide’s position. This no longer works, as pressing the arrow keys now causes the entire canvas to move up or down when the guide is selected. Is there a way to restore the previous behavior?

What is the new feature about?

I’ve been working on a prototype for a week and started experiencing multiple bugs yesterday (Aug 19) while using the prototype. One page will not scroll. I have the page overflow settings set to scroll vertical, and i have overflow content in the page frame, but it will no longer scroll, no matter what I do. On this same page, when I open the prototype, it doesn’t show one of the headings on the page that exists in the design file. There are no interactions on the heading, it’s just text. I can make other changes on the page and they are reflected in the prototype, but nothing I do to this heading will make it appear On other pages in the prototype, I use variants of the same component. When I launch the prototype and navigate to one of the pages with this component, and then navigate to a second page with the component, it will only show me the component from the first page. I have to reset the prototype every time I want to see the component variant that is actually on the page I’m

I have a file that I published with components and variants that I’d like to use for multiple projects. When I include the library in another file all of the components appear, but when I change the variant (ie changing from ‘default’ to ‘hover’ state) the styling isn’t correct. How can I fix this?

Not in the sense of components, but rather full screen frames that can be published, so designers on my team can easily import them into their files and make the necessary modifications.
