I’m having an issue with my Figma setup and I’m hoping someone can help. My account seems to be stuck in a Team-only workspace, and I don’t have access to a Personal Workspace at all. Because of this, all my files, including Drafts, are inside a Team space, which means I keep getting upgrade prompts when I try to use plugins or certain features.
I bought a Collab seat first because I was already seeing these upgrade warnings, and I thought that upgrading would solve the problem. But it didn’t, the warnings still appear, and all my files still behave as if they’re inside a paid team environment. I also created a second Figma account using the “personal use only” option, but the same thing happened: it automatically created a team with no personal space.
At the moment:
I only see one space under “Your Spaces” and it’s my team;
There is no way to switch to Personal Workspace;
I can’t create a new personal space;
I can’t leave the team (I’m the only admin);
Plugins keep asking me to upgrade even inside Drafts;
I can’t share the link to my designs.
It really feels like my account is missing the normal free personal workspace setup.
Has anyone experienced something like this? Or does anyone know how to force-create a personal space or remove the team-only configuration?
