Hello ​@Celine_Figma Thanks for the clarifications. Much appreciated.I have a question. I manually uploaded an image to a Figma file. After selecting the uploaded image, I noticed that clicking on the image name(image.png in this case) in the right panel of the Figma UI (refer to the attached screenshot) opens the image in a new tab.The URL of this image (opened in the new tab) is accessible without requiring login. Does this mean that images uploaded to Figma are publicly accessible? Or, Am I missing anything here?   

I’m trying to assign a variable to a component instance so that I can switch instances when clicking. I’m trying to learn how to use variables to create a less intensive way to setup prototypes that have a lot of ‘buttons’ that switch between content. With the screenshot I’ll share, I have it manually rigged up so clicking the pill button on the left panel changes it’s state to selected, makes the clicked pill become selected, and changes the content panel on the right with the related text.I looked over a few videos and I feel like I could could be done similarly to what’s done in this video, where clicking the color box changes the selected alien character. Just replacing the color box with my pill buttons and the alien with my text. But I’m having trouble seeing how to easily assign the variable to my selection.How might I be able to do this without manually rigging up a ton of prototype connections?

Howdy, I’ve been running into an issue/bug where components that have variant properties which are bound to a variable with multiple modes are not rendering correctly on load or after edits. This seems to happen most often with instances of components that have multiple levels of nested components. It’s a pretty specific use case, but I happen to run into it frequently. You can see this here. Upon opening the design file, often the instance nested components fail to render properly. (in this example, the numbers in the colored boxes in the instance section often do not appear until you select them). Also, if you change the color of the text in the “content” component, it fails to update correctly in all of the instances below. I can’t update it.I have a problem where the text in the component and its instances doesn’t update when I change the font weight in the text styles.styles does not update to reflect changes made to the component. Steps: - I created a button component, and the text in the button uses text styles- The font in the text styles is linked to a variable Issue:When I change the font weight in the text styles, the button text in both the component and its instances doesn’t update.Note: this issue only happen when the font is linked to a variable. Figma file here

I am waiting for the features for a few months now also get the Figma AI features (even created multiple accounts increase the chance to get access).  Is there something or a website to sign up for some kind of beta beta version of Figma AI. Hi,I'm having an issue with publishing some updates in Figma. When I try to publish the library updates, I get an error for 38 changes (text-related), and it doesn't update them.I'm also running into a problem with instances. I changed the content colours using local variables, and it updated the design system file. But when I publish the changes, the instances still follow the old colours. For example, the table cell component and all the table instances are still showing the old design, not the updated one.Thanks in advance

I want to allow a few members of my design team to add components to a file but restrict them from publishing it. I’d like to keep publishing control limited to specific team members. Is this currently possible in Figma?

Hello. i am from Bangladesh currently a student in Computer Science and today I got an email about educational plan in Figma  and while completing the form my university doesn’t appear in higher education dropdown. I am currently making a project for my university and I need the prototype interaction for my project but as a free user i can’t do that. Can i add my university ?

I'm working on a website design in Figma and have a full-screen image placed below a navigation bar. When I resize the window, the image scales correctly but gets cut off at the bottom, as if there's an invisible limit. I've already made the page longer, but the issue persists. How can I fix this so the full image is always visible when scaling?Would appreciate any help!Gif ExampleIn the following example you can see that when I drag the window to the right to enlarge the window, the image doesn't scale with it on the bottom, almost like there is an invisable limit like stated above.

Hey everyone,  I’m making a Facebook Group banner for a client. After using the Facebook banner frame, when I upload the banner it still appears blurry. I’ve tried exporting it as .png and .jpg, at 1x-4x, and changing the size of the frame while keeping the same aspect ratio (16:9).From the research I’ve done, the reason this is happening is because the aspect ratio or size of the actual exported image is incorrect.Has anybody been able to export a Facebook banner and get it to not appear blurry? Or will I have to use a different platform. (Example of what the banner looks like. It could be worse, but it’s still unprofessional and I’d like it to be fixed.)Thanks!

Hi, After creating a button component and clicking on the text field to add the text property (under the text parameters), when I get to the main component, the variant doesn’t appear. When I and add a variant of the button, Figma doesn’t care about my text property, it reacts as if there is no “current variant”. After investigating many forums about this problem, the “variant” of the text property does not display when it is supposed to. I have tried so many things to get this right, starting from scratch, updating Figma…, etc. I hope you can help!

Hi everyone,My team has an Organisation account and we have 1 library file which we use to get all components. What is the best way to update components when 15 designers are working on it?I need a plan how to review, approve and update components without branching. Example: I have a card component, I assign 3 designers to work on a modification to it.They copy the component into their own file, detach it, make modification and send it back to me. I review all 3 and I select 1 version. Now, I go to main componet and need to make changes manually? There must be a better way?  All ideas are welcome!

Hi, As an animator it’s so frustrating seeing the lack of functionality for Lottie files compared to other packages like Flutter Flow. Animating in Figma is fine for most, but not for an animator, creating animation-heavy apps. I need After Effects Animation for character animations and other complex animations. I need Lottie files to play animations in Figma just once on splash screens etc. Seems so basic for a massive app like Figma… Please let us know if this is being looked at, otherwise, we will have to stop using Figma for creating apps. I have a design system that uses 2 modes, and have recently added 7 more modes. They show properly in the Variables panel (now split between two Collections), but when I go to select them in the Variable Modes dropdown, I only see the initial 2. Do modes only register the first created Collection? I have two Figma accounts - a company account and a personal account. On the company account, the keyboard shortcuts for zoom are:1 for Zoom to fit2 for Zoom to selectionCOMPANY ACCOUNTOn the personal account, the keyboard shortcuts for zoom are:Shfit + 1 for Zoom to fitShift + 2 for Zoom to selectionPERSONAL ACCOUNTThis is driving me crazy as I’m always hitting the wrong shortcut in the wrong account. I’m moving from Adobe XD over to Figma, and I find working with images rather awkward. I’m currently trying to scale an image up. I set the image treatment to “crop”, but when I attempt to scale the control points, nothing happens. I’m wondering if this is a bug? Any help would be much appreciated.

I’ve created many web designs in Figma recently but suddenly in this sheet any text I paste (from my typical Apple Text Edit) is appearing as grey, ditto with the once white bullets because when I create a new bullet by hitting return on the sentence above it’s also grey? How do I set the default text to white? Thanks

i used to be able to just drag and drop a new design on top of the main component and it would change all instances, but now when i try to drag and drop a new design into the main component it just places it over top of the old design. its starting to frustrate me because i think i’ve tried everything… thanks in advance
