I have polished an existing design using Figma make and I have done only 3 iterations. However when I try to copy it and bring it to Figma to do some customizations it just keeps saying its copying as design layers, for about 20 minutes. Is there a way to resolve this?

How do you sync the changes being done in one copy of the screen to other copies on different pages? I tried making the component out of screen but then it loses it’s floating name on the top left.

So, variables are one of the most important functionalities in Figma, but the plugin API doesn’t help developers when it comes to variables, basically, there is no way for an open plugin to know when a user create, remove, reorder, or edit a variable or variable collection. Even though, this is possible with styles, which are less important and common than variables.If the document change event doesn’t include variable changes, then how an open plugin is supposed to get this information?Why variable changes haven’t been added to the document change event until now?@James_Yang I mentioned you as I always find you answers insightful​     

Good day, Figma team,I have been a user of Figma in my classroom for several years and have appreciated the Education plan for myself and to be able to grant access to students.At the beginning of the semester, I was advised to re-verify my education plan. I was successful at doing so. While we experienced some challenges with verification on the student side, most students have successfully verified. Unfortunately, some students remain stuck in the SheerID support loop.Most recently, students are receiving expiration notices even after successfully verifying their account via SheerID. Additionally, they are being advised to purchase the plan for $20/month, which is not equitable for our student population.While searching my account, I confirmed that my education verification status remains and I am now being presented with invoice information.To date, I have reached out to Figma via chat for an account review, emailed education@figma.com, and now posting to the forum.Is there anything

When using the regular workspace in Figma, I have access to plugins.   Like the QT export plugin. I created a UI using the AI Make tool but the plugins are not avilable in that workspace.   How can I move the UI Created in Make to the regular workspace so I have access to the plugin?   Is taking a screen shot of it and opening it in regular Figma the best option? Thank you.  New to Figma here.  

I have tried to subscribe professional plan with paying monthly, but the system doesn’t allow to select CAD, since I am from Canada. After completing the credit card info. I got a message “ Your plan was previously playing to USD, and therefore must conitnue to pay in USD. Please confirm your payment information works for USD.”Could you please reset it for me? Thanks. 

One approach is to divide responsibilities clearly and use automated testing as much as possible. In our case, midway through the project we reviewed how larger teams work, especially those from a blockchain development company USA perspective, and we adapted some of their processes. Simple things like mandatory peer review, using CI pipelines, and keeping clear documentation made a huge difference even for a small team.

I have a frame like this: Custom Headline has a boolean property to toggle it on/off. Headline has a boolean variable set at appearance. Problem statement: I want to turn the Headline off when Custom Headline property is turned on. This is not a prototype, so I am only changing the state through toggles.Can I apply conditionals to properties.

Me and multiple other teammates are not receiving emails on our enterprise emails.We took the issue to our support teams to see if there was a whitelist / blacklist and whether the emails were being prevented from reaching us internally, and they are not.We have checked our folders, spam, etc. I have seen other reports from other users on this forum about not receiving emails, but no public solution listed.The lack of emails reaching our inboxes prevents us from creating and using Figma with a work account via our work emails.

I design on a Chromebook and I’m unable to use the Figma font helper. I really want to use the Google Sans Flex font which was recently released, alongside other new fonts like Stack Sans, and the TASA typeface collection. I don’t have access to a regular computer to use them. The Inter font is also outdated and it doesn't have the option to adjust optical size.

I have sent an email to education@figma.com for support, but haven't heard back. I've provided my student ID, transcript, and tuition statements for student verification but it still says I'm missing documents that any one of my three supported documents can provide. I will need a human to verify my account please

When defining inline links in text in Figma Sites, the link is able to be set and is rendered correctly in the editor.Showing the inline link settingsHowever, after publishing, the link is fully ignored on the live site, as shown in the DOM inspect screenshot shown below. Other content changes to the site are reflected correctly, showing that there’s not TTL issue at play.DOM inspect of the published site 

When attempting to use the MCP server to retrieve design tokens, get_variable_defs seems to return the final resolved value and not the alias in some cases. I want to confirm that's intended behavior.We were hoping to be able to rely on the MCP server to help generate components without having to pay a 3rd party like Locofy or Tokens Studio, but if we don't get aliases we can't handle mapping semantic tokens to primitive tokens to centrally manage them. We will likely have to look into export-based approaches or perhaps the API.Can you confirm or deny...and also do you have any notes on best practices for doing something like this?

Hello Figma Support,I'm having trouble with locally installed fonts not showing up in Figma, even though I have the Figma Agent installed.The issue is only on my computer. My teammates working on the same project have no problems with their local fonts.I've already tried:Checking the Figma Agent status.Updating my browser.Restarting my PC.None of this has worked.Important detail: I recently bought a new laptop, and I'm experiencing the exact same problem on the new machine as well.Could you please help me fix this?

I have a list on the left of the screen and the details of the selected item on the right. User can click the accept risk button to change the state (from new to accepted) I am trying to get the icon in the list to change depending on if the user accepts the risk or not. To do this, I am trying to use the boolean variables in Figma. I have these two boolean variables: I have created a custom icon so that the variant props match this (I don’t know if that matters, I actually tried it both ways and neither time did it work) I tied the icon component to the boolean variable  Now when the user clicks the accept button, I have it open a dialog and then the confirmation button has setting the accepted boolean variable to true. My best guess is that this is where I’ve gone wrong somehow? Anyway, I put it all together and the left side list icon still doesn’t change after you click the button. What is wrong? Should I be using variable modes? Can Figma even support a prototype like this?

 The slide deck continually says to open in recovery mode, but each time it tries it just says the same thing. I’ve tried it in the app and on several different computers. Example: https://fontawesome.com/icons/magnifying-glass?f=classic&s=regular I have an issue with font awesome rendering in Figma. When I copy the icon glyph itself on URL above (on the upper right in the modal) and paste it into figma, font awesome renders it as icon. If I copy the icon name “magnifying-glass” as text and apply font awesome to it, it doesn’t work half the time and renderds as plain text. Anyone knows what is causing this? It’s a problem since devs can’t see the icon’s name when inspecting if I copy paste the icon itself. 

Hello,For the past three years, I have been using Figma with an Education account. I am continuing my studies for two more years, so I recently applied again for the Education plan. However, when I try to submit the application, the form refuses my student CEVc code, even though it is valid.Could you please help me resolve this issue so I can access the Education plan again?Thank you in advance for your assistance.

I’m using Untitled UI to create some of my screens. I dragged and dropped components from its 2 main files (variables and examples). The problem is that now, I have components that “inherit” values from 2 different palettes. The main issue with this is that when I try to switch a whole screen from “Dark mode” to “Light mode”, some components won’t switch, as they inherit values from the other file. How can I solve this? Thanks!!! :)  

Hope someone can clarify as i’m struggling to get an answer.An external designer has created an icon font for us. I have uploaded this to the resources section which enables me to use and edit the font in a design file (without having it installed in my Mac font book)However another external designer “Guest” who has a full design seat, gets an notification when they open the file with this typeface to swap it to one installed on their system.I then checked with an internal designer (non guest) and they can see and edit the typeface without it being in their font book too.Can anyone clarify who is able to use the typeface? its seems a little pointless adding to resources if some designers still have to have have it installed, doesn't feel logical.Is it only guests that can’t use it unless its installed on their system?
