Hey there design freelancers! I was wondering how you are adjusting to the new limitations of the free plan? More specifically, I was wondering what strategies you have found to collaborate with your clients to allow them editing access, who pays for what and how ? It seems to me that the price can really add up if you are working with many clients who need editing access to the design files! Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the matter. Cheers

I was SO excited to learn about the Extended Collection feature--until I looked at the help center article, where this will only be available for Enterprise plans. 😭 I work for a b2b that allows for our clients to use their own colors in our product. When testing out the color system in light and dark theme with our default colors, obviously that’s fine...but then swapping the primary color (and sometimes secondary color 💀) to see in light and dark mode is a bit trickier across a bunch of clients.I created a default collection with light/dark theme that uses our primary and secondary colors. I made a second collection with primary and secondary colors to swap out for quick tests or demos..but at that time we were limited to 4 modes. so the ‘modes’ were the companies and the variables were grouped in primary- light theme/ dark theme, secondary- light theme/ dark theme.I guess the allowance of more modes is helpful...but how are others handling this?  

Hey Guys I had accidently added my educational plan on a different account but then i delete that account so that I can apply it on a diffrent account, but no use the same error again.  

Hey everyone !Not sure that I am the first having this issue but didn’t find a topic describing the exact same problem.I created 4 variants of a component in order to create a rotation effect, here is the component set : The same image with a 90° rotation But when I want to use it, the instance that I could get is only the first variant, even when I select another one :  What am I doing wrong here ? If anyone has any idea how I could make this work, I restarted many times and nothing changed .. Thanks 

And it is getting worse. For a long time, we have been using a file naming structure that consists of 1-2 or more Jira issues, such as AB-1234, and the actual project name. This was never a problem in UI2 because we could see the entire name in the tool bar and for any thumbnail when hovering over the tab bar. But now it looks like "AB-1234 | AB-1234 | Filenam...".There are hundreds of such files, and no one sane would try to rename them. And no one should have to, because it's not right for a tool you've been using for years to suddenly become less convenient and efficient.Possible solution:- Change the file name component in the left panel to a text field instead of a single-line input. This seems like an easy fix. No one cares if it’s 1 line or 3, it’s visually ok in both cases, just let us see the whole name without any workaround, like before.- Stop shortening the name in previews when hovering over the tab bar. Hey, I have a bunch of var tables in my UI kit, and from time to time the strings in those var collections just go and become hidden from publishing, which I’ve never intended to do. Are there any clues why could this happen again and again? Drives me nuts to go and waste my time unchecking those 50+ times. 

Hiya, I need to use a font (Adobe Obviously font family) in Figma. It worked briefly when I installed the font using a figma plugin but then it disappears. It shows the yellow ‘missing fonts’ alert but won’t update when i try to replace it. I only seem to have this issue with that particular Adobe font and it’s really frustrating. (I’m using Figma in browser as i read that this was better for font issues, on macbook) Could anyone help please? Thanks! 

Hi, we currently experience a very strange bug:When dragging a specific component out of the library it is only importing a white frame. When detaching it there is no content in it.This only appears in older files. If I create a new file it works just fine.Things we tried to solve the issue:Update the component library Re-Publishing the damaged component Repair component connectionsI am pretty sure that there is a bug within that instance. But as this component is used among the whole company I want to avoid recreating it to keep the connection to the library.Do you have any idea to solve that issue? I had figma free education plan which i applied for now they emailed me to re-verify by september 29 or I'll lose those pro features now I joined figma recently a month back i have re-applied for verification but they say i have exceeded limit for verification or availed this offer. I have no clue how to solve this i have contacted Sheer Id support team too.

Hey gang Any tips for creating a figma make prototype that respect 5 + breakpoints when importing from a page frames figma design. Currently can only import 1 or 2 frames at a time. Make sometimes goes off script and doesn't create a the correct media enquiries 

Hello,I’ve been using a Figma Education account, but today I noticed several unexpected changes.When I logged in, the team workspace that my teammates and I have been using became view-only,and another team workspace was switched to the Starter plan.(This part might be related to another team member’s settings.)However, in my personal workspaces, one still shows the Education plan but has a Free badge,and another one displays a page limit warning — a message I’ve never seen under the Education plan.To check whether my Education plan had expired, I tried to reapply for the Education plan today,but I received a message saying that the verification limit had been exceeded.It seems that my account has been downgraded to the Starter plan,but I am still an active student and rely on the Education plan for my coursework and projects.Please review my account and help restore my Education plan access as soon as possible.Thank you very much for your assistance.

I designed a mock-up of my project and I notice when I hit play, the design does not show up and instead shows me a black iphone 16. Is there a fix where I can get my design to show on the iphone? Thanks

Hello, I am facing this problem: My app-developer encountered an asset export issue. A complex icon, composed of stacked vectors (group), is being downloaded with an excessive amount of blank whitespace around it. The actual icon occupies only a small fraction of the exported asset's bounding box.What is the root cause of this behavior and what is the cleanest method to rectify this on the master asset so the developer receives only the minimally necessary area for the icon?I already tried to frame the group, to make it a component, change the export settings and the union selection function, but nothing worked so far.Can you help?Thank you 

I am currently creating a screen in multiple languages. I have found that the Greek text display is unstable in some areas. There are some areas where the characters are not displayed. They appear when I double-click, but do you know why this is occurring? The font I am using is “Poppins”.Thanks for reading.

Hello, I am facing a problem with my Figma prototype project, which I have embedded on Behance. The issue is that none of the links for external web pages are working on Behance. When I click on a link, it's as if I clicked on plain text. I have checked the links in the Figma prototype, and they are working perfectly there. I have already checked my links—they are accurate—and I have looked for solutions online but haven't found anything helpful. I have read online that the embedding code might be the source of the problem, but I am unable to verify this. I have also checked the sharing settings. One more thing to note: in the edit mode on Behance, the links are working. If anyone knows anything that could help, I am willing to provide the embedd code if that is going to help. Thank you!

Console seems to not be accessible from within the App development environment, nothing available in the Docs any ideas as to why and how prevents Figmas specific npm etc as a result. So be warned. mac OS 15.6 SeqouiaFigma Desktop App 126.9.10とブラウザバージョン、デザインファイルでの現象 テキストエリアで二行目以降を日本語で打とうとした際に、1文字目が勝手に確定されます。一行目でこの現象は起きません。例えば「この」と入力すると「ｋおの」という形で頭文字が確定されます。他のテキストでも日本語変換を行うと同様の現象となりました。 以下、試したこと。すべて治りませんでした。・同ファイル内で別のテキストエリアを作って入力・別ファイルを作成して入力・Figmaの再起動・OSの再起動 スクリーンショット貼っておきます。よろしくお願いします。

Hi Figma Support Team,Our educational plan was recently locked, but we’ve already reverified our status and even submitted a full list of students for upload and verification. Despite completing these steps, our access is still restricted.Currently when I click to reverify it show me that we have successfully verified your education status! This issue is currently blocking our entire academic course and disrupting ongoing design work for students. Could you please help us resolve this as soon as possible? 

I have several component with linked Variables to the selected Theme on the page. Even if I have the linked variables matched to the selected themes there seems to be a bug where sometimes the linked variable will not update to the proper theme when I switch the page level theme. Some of the components update fine, others will not. I’m not sure what causes this but it’s confusing and frustrating.
