I’m using Figma on Windows 11. The desktop app keeps disappearing every now and then. Kindly tell me how I can resolve this problem.

I’m working through a UX Design online course, and I’m at a part where I created a usability test around the prototype I made in Figma. I sent out the links of the prototype to 5 people and the 3 that have gotten back to me said the navigation bar didn’t populate. On my end, in figma on my laptop or on my phone the navigation bar shows up for me. I’ve tried googling this issue and troubleshooting multiple possible solutions, but so far nothing has worked. Does anyone know how to fix this or what would cause part of the prototype to not show up with the link?

Hello, my company has a design system that we have set up using color and text styles. We are now planning to launch another product within the company that will have completely different branding. We will be sharing some more simple components between the two products but then will also have product specific components. I would love any advice that you have on the best way to build this second product design system.I am thinking that I will have to re-do our current design system to utilize variables for color and text instead of styles so that way I can create different variables for different branding. (If all of my components are now using styles will this mean that I have to go in and manually update every component to use the variables instead? Or are there any shortcuts to batch this process? Hello! I have noticed recently that WebGL seems to crash when doing simple tasks in Figma, to the point that it is unusable. Figma used to work fine for me a couple of days ago, and now doing simple things such as using the color picker, moving an object slightly, zooming in on very simple files seems to make the screen black out, and WebGL will fail to load for about a minute after that. I have never had this problem until a couple of days ago, this makes me suspicious this bug was introduced in an update. I have tried clearing the website cookies, enabling override software rendering list and this has unfortunately not fixed the issue on my end. Please fix this major problem soon! Operating System & Browser: ChromeOS 132CPU: Intel Celeron N5100 

  I received a notification email stating that my Figma Education Plan is about to expire. Currently, I am attending a bootcamp to prepare for employment, so I would like to extend my education plan. However, I am unable to renew it due to the following error message:"Verification failedYou’ve already used up your free access to the Figma Education plan."It seems similar to the issue attached below. Could you provide support to help resolve this problem? 

I have a component that I updated and then published individually by clicking “Publish changes…” in the properties panel. The component updated without issue, but it still shows up as “modified” when I open the file-level “Publish Library” dialog. At the component level, it no longer shows as having changes to publish. I’m now wondering how many of my components are showing a false-positive…

Hi,I’m trying to login to my figma account [redacted by forum admin/moderator to remove PII] through my school email Id which is now not available anymore. When I tried logging in, it sends an authentication code to my school email ID, which I cannot access anymore and hence can’t login. Hi everyone,I'm trying to import a website design for Stips into Figma, but I'm running into issues with Cloudflare blocking the import process. I've tried various approaches, including using Puppeteer with cookies copied from an authenticated browser session and even using a VPN, but Cloudflare still interferes.Has anyone encountered this issue before? Does anyone have Figma Tax Residency Certificate for 2024 and 2025? How can I get one? I need it to avoid double taxation.

I have been trying to create components for navigation controls, radio button sets, and dropdowns that show an existing selection with a checkmark. Each of this interaction use cases calls for mutually exclusive logic for a successful prototype: Navigation Control: Only one section/page/screen can be shown at a time and thus the corresponding section needs to be “highlighted” in the Nav Control. By default, one section should always be “highlighted” as selected while the other sections are not. Radio Button Set: One option needs to be shown as selected by default (there is no “no selection” for radio button sets by default). Hi, I try to move a bunch of master components from a local file to a library file. Those components contain everything you imagine (variants, nested components, overrides, etc.). I followed the instructions in this article: Move-published-components I have no problems in publishing the origin file (no invalid assets or other problems). So when I now cut the compontens in the origin file and paste it into the destination file, I get the following error: “Some components were reparented to avoid a dependency cycle.” Does somebody know, what this message exactly means? How can I avoid that message? Is it even a problem? (I didn’t dare to continue and quickly undid everything via CMD + Z) 😉 Thanks for your help! Ben

For around the last week, we’ve been having various problems with text inside our Figma files.Sometimes, elements that have text properties attached to them become un-usable. If I try to Cmd+Click to edit the text inside the instance, it simply will not select. If I type text into the property field, it displays in the panel but that’s not reflected in the instance.There are also problems with display. I have a menu for example, with a background colour and text colour variables applied, and default and active states: But when I change to the active state, the text vanishes from view, although it has the correct, dark colour applied: Last thing is that sometimes when we change states, Figma is resetting the name of the layer: We’ve closed and re-opened the files. Closed and restarted Figma. Closed and restarted our machines. Cleared the cache. It’s not on every piece of text or every component. It was there 3 hours ago (in the unnecessary expand/collapse section. I ALWAYS want to see that setting, and if you insist on putting in an expand/collapse section, for goodness sake PLEASE let it remember it’s last state so I can open it and see it forever more!!)

Hello!..I have a problem in these days. I created nested components in main component and moved the instance to another file. The instance is broken and other nested components inside are broken too. So what’s wrong? 

In the new UI Figma doesn’t show the option to bookmark the plugin on the first preview. After going to plugin details you are able to save it. A small bookmark icon in front of the plugin name can be a much easier solution. The old UI was more productive in plugin flow. I hope they fix this in the coming releases.

It is not easy to manage master files and updated design for overall components it a bit dificult thing

Hello! I just signed up and got verified for Figma for Education and followed the steps to create a new Education team (Wisconsin Virtual School). My profile says “Education account, but the team still says “Free and I run into limitations that prompt me to still upgrade to the Professional plan (ex: only having 1 project). Is there just a delay in fully verifying my account even though it appeared as though it was all set? Or am I misunderstanding the explanation from Figma about what this Education plan entails?  Thanks for any insight!Meri

in figjam recently when I connect boxes with arrows and choose their colors from the proposed ones, instead of the ones I won, they show darker ones. How to fix this? 

Does anyone know how this card open on hover is done? Ive tried but the difficulty is that the other cards reshape to the custom size for each one that is opened?Or if there is a template for this kind of Component that would help lots too thanks! 

I’m not sure if this is some niche bug or we’re supposed to do something when working with an older file, but I was updating a pretty old file about 1-y-o and when turning a frame with nested items into a new component I couldn’t find the option to add a text property to my component when a text layer was selected. I looked it up and didn’t find anything similar.I ended copying over all the elements outside of it and creating a new component that’s configured the same and the text property option appeared. It could just be a coincidence that the first one was an old layer but it’s the only difference I noticed.(P.S. UI3 is annoying, tried for a couple months and it never became as intuitive as the original UI over a week of use...)
