Figma displaying black screen — persists after reinstall and driver update

Please help. Something went wrong and Figma is stuck on a black screen. I reinstalled it and have new drivers. I'm out of ideas. Does anyone know what could be causing this?

If this is still happening, the following details would help narrow things down:

  1. File type: Is this happening in a specific type of file (Design, Make, FigJam, Sites), or across all of them?
  2. Platform and version: Are you seeing this in the desktop app, the browser, or both? If you're on the desktop app, could you confirm you're running version 126.1.4 or later?   3. Steps to reproduce: Could you walk me through the exact steps leading up to the black screen, and whether any error messages appear along the way?

у меня десктопная версия. спустя время я обнаружила, что если удалить фигму, а также весь кэш, то после повторного скачивания она запускается, но после того, как я закрываю программу, снова не работает

It doesn't matter what type the file is. I use desktopp app and it just won’t opened. only black screen without anything.

To make app work, I need to delete it, then delete the Figma cache in the AppData folder, and download the launcher. After all these manipulations, the app will work until I close it. The next time, it won't open again, and I'll be staring at a black screen. This is the current version of the app I have.

Nothing happens before the black screen appears. I just click on the Figma icon and then see a black screen. There were no error messages.

Thanks for confirming those details, ​@Лера — sorry this is still giving you trouble.

I tested the same version of the Figma Desktop App on my end and all file types are loading as expected, so I'd like to try a couple more things to help isolate what's going on.

  • Try a supported browser: Can you check if Figma loads correctly in a supported web browser? This will help us determine if the issue is specific to the Desktop App.
  • Device and OS details: What type of computer and operating system are you running? And if you have access to a different device or network, does that make a difference?

If neither of those help, there are two ways to move forward — I can escalate this directly on your behalf, or you can open a ticket yourself through the Support Hub for a deeper look:

  1. Head to the Support Hub
  2. Where it says “Tell us about your issue,” type: report a bug
  3. Click Start a chat
  4. Select Enter
  5. Respond to the following question with: yes
  6. Complete the form
  7. Press Submit
