I’m writing to ask for help with my Figma education account. I verified my account on November 23, 2025, and Sheer ID said it was verified. But I can’t access the professional features even though I got a confirmation email from Figma support.The Figma app says my education status is expired and I need to re-verify. But whenever I try to re-verify, I get an error message saying I’ve already reached the verification limit.I’ve talked to Sheer ID support a bunch of times, and they always say my account is verified, but the app keeps saying I need to re-verify. They also say the verification limit is exceeded.I really need this account for my university project. Can you help me fix this?

Hi! I’m trying to create a grid-style wallpaper in Figma.I designed a single square tile and exported it as a PNG. My goal is to use this image to fill a larger rectangle with a repeating pattern (tiled multiple times at the original size).Here’s what I’ve tried so far: I created a rectangle and, in the Fill section, changed the fill type to Image and selected my PNG. However, this results in the image being scaled up so that only one large square appears inside the rectangle instead of repeating. I also tried setting the fill type to Pattern, but when I click Select source, nothing happens and I’m unable to choose the image. Is there a way to make an image repeat automatically as a tiled pattern in Figma without manually duplicating the image? If this isn’t supported natively, are there recommended workarounds or plugins?Thanks in advance!

Hello!  I’m having trouble with the preview functionality, as it is stuck in a square aspect ratio, displaying a section of the total screen. Even when I click fill screen, it is still showing the same thing, only larger. Please see images below. Any help is most welcome!  

Is anyone else having an issue where there’s a little space between the drop shadow effect placed on imported transparent PNGs?Listen, I KNOW, Figma is not primarily meant for image compositing but I always end up with a tiny see through border all around the edges of the imported PNG once I apply the drop shadow in effect in Figma.  

Hello, my place image shortcut isn’t working, on both Mac and windows. (Command + shift + K) or (Ctrl +  shift + K). Anyone else having this issue?

I’m having a problem using the Figma extension in VS Code. It tells me I need to upgrade to Dev mode to view the project in VS Code.However, I’m a verified student — my bootcamp is already registered as a EDU partner. Despite that, I’m still having this issue.I contacted with my Bootcamp and they told me to reach out directly to Figma, but the chat then redirected me to the forum. At this point, I’m not sure how to resolve this problem. 

Is there any free plugin for image replace, so we can change the images at a time?

Hi everyone! I’m redesigning an existing live website (https://buscadordeestatuss.mx/) and trying to decide the most efficient way to bring the current UI into Figma as a baseline for iteration, not as a final or perfect replica.From your experience:Do website-to-Figma import tools provide enough structural and content fidelity to be useful for redesign work?Where do these tools usually fall apart (text hierarchy, spacing, reusable patterns, responsiveness)?For a content-heavy, SEO-driven site, is importing and refactoring faster than rebuilding from screenshots with Auto Layout and components?I’m mainly looking to preserve content structure and intent, while improving clarity, hierarchy, and maintainability in Figma.Would love to hear what’s worked (or failed) for you in similar projects. Hello everyone,I am pretty new to Figma prototyping and have only done basic transitions between pages. I’m working on a case study right now for a redesign, and I want to add more advanced prototyping, but I have no idea where to begin.In my Flow 1, there is the top text field and then the search classes button. If the text field is empty and the user tries to press the search button, I want an overlay of Frame 13, where the field turns red to indicate that it is empty. If the user presses on the empty text field, Frame 15 will overlay over it, meaning that there is a search query in it. Once there is something in the text field, the user can press search classes and it will take them to the next screen. Does anyone know where I can start or if there are any tutorials similar to this prototype?Thank you!!!!

Hello, I am not a designer nor am I a programmer.   I am trying, after not finding someone to help me get my site launched, to navigate figma.  I want to bring in my website pages to do the design work.  I can’t find anything on this, we’ve installed the plug in.   Any ideas would be hugely appreciated. 

Hello all,I’ve found this beautiful file in Figma community, I imported it in my project by following the instructions and it work great.The file is helping to build a form with inputs that are working realistically in a protoype.Each input of the form is created by adding a new mode (5 inputs = 5 modes).However since the original file is created with only 3 modes, it looks like that I am able to make it work only till 3 inputs on my file as well. It doesn’t matter how many modes I will add in my variables.The solution would be to change the variables mode as soon as I import the component in my file, but it’s not possible. The solution that seems to work is to manually review ALL the instances in order to reconnect them with my variable mode file (which is actually the same with the same name and modes as the original one). The problem is that the file contains hundreds of instances.I like to understand if there is a faster way to connet instances in bulk (I’ve tried few plugins with

I’ve noticed this happening for the past month or more, where every other selection command works as intended, instead of “Select all with same text properties”. This has been happening across 2 different Figma Pro accounts as well, so I was wondering if anyone else faced the same issue, and if there is any solution or alternative to performing the same action. Hi Community,We’re experiencing an issue with Figma variables after exporting design tokens via Token Studio and would appreciate your help.Setup: We maintain all our design tokens in a Google Sheet. This sheet is connected to Token Studio, and we regularly push and pull changes between the sheet and Token Studio. We then export these tokens from Token Studio to Figma as variables (and styles). Problem:After exporting, many variables or styles in Figma appear as broken (showing a question mark icon).Although the variables still exist, their values are not correctly resolved.To fix this, we currently have to manually remap the variables or styles each time in Figma in order to see the updated values. This happens repeatedly after exports, which makes maintaining tokens quite difficult.Expected behavior:We expect the variables to stay correctly linked and update automatically when exported from Token Studio, without requiring manual remapping.Could someone please help us understand:

I am currently evaluating how Figma can integrate with LLMs like Claude Code for codebase auditing. While I’ve seen demonstrations of AI generating code from visual snapshots, my primary use case is reverse-validation: I have a pre-existing codebase and highly complex flow charts built within Figma that act as the visual blueprint for that logic. Does Figma support - either through the MCP (Model Context Protocol) server or Code Connect - allowing an AI to programmatically parse my prototyping links, layer hierarchy, and flow logic to verify if the actual code implementation accurately reflects the designed user journey? Last year, my eligibility was successfully verified without any problems, but this time I continually receive the message “verification limit exceeded.”I first contacted SheerID regarding this issue and received the following generic response:“We were unable to process your verification request. While we can't offer further details or support for this specific inquiry, please ensure all information submitted is accurate and meets the eligibility criteria for future attempts. Your ticket has now been permanently closed.”I also tried contacting education@figma.com, but haven’t received any reply so far.At this point, my account is still limited to the free plan, and I am unable to work on several of my existing projects. Hey Figma,I’m running into an issue in Figma Buzz templates. After creating and publishing a template using Auto Layout with Wrap, the order of the fields has changed compared to my layer order. Plus, when I add content (using Edit Content fields) it’s switching from one field to another while I type. Hope you can help. Hi Xiaomi users! We’re aware of an issue that means you may not be able to sign in, we’re working on a long term fix, but in the meantime here is a workaround. Hi, I’ve updated my seats and removed one of the collaborators with full seat, but the invoice that was issued today and covers Jan 22nd to Feb 22nd states two full seats. Could this invoice be corrected? Who should I contact not to renew the extra seat for the period staring today?

Hello!I tried re verification for FIGMA student, but it was showing network error even though network was good, and continuously trying it was still showing the same error.Then it started showing Verification limit exceeded.So I contacted sheerID via mail, they responded with:We were unable to process your verification request. And Your ticket has now been permanently closed.I mail them again and again still got no solution.. If it's possible resetting the verification limit, please do it.Please provide the solution for this issue otherwise I won't be able to re verify student plan.I have also attached the image for better clarification. 

Hi,I previously had a Figma account verified with the Education plan using my university email. Due to a technical issue, I had to delete that account.I created a new Figma account with the same institutional email and re-verified my student status through SheerID, but the system keeps saying that the Education plan has already been redeemed.Since the original verified account no longer exists, this issue can’t be resolved by SheerID alone and requires a manual reset on Figma’s side.Could a moderator or support agent please help escalate this or advise on restoring the Education plan to my current account?Thank you.

Hello, When trying to import my design from figma to wix I get the message “you reached the import limit on Figma”. I am happy to pay for the transfer but the issue is that the screen keeps refreshing and I can’t interact with the URL at all. I tried this on two seperate browsers but the issue happens in both of them (so I’m guessing it’s on your end). The system here won’t allow me to attach the screen recording that will explain this better.
