Hello Figma community,
I need urgent help regarding a serious issue with my files.
Today (24 April 2026, around 11:00 AM PKT), I was transferring all my projects from my Education account to my personal account.
Education account: (redacted by the moderator due to PII)
Personal account: (redacted by the moderator due to PII)
I invited my personal account, transferred ownership of all files, and confirmed that everything was visible in my personal account.
After that, I removed the Education account’s access and later deleted the files from the Education account (including permanently clearing the trash).
However, after this, all files disappeared from both accounts.
Before deletion, I also saw a warning that the files were still linked to an Education plan/workspace.
These files include:
Internship work
Personal UI/UX projects
Portfolio work
This is very critical for me.
Since this happened very recently, I want to ask: Is there any way to recover these files from backend backups or via support escalation?
If any Figma staff or experienced users can guide me, I would really appreciate it.
