I’m rebuilding a load of our components, and was hoping to make a top navbar component that can display any nav item tab as selected without having to resort to making a variant for each item showing as highlighted. I’d like to have a single navbar component, with a sub-component for the different states of the tabs (selected/unselected), and then just use whatever functionality Figma offers to allow a single dropdown to select the live tab.I can see that it’s possible if I expose properties from nested instances, but that then means I display a full list of each menu item as a property, and all have to be switched off apart from the selected one, which is clumsy.I’ve currently settled on an unsatisfactory compromise where I’ve build a single navbar component, and then made a nested component for just the tabs themselves. I still have to then make a variant for each of the nav items, albeit just for the tabs and not the whole bar. Is it currently possible to do what I’d like?
How do I import figma make into figma design to make edits personally?
Hi, I'm new to Figma. After creating a site design under “site,” I am now trying to import the website into WordPress with Elementor via UIChemy. After much research and trial and error, I have noticed that UIchemy does not link to Figma “site,” but rather to Figma “design.” How can I get my designed site imported into WordPress? Is it possible to link directly to “Site”? That would make the most sense, right? Or what other options do I have?
I’m working on a brand identity project and trying to recreate the gradient effect you see in my logo (screenshot attached). The effect looks more like a multi-stop brushstroke gradient rather than a standard linear or radial gradient. It has depth, sheen, and a slightly “painted” look with multiple breaks in color—ranging from deep purple to aqua, orange, and pink. What I’ve tried so far: Standard linear and radial gradients → looks too flat. Multiple fills with blending modes → closer, but still not capturing the depth/brushstroke feel. Paint-style plugins (e.g., gradient mesh / pattern overlays) → not quite matching the richness. What I’m hoping to learn: Best practice in Figma (or via plugins) to recreate this type of multi-stop brushstroke gradient. Whether I should build it with gradient meshes, noise overlays, or multiple layered fills. If anyone has a recipe (specific stops/hex codes) or a technique they’ve used for similar “painted gradients.” Goal is to keep this edita
Hi, on a ComponentNode (inside a ComponentSetNode) the node property variantProperties has been deprecated (https://www.figma.com/plugin-docs/api/properties/nodes-variantproperties/) but is there no other way to get the active variant properties of a component node? The doc suggests use componentProperties instead but that node property does not exist on a component node inside a component set node.
We have about 60 teams in our organizational account. Basicly one team for every customer and all files under it. All our designers have access to most of the teams. We want to downgrade to professional and want to know how that would work in our case? Is it possible to solve it so every team becomes a project instead? So we end up with 1 team and 60 projects and all our files are kept? I cant find any detailed information on this…
I’ve been on the Free plan and last I shared a prototype, I could do it without upgrading anything. This month, I decided to start with a Collab seat and when I tried the Share now, a window prompted to upgrade to a Full Seat.Is a Full Seat required now in order to share a prototype?
I've created a project using Figma Make on my desktop. It's a buildout of a mobile app UI pages. But I can't find the project/files through the Figma mobile app. Can any one help please?
Typically the greatest cricket quotes, great sports quotes of all time, will fundamentally hold some common human truths about hard work, humility, teamwork, and other areas of the human experience as it relates to sporting achievement. At T20live, you will notice some of these quotes resonate with some very relatable ideas and language that connects to things leagues beyond the cricket pitch. Visit url :- https://t20live.com/
I successfully applied a boolean property to my layer, but it is still telling me that variants are conflicting. The boolean property works as expected, but why am i getting the error?
How can I remove an extra seat, that I no longer need, from my account. Thanks.
Support isn’t responding and now we are locked out because I don’t want to pay the annual fee for 15 licenses we won’t use. Support doesn’t respond. How do I talk to a human.
I’ve created my site with 4 breakpoints. When I use a combination of font styles (Inter Regular + Inter Semibold) within a single paragraph, In the editor mode, it looks perfectly fine. But in preview mode, the text appears different and in irregular size across breakpoints (except primary)Need help how to fix it? Not sure if it’s a bug or if I’m making a mistake?
Click and drag to increase or decrease values is still partially broken after a year since the issue first arrived. It only works sometimes and the troubleshooting we’ve been provided doesn't address the issue. Its not a critical issue, but one that happens everyday.Any update on this?
I have this button. I want to have a hover effect where a blue color slides in from the right.I can make it with a mask in the background, but then it does not follow the with of the button if eg the copy becomes longer. - so I have to manually edit the size of the hover effect. Anyone got a great solution
I'm having trouble transferring my Figma design to the web.The font sizes in Figma are significantly larger than the actual size. To make a realistic design, I have to use very small font sizes in Figma (for example, using 14px for text, when clearly no less than 16px should be used for body text on a website).Does anyone know what's going on?
Hello,im currently working on an Android App Design for which i’m using Google Material 3 Design Kit. Many interactive components have state layers. How do i change the state layer when it comes to prototyping? I can only change to a different variant of the same component, but can’t change the state layer. I’m kinda clueless and appreciate any help. these are the component settingsprototype interactions
If I share a board directly from my Drafts, collaborators trigger “request to edit/join” prompts. If I move the file into a team/project or make it public there first, does that change how those requests are handled? My main goal is to avoid lots of edit/seat requests from free users when they’re working on a shared Draft—any tips or best practices?
Hi there, I've discovered that having consistent icons for different projects is a time-consuming process, especially when you need several styles of UI, web, and app design. Recently, I explored a site called Iconiex, which is packed with lots of icons in different formats like SVG, PNG, Lottie, and icon fonts. What I liked about it:Smoothly integrates with Figma, where you can simply copy-paste icons into your projects.Features varied styles such as Solid, Stroke, Duotone, and Bulk.Includes a free plan that comes with thousands of icons, along with Pro plans for bigger teams. It was useful for keeping everything consistent and accelerating the design process. I'm wondering—how do others work with icon libraries in Figma? Do you use plugins, build your own collections, or use external libraries?
There’s a font called “System font” within Figma.I can’t seem to find it anywhere.Does any of you know the company who created it.Is it available anywhere else ?
I just published a figma make design to share with a client and the ui broke - all the styling is gone and I cant share it in the state it’s in. Has anyone else experienced this?
How to hug row’s height or hug frame’s height in Grid? I see it is possible to make it hug as default, but I can’t find it nowhere.
The client has shared a file with me and given me “can edit” rights, but I cant edit. I am getting this error “An Admin needs to update your seat so you can edit file”. Any ideas? Thanks
Hi everyone,I’ve been trying to turn my Figma prototypes into short demo videos for clients. Exporting screens works fine, but stitching them into something smooth takes a lot of extra effort.Has anyone here found a good way (plugin or workflow) to export Figma designs and then polish them into a video? For now, I’ve been experimenting with CapCut to edit the exported screens into a presentable format, but I’d love to know if there are more seamless options directly inside Figma.Any suggestions?
