Duplicating a Figma Make Project

Hello,

I have built a Figma Make Project which is working beautifully. I have following questions about the same:

  1. How can I duplicate the project? I can see the option to download the Figma Make file but how can I use it to duplicate the project? Even the code can be downloaded but how to use the downloaded zip file again to create another similar project?
  2. Will the code be stable and scalable? Should I just treat it as MVP or I can rely on it to build a scalable business. I am not a coder, therefore, I want to know how much I can rely on Figma Make only.
  3. Can you provide a feature to directly create Github repo from Figma Make project. Many other platforms like Replit provide it.

I am also looking for the same! I want to work parallely with my team on a different aspect of the design but I can’t do that while someone else is working on it!

Edit: I found a way to get it working

  1. Save a local copy of the file
  2. “Force open” the file in Figma. Ensure you import it into a different team/space and it will create a copy.

Hey, Thanks for sharing the method. I tried it and it works for me as well. 😃
