when paste image in Figma firefox browser. firefox showing “Paste” button Can anyone tell me how to stop this?

I am on a free plan but would like to publish my site. I only need a basic starter package. How do I do this? 

Hi, I hope there is a solution to my problem with the new figma site file. I have done many animations there for my prototypes and want to use them in my portfolio in Behance. The only way I know I can link a figma prototype in Behance is by embedding it with an iframe. I know how to do that from a normal figma design file (and it does display correctly) but I can’t seem to find how to do it from a figma site file. If I copy the embed code from a figma site file, the iframe displays the entire project, not only the prototype.I really don’t want to redo all the animations the old fashioned way in a figma design file because this takes way more time and it’s redundant.Can someone please save me? Is there a way not to animate this all over again?

Hi, well I have issue in my icon library that some icons are not changing colors when using them in other files/projects. I know that fix is to do CTRL+E and publish library but I have several hundred icons and that’s not possible because If I select all of them and click CTRL+E it will merge them. Is there some other fix ? I know that color not changing is known Figma bug. 

Hi everyone,I’ve been struggling with a prototyping issue for several hours and haven’t been able to figure out a solution. Hoping someone here has encountered a similar problem or has a workaround.Setup: I have a button component that contains only an icon (also a component), and the icon is set up to be swappable via instance swap. This button is used inside a navigation component, which has two variants (expanded/collapsed). Each variant is supposed to use a different icon inside the button — a left oriented arrow for expanded state and a right oriented arrow for collapsed state. In design mode, everything works as expected. Switching between the navigation variants shows the correct icon in the button.

Hi everyone! Can I resize components and elements with autolayout enabled? I need to adapt a desktop wireframe for a tablet, but I don't know how to do it.

Has the “Rasterize Selection” option been removed?The old instructions say to find it under the Object menu but I can’t see it there on my end.

Since Feb 12th, Make was loading a blank canvas with no error message. The layout UI appeared but the preview area stayed empty. In DevTools I could see realtime connections established but no data coming through. Later the behavior changed — now it shows “Couldn’t load Make” and the request: /api/make/fetch_ds_code_gen_status returns 400 Bad Request. Important observations:  Figma Design works perfectly (multiplayer + editing OK) Only Make is affected Happens across multiple browsers and devices (Mac + iPad) Same behavior on different networks (home Wi-Fi and mobile hotspot) Clearing cache, reinstalling browser, disabling extensions, and logging out/in did not help Network requests are no longer failing — the backend seems to refuse initializing the Make runtime This started after a connection

Hi everyone,I’m working on a dashboard UI where I have a text element with two states: Default → simple text view Editing → the text appears inside an input field These two states are created as variants in a component set.I also have an Edit button, but it is located outside of this component. I’m trying to prototype the interaction so that when the Edit button is clicked, it changes the state of that separate component from Default to Editing.What is the best way to prototype this interaction in Figma?Thanks in advance.Belal.

Hi,I made a website in Figma. I shared it with my collegue developer but he can’t export. He sees the file but he doesn’t see the export panel. I’m a newbie to Figma so I hope someone can help.  I have tried various options.First option I tried was to share it through the share panel while my design is in my drafts. Sharing by e-mail invite and by just sending a link. The option: viewer can copy , save and export form the file is checked Second option was adding my design to my team. I’ve invited him to my team. I gave him a developers suite and later also a full seat. While paying 27 Euros it still doesn’t work. Last option we’ve tried is sending him the file. Now he can export but also can change the whole design as he is allowed to do everything such  as move objects, changing colours  etc… What am I missing here and I am doing wrong?  Hopefully someone know the problem.

I’m building a public Community plugin that integrates with POEditor. I need a reliable way to identify the current Figma file (file key/ID) so I can associate exported/imported translations with the correct file. This is important because text node IDs are not globally unique across files, so the same node ID can exist in different files.From the docs, it looks like figma.fileKey is only available to private plugins via enablePrivatePluginApi. Hi, I’m unable to sign in to my Figma account. The issue is that the authentication code (for verification/login) is being sent to my old Gmail account, which has become inactive. I no longer have access to that email, and I also don’t remember the password to recover it.Because of this, I’m completely locked out of my Figma account.Is there any way to verify my identity or recover access without using that old email?Thanks for your help!

This auto-layout frame is a child/inside a basic frame that I should be able to move things around in.  How the heck do I turn this off when I hover over to click and drag. all I want to do is drag the group/autolayout over a bit manually and arrows in this small space are producing too large of a move. this comes up for me a ton and it’s insanely annoying. I can’t click and drag without it also changing the auto layout spacing.  if I want to change that I will go to the tool sidebar and do it myself.  I don’t need this pink stuff trying to do it for me just because i’ve hovered over it.Also, FYI - I couldn’t even screengrab it through the OS, because this literally happens on hover, so I snapped it with my phone - hence the bad photo, apologies.  

Hey everyone,I’m having a weird issue with Figma Make. The AI works perfectly fine in other projects, but in one specific file it crashes every time I try to use it.I even used Figma’s Duplicate feature to create a fresh copy of the project, but the AI still crashes in the duplicated version too.It doesn’t seem to be an account issue since everything works normally in other files. I’m wondering if it could be something inside this specific file maybe a heavy component, too many variants, large images, or some kind of internal corruptionHas anyone experienced this before? I’m currently in the process of redoing several Adobe XD projects of mine from a few years ago in Figma, and while I’m starting new with some visual assets, there are a few I want to keep as I’m building my components. The menu screen of this project featured a header bar with a beveled portion on the right (highlighted on the example below). I’m curious if there’s a way to scale the bevel portion based on the width of the text contained in it, without setting it up as two separate text containers via auto-layout. Are there any workarounds for this? 

I can’t find a way to use the Pencil and Brush tools within an existing mask. The new layers are not placed within it, even if it’s selected, or if a layer within it is selected.The Pen tool behaves differently, behaving like you would expect.1) Is there a way?2) If there isn’t, please consider this a feature request :p Thanks.

I duplicated the agency read-only file as File B, and I also have File A, which is the older agency file.Both files use the same design system, but File B contains some newly added pages. What would be the best way to:  Copy the new pages from File B Move them into File A Relink the instances on those pages so they point to File A’s components (right now all the instances are still linked to File B) Thanks

Hi all - I have tried to trouble-shoot this issue but I cannot, for the life of me, get Figma to do what I want.  I have a very simple image variant that has a desktop and mobile version. The height of the image is the same in desktop and mobile. When the image scales down from desktop to mobile, the left and right edges should contract but the whole image should not scale down. See image explanation below. I’m also sharing the settings I have for the main component. Are there any fixes for this?Heeeeelp!   

Hi everyone!I'm trying to replicate the TikTok "Classic" text style in Figma for some social media slides. I want the white background (Fill) to wrap tightly around each line of text individually (creating that "stepped" look), exactly like it does in the app.Right now, when I use Auto Layout on a text box, it just creates one big rectangle. I've tried "Hug Contents," but it still treats the whole block as one shape.Is there a way to do this without manually creating a separate text layer for every single line? Maybe a plugin or a clever workaround?Thanks in advance! 

We’re running into an issue with Code Connect that started last Friday.We’re currently rebuilding our Design System, and up until last week we were using Code Connect successfully to map Figma components to code in our GitHub repo. Since last Friday, variant restrictions no longer match as expected, so the intended use cases/examples don’t appear even though the file still publishes without errors.What we observe Publishing the .figma.tsx file succeeds. Repo access/permissions appear unchanged (Figma still has access to the repo). The Code Connect example that should match a specific variant combination never shows. HiMultiple component buttons with variables and interactions are mimicking what the other does unexpectedly. I have several pages each with a question and a selection of answers. I’ve used variables to help with the interactions and it was working fine. But suddenly once answer A for example is picked, it's already highlighted as if its been selected on the other page. I’ve looked into issues, so I’ve given them different names but the issue still persists. The one thing that is connecting them all is the use of variables applied when using interactions. I was under the impression the same variable sets could be used on multiple buttons? But should I have different one. So page one would have Question 1 set, etc. Thank you in advance for the help!Best, Matt
