I’ve been a loyal user of Figma for quite some time now, and while I love the platform, I find myself increasingly frustrated with its billing practices—particularly when it comes to FigJam. Cancelling FigJam should be straightforward, yet it feels unnecessarily complicated and time-consuming. For a multi-million company like Figma, this lack of transparency and ease is disappointing, if not entirely dishonest. Why should users have to jump through hoops to cancel a subscription they no longer need? It feels like an intentional attempt to retain revenue by making the process frustrating enough for users to give up. Figma has built its reputation on user experience and innovation, but practices like this undermine that trust. Surely, a company of this calibre can do better—providing an honest, user-friendly way for people to manage their subscriptions. If anyone else has faced this issue, how did you handle it? And Figma, if you’re listening, it’s time to fix this. Users deserve better.

We have two main libraries, a “Component” library and a “Data” library made up of text variables that we reference in the Component library. The Component library is constantly running out of memory and says that Imported Components are using 30% or memory. I checked through the whole file and not a single external component is being used. Do internal instances of local components count as “Imported Components”? If not, how could a few text variables use that much memory?

I used to have both Figma and Figma beta on my desktop, a few days ago it told me to update on next launch message like always and when I did, it didn’t run correctly anymore. I deleted the app and reinstalled it from Figma main source, but now it’s not coming up at all. No error, no reaction. Anyone else having this issue?

I was previously subscribed to the Education Plan. However, when I attempted to renew my subscription, the process failed. Following this, I noticed that my files were affected. While I managed to fix the permissions, I discovered that some files are missing and cannot be found in either the drafts section or the trash.

I often use Miro to create a Mood Board for a project. I would love to do it in Figma but I can’t do it because of the current image limitations. The screenshots get very blurry when I paste into FigJam. The same happens in Figma.

I’ve installed Figma desktop on my Macbook M1 but everytime I put the computer to sleep it keeps waking up. I have narrowed this down to the Figma desktop client that must be syncing which wakes up the laptop. I have shut down all apps and this is the culprit. Does anyone else have this issue? Any solution beside quitting the app at the end of the day?

Hi everyone, I’m facing an issue with a Figma component: I updated the logo in the component library [the app bar], but this caused the title in all instances to reset to the default value (“Title”). The title and logo are separate layers, and I didn’t make any changes to the title in the library. There are more than 2,000 instances, so fixing them manually isn’t an option. Why is the title resetting when I only updated the logo? Thanks in advance.

Since I upgraded to the new updated app this morning, the desktop app on windows 10 cannot change size or drag the app on the screen, it is set on a fix size and no way to drag the app on the screen

Hi! I created a few components and their child to use in prototyping. Although I do see the frame is part of my component, when i try to prototype Figma returns a message that “A prototype needs at least one frame”. I found if I use a scale factor like 1.4x, 1.5x, the output image, will have one line of white pixel in on the right or bottom. When I switch to 2x, it works fine again.

Hi all, I’m wanting to create a gradient from colors that are in my local library. As shown in the following image, if I have something selected I can select “Fill” and chose a color option from my local library. This is done by pressing the color preview (the color sample next to the RGB input field). However when I apply a linear gradient and select a stop, then press the color sample for the stop (as shown in the next picture), I cannot choose a color from my local library. Why not? Thanks!

I have a rectangle with an outside stroke and an inner shadow. Given the stroke is set to Outside, I’d expect the inner shadow to appear inside. But the inner stroke seems to start where the outer stroke starts. When toggling off the outer stroke, the inner shadow appears as I’d expect it to. What am I misunderstanding about this – or is this a bug?

My educational account has expired, and my files are now in view-only mode. Is it safe to leave them there for storage? I plan to use my free account for editing and designing, but copying everything over would be too much. Is there any risk of losing access to view or copy my files in the future?

Hello family, while working on a project i accidentally clicked something and these thick but faint lines appeared across my frames. I am new to Figma and i’m not sure how to remove them. anyone to kindly help?

How can I prevent ghost variables? It is still a mystery to me how some of my components became homes for ghosts. For example, I haven’t touched checkbox since I added the variables in the first place, and today I learned that the variables weren’t updating with everything else… not sure why!! So many questions about ghosts… If I change the name of a variable, will that create a ghost or will it overwrite? If I delete a variable, publish (creating a ghost), but then re-add a variable with the same name will it be reconnected or will it still be a ghost? If I detach a component, will the variables still be connected to the library and get updated or will they turn into ghosts? If I rename a component, will the variables used in it become ghosts? If I move a component to another page, frame, or section in the library will it cause ghost variables? If a designer in a worker file overwrites a variable, will that variable update with the library or will become a ghost? How can I make sure t

Hi there, We have a team library with components, and other project files using instances of these components. When publishing changes to the master component in the source file (library) we stopped receiving the “Review and accept library updates” notification in other project files and obviously component instances were not updating. Yesterday (17.01.2023), this notification was appearing but the changes were still not applied in component instances in other files. This is an important issue, as all our work relies on the libraries working properly. Urgent help would be appreciated. Thanks. UPDATE: I tried solution #3 from this thread and it is still not working.

Hi guys! Something happened to my Figma yesterday and it doesn’t seem to be back to normal. Clicking and interacting with objects and groups has changed completely. When I hover the mouse cursor over an object, it just doesn’t work, it’s not clickable and it’s not highlighted either, only on when I click very close to the edge on right side works and I can select (strange behavior). Sometimes, when I click on a group, it selects the last layer and not the group as a whole. Many objects in all my Figma become like this. What happened? I can’t drag screens around like before either after selecting as well either.

Is there a way to track changes in slides, so collaborators can see what an editor changes? Does anyone know a way or clever workaround? (Version history is not useful. I looked into branching, and also compare-changes in dev-mode, but those features/functionality aren’t available in Slides. Looking for other ideas, please… Thanks!)

Is there any way that I can get the code from the Code Connect by plugin or API? It seems that I can only copy + paste the code, which limits thing that I can do. Curious if there’s any way the I can get the string from plugin or API. I couldn’t find one from the Docs.

while opening the Figma app on my iphone and trying to scroll to a new screen that has a video in the backgroud - the screen goes black for a couple of seconds. This dosnt happen on the computer, probably somthing to do with downloading the video, although it is not bug at all… please any recomandation on how to fix it ?
