Bonjour Je rencontre des difficultés pour créer un design responsive:Si j’organise mes frames en auto layout avec fill contener lorsque je glisse un auto layout dans un auto layout il se positionne automatiquement au dessus ou en dessous alors que je voudrais qu’il s’ajoute par dessus ou par dessous (les superposer).photo 1Alors j’ai essayer la solution de la positions absolute qui donne le rendu désiré mais le design n’est plus responsive….photo 2Sinon les contraintes mais ça ne fonctionne pas avec les auto layout…Le problème est que si on ne met pas tout en auto layout sans utiliser la position absolute le design n’est pas responsive…En espérant que quelqu’un comprend mon problème et puisse m’aider a trouver une solution merci d’avance. bonne journée 

Hello, I’m having trouble using the number vars for line and letter spacing. For some reason (why??) percentages are not supported. So i tried using the rem and em values from our codebase. But it seems thats not the right unit, because as I apply the variable i can see the text move slightly. Also, it seems number vars do not support 3 numbers after the decimal. Why??? Variables are definitely not ready to be out of beta. The UX of editing&applying them is also bad. Keep working on it please.

I had months back enabled a library for my files but I soon deleted the file (which was a community file - "Wireframing Starter Kit’) but the library is still published and I can’t unpublish it or remove it from appearing in all my design files. The library doesn’t show up in the enabled library settings too. The problem is the deleted file still appears in my recent files section but I can’t see any option to delete it. Also when I enter the community file and try to unpublish it, there is no such option and neither can I select the library for more options. My problem is similar to this solved problem on the forum: [SOLVED] How do I remove libraries that appear in the "libraries" modal? But in my case since it is a community file, I can’t change the access settings of the file. And I am stuck with this very annoying problem.

How can I set the prototype to display to anyone (without login) and display the file only to emails I invite?Is it possible?Thanks

This update is really difficult to get used to, now if you entered the change in only one dimension and then selected ‘Constrain proportions’ icon, the second dimension would resize automatically. Now with the recent update it doesn’t resize automatically and you would need to press Cmnd+Z not 1 but 3(!) times to get the change back. I think it was way better initially before the update.

Hey everyone,I’ve been running into a frustrating issue when trying to export designs from Figma. Every time I attempt to generate a snapshot image for handoff, the upload either fails midway or results in a broken preview. I’ve checked my internet connection, tried different file formats, and even switched between devices, but nothing seems to work consistently.Could this be related to plugin compatibility or export settings? I read somewhere that certain optimization tools or automation scripts might help streamline the process. Has anyone used tools like Delta Executor to automate design workflows, or could it be a server-side issue on Figma’s end?Would really appreciate any insights or workarounds! Thanks in advance. 😊

I recently accidentally deleted a file from my Figma account. Since I am currently on the free plan, I understand that only users with a premium plan can request file recovery.I would like to know if upgrading to a premium plan now would allow me to recover the file that was permanently deleted before the upgrade. Could you please confirm if file recovery would still be possible after purchasing a premium plan?

Unfortunately I lost the design I created on my account. I suspect this is due to me logging in through SSO on my Google account instead of through the regular log in. I would like to retrieve my design as many hours of work went into it.

I’m working on building a prototype that updates screen content and simultaneously triggering behaviors on hardware. I have my hardware set up where I can run a command on a Raspberry Pi and get the desired reactions. I also have an HTTP server I can send POST requests with properly formatted JSON to trigger the Raspberry Pi to run the commands that I want. The problem I’m running into is figuring out how to send those commands from directly within a Figma prototype. Does a plugin exist that does this? Is there a hacky means of putting a specially formatted URL in a link? I’m open to anything.

I’m new to Figma, but not Illustrator. So I need to do some work on some Figma files - saved them out as SVGs but when I open them in Illustrator ALL the fonts are converted to outlines and some graphics are missing, not to mention some masks are, shall we say, defective. Any workarounds or solutions? Thanks!

Hi everyone, I’m experiencing an issue when exporting a gradient color wheel design from Figma to SVG. In my Figma design, I created a circular shape with a smooth, continuous gradient that flows around the circle. However, when I export it as an SVG, the result doesn’t look the same as it does in Figma. I attach screenshots to show both: The design in Figma: The exported SVG result Has anyone else come across this issue with SVG exports? Could this be a bug, or is there a specific setting or workaround that could help? Thanks in advance for any guidance!

Hello the community, I was wondering how I can share a Figma presentation (application) and make sure that the files will always open fullscreen. I can’t find any options to deliver this functionality. Any workarounds or tips are appreciated.

Hey there!I’m trying to create a resizable button component. Along with text, I’d like to nest an additional resizable component as a background. Now, I know I could simply generate fill and stroke color in this example, but that’s not the case. How can I make the rectangular component resize itself along with the text on top of it? Thanks! 

I am a bit confused with the hierarchy and behavior of auto layout - like this item which obviously have an auto layout attached but when right clicked the remove auto layout option is not available.  but if i add another auto layout on top of this auto layout - then I can remove it. This is very puzzling. how many auto layout can you put on an element? and why is one not able to remove ALL ? 

I have read the ticket about having interaction panel pop out when clicking a node. That’s good but...Multiple interactions trigger a pop out of interactions panel beside it.My question is how can I have the interaction panel be ALWAYS OPEN including the specific details it entails even when I have not clicked on anything yet.1 interaction means i need to constantly click to open what animation it has.I understand probably the idea to have it always there. But when I want to inspect multiple elements with different animations I want the panels to be open all the time and show me all the list of animations and code that was added to a component, variant, element, frame, etc.I always have to click the Property name (frame name of where it’s supposed to go) and then it will show me the information. I have to click this every time. My wrist is killing me, specially when I am in a big team and I need to inspect each interaction for quality assurance.Send help, tips, and such. Thank you! 

Hi, I’m following a web course and I’m wondering how the author is doing a specific effect. When an image is moved over black text, the portion of the text covered by the image is white. I would like to understand how this is done and replicate it. I see there’s definitely some masking going on, but after that I’m getting lost. Hi, I’m a graphic and web designer and educating my self to become a professional UX designer. After watching different tutorials for how to use Figma (I’m used to Adobe and other website platforms), I struggle to save time fixing each frames and groups with Auto layout to make each sections or layers responsive. It’s also very time consuming of need to copy-paste and adjust the web or app design for each device sizes. With other tools, this is taken care of with one design. As designer, time is an important resource, and I must say, Figma is not on my side when it comes to saving time. Is it only me? I try to find a plugin solving this time consuming issue, but still I have not figure this out, after looking into Figma for proximately one month. Can someone please help me out? Why Figma has not solved this issues, when it comes to automatically adjust the design with automatically adjusting to different devices and keep it responsive? I find this community awesome, Thanks:)

Think about: https://www.flowbase.co/, https://figmacomponents.com/I’m currently figuring out how they do section X inside a copy to clipboard button. (Want to build this for a client) But, I am not coming to an end, after googling for hours, I can’t find anything about this.Is there someone how this exactly works?Would love to know that!

Hello, I am designing a food delivery app. One of its functions is being able to click on the x on a restaurant card which causes that card to change into “restaurant x hidden. undo?”. I managed to do this, but now I’d like to be able to somehow make the name of each restaurant appear in that box. Is this possible? Thank you.

Hello, I am new to Figma and design world. I used Figma to create animated design, and designed a whole home page. I successfully converted Figma design to Wordpress using UICHEMY. Unfortunately some design elements were missing, some elements changed place and some of them lost scale! I need your help to fix this problem so I can use my Figma design wherever I want.

I am very much a beginner user, designing some brand guidelines using Figma, and am running into a couple of challenges. Hoping this community may be able to steer me in the right direction.The guidelines will be one long page, which will be scrolled through by the user. I have set up a navigation bar down the left side, which is set to be sticky at the top, so will scroll on screen and then stay there.In an ideal world it would be great if, as the user scrolls through the sections – the section name in the navigation panel becomes bold. I would also love for these section names to be clickable and scroll to the sections (whilst also becoming bold/unbold).I have figured out how to do some of these things individually, but am having a hard time getting them to all work at the same time.- What if anything should I be turning into component variants?- Can I get the section names to bold, and ‘Scroll to’ the section ‘On Click’, or can you only add one ‘On Click’ interaction per object?​​​​

Is it a requirement or a rule that all variants in a component set must have the same properties? For example, If I have an instance swap applied to an icon in some variants, but there is no instance swap property in other variants, because those variants don’t have/need an icon (see example below), is that breaking a variant property rule that can cause issues with the behavior of the component?  

I have created a component - A dropdown button that has an absolute position Menu attached. Within the component I am able to resize the Menu but for the Instance of that component it seems ’m not able to do that. Is there a workaround for this particular issue?
