Hi! Our company recently switched to Figma/FigJam for virtual whiteboarding, the tool works great except that scrolling around by middle mouse button dragging pastes my clipboard content all over the doc. I’m using lastest ubuntu & firefox.

Hello all, I have this issue whereas when I update a component (like List Row) in a library, the same component that is used in a file resets it’s inputted data and information. Essentially, changing the component back to it’s original default state. Is this normal behavior? How can I prevent this from happening?It’s troublesome to have 50 screens with data on them to be totally reset after an update.

I’m having some issues when I make an update to a component in a published library, the update is not reflected in the deign file that is using the library.I’ve closed the tab and restarted Figma with no resolution. 

So I created a branch to start working on adding variables and modes to our design library file. I have run into a couple of problems that are as follows; When I go to create a new variable the keyboard “Shift+Enter” does not work to duplicate variables or create new. This appears to be because I have more than one mode. If I have one mode/value column Shift+Enter works, but not with two or more. The branch I am working in asks me to update from the main, but if I do that it removes the entire collection of my color variables. The variables do not appear in the review panel so I cannot exclude them from the update process. Oddly enough there is a collection of Number variables and that is not removed or changed. When adding a color variable, I first name the variable and then tab to the first mode. This selects the color box/swatch itself, but that has no action attached. It does not open the color selector by hitting enter, space, or return. I then have to tab to the hex value

Hello folks,I’m using the native Figma<>Jira plugin and vice versa. While it’s great, in Jira it bogs down the ticket as it’s usually loading the whole board. My dev team is kinda annoyed by this feature, is there a way to possibly just sync it to the nodes itself without creating a full preview as the screenshot below? I don’t see any options for it. TIA! 

Hey Community,I was wondering if there is a workaround to make unpublished components that are used as subcomponents in another component usable as preffered value for an Instance Swap. In my understanding this is actually a quite common use case, no? I don’t want users to be able to find SubcomponentA and SubcomponentB in the assets, but I want them to be able to use them as Preffered Values as Instance of Component.Error message when looking at the component in the library​​​Maybe I am missing something obvious here.Thanks for your help!  Note: The actual use case is way more complex than what the screenshots show, so just making two variants with the subcomponents as part of these variants is no option! :-) 

I have an Enterprise plan and I need any non-administrator user to be able to create a team in any workspace. I don’t understand the current restriction that a non-admin user can only create a team in the workspace they have been assigned. This is very restrictive and forces administrators to do it for them. I’ve read all the documentation available to me and I can’t find any mention of this anywhere. Thank you for your help.

I wanted to build a in app rating screen that pops up after a successful event. I want the interaction to work like this If user clicks the 4th star, stars from index 1 to 4 should change its state from disabled to active (grey to yellow), same interaction for all the stars.

OK so in the beginning of the year it turned out I don’t have projects in my personal Figma subscription, just some contract account stuff.I cancelled the Pro plan… so I thought.It didn’t take payment on the 27th, so it’s OK.But then, I go to Figma, see the team I had as Professional, it still has Professional badge.I see that in the e-mails I have info that it’s “viewer-restricted” account that I have at (my own) team.I don’t get it… it should limit the stuff and not generally switch me to “viewer” for all of my projects?Now I have to go to projects and ask to edit but… I ask myself?And I go to subscriptions and I’m still on Professional but I am… not? This is idiotic… another thing that is more complex than needed.Anyone understands all that?

I want to delelte “limited access team”  in my team list.And the account that invited me is a dead email account, so the owner can't delete me.I don't want to be in that limited team. I don't need it. So I want to delete it, but no matter how hard I search, I can't find a way.   

Hi, We develop and deliver a product to customers outside our organization, that allows them to automatically create a basic, but operational user interface for their applications. Now we are looking at developing a Figma plugin that will allow them to use Figma to redesign the default generated UI. My question is whether it is possible to publish the Figma plugin so that it is only made available or can only be used by customers that also use our product.Thanks in advance for any thoughts on this topic.John.

I have added a video (with music)in to Figma frame. also set the option to “Autoplay” but on the shared preview link, it just missing the audio until I press any part of the screen

My team are on a professional monthly plan where I am the Admin role. One of the team members who has full design seat and should have full edit access to all files and projects in the team recently got downgraded accidentally by another user to view-only resrictions for one of the project files, and therefore the files within that. I can’t seem to go in as an admin user and just grant him access to the project file again because I was not the original creator of that file? The original creator of the file is currently on leave. What is the point of an admin permission level if the permission level doesn’t grant access to undo actions like this? Is this a bug or built in functionality? Has anyone else had issues being Admin level but not really having any control over the files that you didn’t specifically create yourself? Or am I just totally spazzing out and just missing/overlooking a button that allows me to do this? I’ve reached out to Figma for support but would appreciate help as

Having an issue opening prototype preview in browser - prototype is just showing as a white screen. It opens in the iOS mirror app, but in browser I’m just getting a white screen where my prototype should be. I’ve tried clearing cache, logging in and out, and using a different browser (tried both Chrome and Firefox). Anyone else having this issue?

Hi Community,I am working on a project where i need to add a Heading and Description on an image which will be generated by a prompt. The image generation part is already figured out. The problem is to add the Heading and description and a logo image on the image itself and make the entire thing editable.once they are stitched together.Thanks

I’ve encountered a bug where scroll position resets on all interactions when viewing a prototype in responsive view… The fix (for now) is to just view the prototype at actual size… Once I switch and view the prototype at actual size, scroll position is preserved as expected/intended… Wondering if anyone else has encountered this or found a solution for it?

  I want to create a stepper that allows only one option to be selected at the time using variables. So far I have something like this but it doesn’t feel clean or practical enough, since there I was trying with only 4 options and the actual content would have +10 options sometimes.Each dash has an active/inactive version, and I toggle the visibility using booleans to invert the items that are being shown each time.Logic inside each dashHow my layers are set up  

I am trying to build a prototype where the size of the overlay depends on the size of the window. There is a set of overlays. On click of the button I open overlay on the side of the screen and the height of the overlay needs to follow the height of the window. First image looks good. The overlay in the second needs to adjust. HOW?

Is it me or am I noticing some oddly placed options in the top navigation menus?Examples:Collapse Layers under the Objects menu- Shouldn’t this be under the View Menu? Layers aren’t objects. Pick Color in the Edit Menu. I’ve never seen anything like that before, esp. in that it doesn’t invoke a color picker, but the eyedropper. Round to Pixel under the Arrange menu. My gut says that’s an Object function.Not a massive set of issues and I’ll eventually have the key commands down for these (except for Round to Pixel). Anyone else noticing this?

Hii Team,I want to ask that Like I am designing the screen which is showing the data in the tabular form but now In that I am adding the features for it like filters in the additionally I have two drop down in it.I am sharing the screen shot with that also, Now In the screenshot There are two drop downs for the filter like bot status with the three value All, Active, In Active and same for the parser status but the data also need to be changed according to the selected option like for example Both at all option, one at all and another at the active and all the other possible ways.Now I tried a lot but unable to find a way to update the data based on the selected option I have all 9 possible screen along with the data so need the way to change data based on the condition so please anyone can help replay here.The black part has some data so please ignore it.Also If the design can improve then put the suggestion also.Thanks and RegardsDhruv

I'm currently creating my portfolio, in presentation slide format. Unfortunately, the presentation slides for my web UI screens are heavy, due to the size of the mocked-up screens, so when I export as a pdf, it's extremely heavy! I've tried converting the screens to png or images, but the visual quality is terrible. I've tried flattening all the screens, but it breaks all my designs... I can't find any solution to reduce the weight of my portfolio without altering the visual quality... do you have any advice?I hope I have succeeded in being clear in my explanations…thank you in advance for your advice! 

Hi! I’m new to Figma & design - but trying to create an interaction on a prototype which involves two sections on one frame. One section would be fixed and is the top part of the frame, whilst the second section would allow me to scroll over the first section. A reference of the same interaction can be found here on mobile view: [The Classic Check Cashmere Scarf in Mid Camel | Burberry® Official] Sadly when I fix position when scrolling of the the top section of the frame, and set the second section to vertical scrolling it will scroll underneath the top section which is fixed on scroll. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Reposting this community question a sit was never answered and I have the same question: It’s possible to work with Figma desktop app and force the app to not sync a design file to cloud? I have to work at some design that can contain some sensitive information and I don’t want to be uploaded on the cloud. I know that I can stop the internet access for the app, but maybe the app already has something build it. Ref: Force figma to not upload a design file to cloud
