Undo not working for me either. In fact it breaks auto layout groups randomly.

Facing same issue, can’t even go back 2 steps back.

Got the same issue on different computers. Keyboard set up is correct. Been having this issue for well over a year, totally over it. I quit/close my Figma desktop app several times a day to fix it. Which I hate doing. Any updates from the Fig team on this?

After the undo with Ctrl+z now you can’t Redo it with Ctrl+ shift+z, and it’s only happening in my personal Figma account which is free, and it’s working properly in my organizational account which has a paid Subscription. Is it intentional on the free version or by mistake can anyone answer from the Figma team?

Hi there,

Thanks for flagging. I also try to replicate the behavior on my personal free account, it was not happening.

Could you try the troubleshooting below?

  • Close any Figma tabs you’re not using
  • Browser : Force-quit and open Figma in a new browser window.
  • Desktop App: Force-quit the Figma Desktop app and restart it. If the issue persists, try clearing the cache.

If the issue still continues, Could you submit a bug report detailing the steps that led to this issue? You can do so by following the link: https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/articles/360041468234-Submit-a-bug-report

Thanks,
Toku

This did not work for me. However what did is if I quit Figma and started. Annoying but it works.

Marie Magnusson

Anyone else still have this issue with cmd z/ctr z not working? Because I have it randomly occurring, quite often now… It works at the start of a session but gets worse later. It is a very big issue that makes Figma very hard to use. I have looked at the keyboard setting but that is correctly set so that is not the issue.

Is this bug solved yet?

Hey @Marie Magnusson - you mentioned this starts happening after you’ve been working for a while. I’ve attempted to replicate, but with files that I’ve had open/been working on for a majority of the day seem to not have issues.

Is it across Figma overall, on both the web browser and the desktop app? Or do you notice this happening only on specific files?

Does performance overall seem to get worse when this happens as well?

To replicate this issue, set a windows 10/11 enviroment with a apple keyboard with the extra fn key,
