I’m testing a prototype where a user needs to drag a slider to allocate a specific amount of money. The placement of the slider determines the $ amount.At the moment, I’ve created 5 screens that place the slider at different points and used the drag interaction to allow the user to drag and drop the slider on each of those 5 points.This is clunky as it means the user can only select one of the 5 points I’ve specified and, if they want to go directly from one end of the slider to the other, they have to drag and drop incrementally to get there.Is there an easier way to achieve a granular drag and drop interaction without having to create multiple screens?

Please help me with this one. Why can't I see all of my components in prototype overlay listing. Look at the picture, i can see component "Submenu / title", but there is not component "Submenu / block gnojiva" (yellow marked). Overall I can see only some of components and other are not listed. I would like to call "Submenu / block gnojiva" as an overlay.Thanks  

I’m working on creating a lot of components with text fields in them and I can’t figure out how to get the text fields to appear for an instance of a component within the Design menu. See the screenshots below of what I’m trying to recreate for an instance of a component.  I can set the properties so that it shows/hides the labels, but I can’t seem to figure out how to set the property to also allow me to change the text from the Design Menu like in the screenshot above. 

Self-explanatory title. When I click on anything, it automatically wraps to the side. You can see it happen in the GIF below. I click on the little “X” icon and it hides behind the side bar, visible by only its purple outline.Why is this? What have I done wrong? 

hi, there is a porblem when i add stroke on ‘O’ or donut shaped text. when stroke width is thinner than the inside circle, it has no problem, but the stroke width goes thicker than the inside circle, the shape of the inside stroke absolutely break down. does anyone know how to fix it? thanks

I want to create the "1" inside the red frame.I made the "1位" on the left myself, but I can't perfectly replicate the effect using only a gradient.Is it possible to create this in Figma, or can it only be done in Photoshop? 

Oh jeez I need help! I copy/pasted text styles from one file to another and published those changes to the design team. I then tried to undo this work because there were some duplicate style issues… and now the entire org’s files are no longer attached to *any* type styles. Not sure how to revert all these changes back to a stable state.

Hello! I am having trouble with components that I want to smart animate. Example: one button that grows while hovering on it. If I choose to smart animate it, then the page will reset the scroll position to the top. The little box for “Reset scroll position” in the interaction is unticked. This doesn’t happen when I select “Instant” instead. It’s quite troublesome because the only thing I can really smart animate inside of my prototypes are things that don’t change the size in the y axis (I can make a button grow horizontally only, or change the opacity, colours, etc.). Any clues how this cloud be solved? Am I doing anything wrong? Edit: All the frames in my prototypes were created with Autolayout.

I have a row of "pills/chips" in Figma that are set up with variants. They are set up with the following: - State of chip: Default / Active (Chip outlined on default / colored on active)- Label: Enter labeltext- Show number of "chips" from dropdown: 4-8 chipsI have a problem with the content disappearing in the respective "chip" in present mode every time I switch from state Active and back to Default.Then I have to close down present mode and open it again, then it shows correct (The same happens in preview mode).Is it a bug that more people know about? Tried to set up the whole variant again with no difference.

My right side panel has disappeared. I looked at a post with the same title; the recommendation was to use "command " or “command .” but the right panel is still missing (the left panel shows/hides with those commands, which I already know about). I’m wondering if I accidentally pressed some combination of keys and now my right panel went on a permanent vacation?! Please, Help? Thank you!

I recently received a message stating that my Figma Education Plan has expired, even though the Education Plan is supposed to last for two years, and I have only been using it for one year.Since my circumstances have not changed and I cannot afford the premium plan, I reapplied for the Education Plan, but my request was rejected with giving this meesage: You’ve already used up your free access to the Figma Education plan.Upgrade your plan to keep creating and editing unlimited files, or create a new Professional team.Is there a time limit for accessing the Education Plan?What can I do now???? I genuinely cannot afford the premium plan.😢

Hi Figma Community,I'm having trouble getting an Auto Layout frame to hug its contents correctly. I've set "Hug Contents" for both the horizontal and vertical axes, but the frame doesn't resize to fit the icon inside.Here's my setup:Auto Layout frame: Contains an icon and text layer. The main component has an icon inside that has 2 versions: one that is an square of 68px and there is a particular use of an icon that is double the size. To change between icons I am using a swap instance.  Here the screenshot of what I am referring to: Hug Contents: Enabled for both horizontal and vertical axes. I have a stupid question concerning the intersect function in figma.  Scenario A, I place a flatten background color which is b&w (with curve) as a layer and place an outlined text on top of the layer. Trying to intersect these elements → it turns out the texts become one single color. (which should be b&w) Scenario B, I try to export the flatten background color (b&w) into image and redo the same → placing an outlined text on top of the image layer. Then trying to intersect these elements → it turns out the “cropped” (intersect) area was not the same. (the intersect-ed image is zoomed out.)  Basic testing, doing the same as above with shapes Ellipse + Square. Intersect these elements has no issue in Figma. Can anyone help with the solution for scenario A&B? Appreciated with the help & solution.

Hi guys! I have a problem with my prototype in figma. I just open the prototype in figma and it works fine but when I open it in chrome it doesn’t load. This happens only in Chrome because I have opened it in other web browsers like edge and internet explore and it works perfectly. Can anybody help me?

Hello everyone! I am struggling with auto-formatting the text style shown below. What I want is to have the underline expand with the text. The intended visual of the underlay underlineHowever, when I apply auto-layout and try to hack things a bit, the underline is either right below the text or the text is being covered by the underline (shown below). Would any of you have an idea of how to get the desired result?

I lost my figma file. It was my presentation that I have to show in 2 days, pls help!I have the prototype link, but the file source to edit is missing. I saw in Deleted files and it’s not there. 

Figurative has been the single best solution for Figma design on the iPad. In recent months I noticed it wasn’t being updated to support a few new features in Figma. Today I just checked it out to see if anything has been updated and it’s been removed from the App Store entirely! The app’s website also links out to an unavailable in your region message! I am optimistically hoping that Figma either bought Figurative or kindly asked the owner to remove it prior to an upcoming proper release of Figma design for iPad but I can only speculate 🤞

I use FigJam on my iPad with the Pencil. I usually need to use the slice tool as the eraser – which isn’t optimal but hey I’ve made it work.I’ve been using the app today and have noticed updates within the app. The stroke size is no longer accessed via tapping the pencil, but more importantly the slice tool has disappeared, so I can’t erase without tapping an item with my finger.Ergonomically/work-flow-wise this is just terrible and is slowing me down a lot, especially Since FigJam doesn’t support pencil gestures we’re left with no simple eraser function.Please fix this (or come up with a better solution)Thanks,

A client often provides a long extensive list of ad assets that need creating. Using the details they give eg dimension, content, gender specific etc we have to manually cross reference the list and manually create hundreds of ads. Often some stay the same but we still have to check incase some arent included or there are new requests. Is there a plug in that could help import this list to Figma and create blank assets with linked components?

Hello,I have list of 3 same components and i want with the nested instance to show only the Label properties and not the whole list (2 Variants,1 boolean and the label input) Does Figma allow to show 1 property among the whole list ?Thank you !

is there a way to create a figma prototype where you can resize components in prototype mode? i’m trying to resize components on drag (i.e. stretch navigation bar)

I created a function that allows numbers to be added sequentially on a keypad in increments of *10. The logic works as follows:Press 1 → Adds 1 Press 2 → Updates to 12 (appending 2 after 1) Press 3 → Updates to 123Similarly, I implemented another condition where pressing 1 three times should result in 111 instead of 12 or 123. I’ve attached a screenshot named 'add' to show this functionality.Issue with Number DeletionNow, I’m working on the minus function, which should remove digits in reverse order:For 123, the deletion should happen like this: 123 → 12 → 1 → 0 For 111, it should go: 111 → 11 → 1 → 0I’ve attached a screenshot named 'minus' for reference.The ProblemWhen I test the function with 111, it works correctly—first becoming 11, then 1, and finally 0.However, when I test it with 123, it correctly removes 3, then 2, but when it should change 1 to 0, it unexpectedly changes it to 0.90 instead.What I Need Help WithWhy is this happening? I am trying to apply a text property to my nested component. However I get an error “Not used within component.”I’m working on an accordion component, with variant theming for different brands. One brand uses uppercase text, while the other uses sentence case. Therefore I have created an automated switch based on variable mode. This is working well.However, I want to be able to enter the text for the accordion title for an instance in the properties to avoid the text reseting everytime I update the page. This is not working and I haven’t figured out how or why.
