I accidentally deleted a team, and I use the educational plan from my school email address. I'm supposed to restore the team by accessing the recuperation link sent to the email address connected to my account, but my school recently changed the address of all the students and I’m using my old email to Figma, so I don’t have access to it. What should I do? Is there any possibility the support team to send me the recuperation link? I'm really worried my files will be permanently deleted.

Hey @Sofia Lee, thank you for reaching out! Since your school recently changed your email address, do you happen to have your old emails forwarded to your new email? If so, one option is to try resetting your password. This can help you bypass the Google single sign-on and regain access to your Figma account. Once you’re in, you can update your email address and restore your deleted team.

If email forwarding isn’t set up, I can create a support ticket on your behalf. Our support team can start the process of manually updating your Figma account email address. To do this, they’ll need to verify your ownership of the account. After the email update is complete, you’ll be able to log in and restore your team.

Just a heads-up: you have 28 days from the date of deletion to restore a team. After that period, the files and projects will be permanently deleted. You can find more details on how to restore a deleted team here: Restore a deleted team.

Please let me know how you’d like to proceed or if you have any other concerns.

Thank you,

Gayani
