Hi everyone,I'm experimenting with Figma Make and trying to generate a chart with two overlayed line charts (e.g., rainfall and water level) that share the same x-axis.The challenge I'm running into is that the generated charts don't consistently align with the x-axis. The data points and lines appear shifted horizontally, resulting in one or both lines not sitting correctly above their corresponding dates/ticks.I've tried several approaches:Attaching a Figma design file as a visual reference Uploading a PNG screenshot with annotations and arrows pointing to the alignment issue Writing detailed prompts that clearly describe: What should change What should remain unchanged The specific alignment problems Breaking the request into smaller follow-up prompts after the initial chart was generatedA typical issue is that:The two line series use the same dates but their points don't align to the same x-axis positions. One line may start or end in a different horizontal position than the oth
Hello Figma Community Support Team,I am writing to urgently request visibility and escalation for my billing support cases (Ticket #1989928 and #1991409). It has been over 3 days since I requested a refund, and I have not received a human reply yet.To clarify my account status, I am currently on the Free plan. However, on my latest invoice (JVSPNARN-0002), I was unexpectedly charged $93.50 for Professional Full Seats because of 4 team members I had invited in the past. This charge was entirely unintentional. Zero paid features were used during this billing cycle, and as soon as I noticed the invoice, I immediately went into my settings and completely removed all those team members.Could you please check my support cases and pass a follow-up note to the billing team internally so this can be reviewed and fully refunded as soon as possible? Please note that I have already initiated a formal dispute through my credit card issuer and am fully prepared to take legal/regulatory actions with co
Hi everyone, we translate Figma designs using AI. We've tried both a home-made Dust plugin and AI agents (Claude / Cursor) that write back to Figma via the plugin API and MCP. Both hit the same limitation: when a text node has mixed styles (different weights, sizes or colours within the same node), replacing the text flattens everything to a single style. Is there a reliable way to preserve or restore mixed styles after replacing text content?Would love to hear if others have found a workaround, or if this is just a current API constraint.
Anyone else having this problem and found a good solution? We have a big component library. In some components there is an icon included. The icon in embedded as a component in which you then can select the icon from a different Figma library where we have all our icons. In some (very few) design files the icon changes when inserting the component in the design file. When inserting into the file the icon revert back to the placeholder icon: Icon changed when inserted into design fileWhen I copy the same component (that is wrong) and place it in another design file the icon looks correct: Icon revert back to the correct one when pasted in a different design file.Does anyone else have this problem? We have this now in 3 design files and it seems like the problem is growing...
HI Figma Team,I've been browsing the new Generative Plugin capabilities, especially the new Tools experience that appears directly on selected layers, and I'm curious about the roadmap for existing (classic) plugins. Is there a timeline or any documentation explaining whether classic plugins will eventually be able to use PropsKit and these new APIs? I've searched through the available documentation but haven't found anything that discusses migration or interoperability. My concern is that many developers have invested years building and maintaining classic plugins. The new Generative Plugin model is exciting and lowers the barrier for creating plugins, which is great. However, it feels like there isn't a clear migration path for existing plugin developers. It would be helpful to know: Is there a plan to expose PropKit and the new layer-level Tools APIs to classic plugins? Will there be an official migration path from classic plugins to the new Generative Plugin architecture? Or are t
I have a question about AI credits usage when editor seats are transferred during a monthly billing cycle.Currently, we use a fixed number of editor seats in our account. When someone moves off a project, we remove or downgrade their editor license and assign that editor seat to someone else. So in practice, the seat is being transferred from one person to another within the same billing cycle.I wanted to understand how AI credits behave in this scenario. For example:Our monthly billing cycle includes 3,000 AI credits per editor seat Person A has an editor seat and uses 1,000 credits in the first 10 days On day 11, Person A is moved to a viewer seat or removed from the team Person B is then added as an editor using that same available seatIn this case, does Person B get:The remaining 2,000 credits for that seat/month, since 1,000 were already used by Person A A fresh 3,000 credits, because Person B is a new editor A prorated credit amount based on the remaining days in the billing cycle
In Figma Make, how do you delete extra or empty files from the code tree?I can’t delete them or prompt the AI to delete them successfully. I’d like to make sure they do not confuse future prompts.
Hi! I added my Framer portfolio website to my Figma Community profile using the new website link feature.Figma displays the website as an animated preview inside a laptop mockup, but my cookie consent popup appears over the website. The preview is animated, but I cannot interact with it or click “Accept cookies”.I noticed that other Community profiles show animated website previews without visible cookie banners. Is there a way to accept cookies inside the preview, make the preview remember consent, or hide the cookie banner only for this website preview? This is not about Figma Sites or an embedded Figma prototype. It concerns the animated external website preview on a Community profile.Website platform: FramerDevice: MacBrowser: ChromeThe same issue also appears in the Figma desktop app
When can Weave creators publish a custom 'Tool' in Figma, publicly? Is there documentation on how to do so?
Hello!I’m new to Figma. When working on large-scale static asset projects like the ones described below, what are the best ways to save time? Does the solution involve using certain plugins?1. For example, 80 formats for Photo A, the same formats for Photo B, and the same for Photo C—all on the same page. Later on, the photos will need to be replaced with different ones.2. Same idea, but with text that needs to be translated into about ten languages.3. A combination of the previous two: images, text, and a logo that also changes depending on the language. Thanks a lot
Hi everyone,I've been working on improving the user experience of a buying guide for people who are interested in fishing drones, and I'd really appreciate feedback from designers who enjoy solving information architecture and UI challenges.Buying guides are interesting because they need to balance detailed technical information with a layout that's easy to scan. Many readers don't want to spend 20–30 minutes reading every paragraph. Instead, they usually want quick answers to questions like:Which model is best for beginners? Which drone has the longest flight time? Which one is best for saltwater fishing? What features actually matter for bait dropping? Is a premium drone worth the extra cost?As designers, we have the opportunity to make these decisions much easier through thoughtful layouts and visual hierarchy. One challenge I've noticed is that many comparison articles rely heavily on long blocks of text. While they may contain useful information, they can become overwhelming on bot
With more designers using local AI for UI copy, UX writing, design documentation, accessibility reviews, brainstorming, and coding assistance, choosing the right hardware has become increasingly important. One of the biggest questions is how much RAM is actually needed for a smooth workflow while running Figma and local AI tools at the same time. Here's a quick overview based on different workloads:16GB RAM – Great for basic UI/UX tasks, AI writing, small language models, and everyday design work. 32GB RAM – The ideal choice for most designers. It allows comfortable multitasking between Figma, browsers, design systems, and local AI applications. 64GB RAM or more – Best suited for professionals working with large AI models, multiple creative applications, or advanced AI workflows. It's also important to understand the difference between system RAM and GPU VRAM. While VRAM helps accelerate AI tasks on a graphics card, having enough system RAM is essential for keeping both Figma and AI appli
I paid someone to design my website, www. balinadurrmd.com, which is incomplete. The designer is listed as the owner, and I can only view it. I had been granted edit privileges, but that’s no longer the case. I need ownership of my website and access to make edits, and if I can’t gain control over my website. If there’s no resolution, what’s my option to release to my domain name from this website in order to create a new one?
Hi, I can’t connect Figma MCP with Claude CLI, this is what I see in terminal: Details when I select Figma: Reconnecting gives me this error “Failed to reconnect to figma: HTTP 405 at https://mcp.figma.com/mcp”: In Claude Code connectors Figma is connected (not sure if it matters for CLI): Desktop server in Figma (not sure if it matters as it’s the desktop server): What I was able to achieve is to do this: Anyway, I’m lost if someone could advise, it will be great.I’m not an engineer obviously and all I want is to use Claude CLI with Figma so it can edit Figma files. Cheers
Hello everybody,Using figma slide for presentation since couple of months, I just realise that figma slide is darkening the videos (of like 1 stop). Is there any way to fix / prevent this behaviour? Thanks a lot !
Hi, All my projects are gone, I dont have access to them anymore. They were really important to me and now i cant seem to find them. Please help me recover them. The trash is also empty. There are no deleted projects. It is very weird. All i get is this. message. Please help.

I've been trying the new Figma AI Agent, but I can't figure out how to undo the changes it makes.Regular Ctrl+Z / Cmd+Z doesn't seem to work for the AI-generated edits. Is there an undo/history specifically for AI Agent actions? How can I selectively revert some of the changes while keeping the rest? What's the recommended workflow if the agent makes a mix of good and bad edits? Would love to know how others are handling this.
Why has my Figma desktop app suddenly stopped working over the past week? I opened the app one morning and to my surprise, the files kept on loading and loading. Even Figma home doesn’t load. Not a single file is loading and once I shift to Figma home, I am unable to shift back to my files. Attaching screenshots for reference. It works on the browser but the app isn’t functioning at all. Please help.
So in radian os there are 18 colors, it is a global design system, but if we had to make a variant for each color, lets say, for Front icon, flag, dot indicator, avatar, trail icon, cross, and so and so..there would be, 18colors * 3 sizes * 4 variants * 6 different badges = 1296 badgesI’ve seen in the figma keynote, that pulling just one instance will also pull all other in the component set, so should i make 1296 badges?or do the way i just did here, 3 bases, with each colored icons, avatars and more (the icon library & avatar library are all ready)does it also pull, the main components * base component ?(and i know the picture doesn’t show country flag, but it will be there in future)
Just been playing around with the new Motion feature and it looks pretty good for a beta - however I can’t quite understand how to use Motion for animating states on a component ie. hovers etc.I want an arrow on a button to move when I hover over the button. This currently doesn’t seem possible without using the old school prototype function instead. I would like to use Motion rather so that my developers can export out the relevant motion properties. If I put the animation on the default component variant then the animation plays regardless.. If I put it on the hover variant then it’s all jumpy due to the prototype tool trying to animate it as well ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Help?
I just opened the file I edited last night in Figma and found that it was mysteriously deleted or moved. Could I ask the staff to help me retrieve the file? Here is the link to my file. It's really an important file. Please help me get it back!https://www.figma.com/design/3ujhuyYU0689tCxeSMe2YP/Untitled?node-id=0-1&t=5vAOSGvpks4qruLx-0(Screenshots redacted by the moderator due to PII)
Hello,I’m a designer, I don’t need AI doing my work and nagging me constantly in the interface. It doesn’t work, it’s useless and I don’t want it.It’s relentlessly pushed in the interface at each update, more and more aggressively (i just had to disable AI agent on the canvas for being bale to work) .I don’t want any of these “features”.What can I do?Note: I already disabled the AI training.
Hi everyone,I’m running into an issue with the new Figma UI released around July 2026.In the desktop app / new UI, I’m trying to link a layer’s visibility to a Boolean component property inside a component, the same way we used to do before. The problem is that when I select the layer and go to Appearance, I don’t see any option to bind the visibility to a component property anymore. The only option I get is “Apply variable…”, which lets me link the visibility to a document variable, but not to a component property.I created the Boolean property on the parent component correctly, and I tested different cases: selecting a layer, a group, a nested instance, etc. Nothing appears in the new UI.However, when I switched to the web version, which still seems to use the old UI, I was able to do it without any issue. So my question is:Has anyone found where this option moved in the new UI? Or is this currently broken / removed from the desktop app?I’ve attached screenshots showing the difference b
Hi everyone,I’m working on a very specific requirement for an LCD screen prototype and I’m running into an issue with Figma exports. Here’s the context:I have frames sized 100 × 42 pixels. The goal is to export this frame pixel-perfect, because it will be displayed on a physical LCD screen of this resolution (not sure about the DPI but does it matter). It is meant to be a display test, all screens will be then coded on a framework for HMIs called emWIN, but we need to make sure the designs fit first.) The LCD only supports pure black or pure white pixels (no grayscale, no anti-aliasing). Every time I export from Figma (PNG or JPEG), the image gets blurred or anti-aliased, introducing grayscale pixels and round corners instead of sharp black and white. SVG is not an option because the final format must be flat rasterized pixels, not vector. Here are screenshots of my frames:Here is how they are exported by Figma in pngs: When magnified, we can clearly see this is blurred: The problem is t
