Whenever I prompt to make live voice recordin and document it in Figma Make - it never works in prototype mode. Tried switching to browsers - also doesn’t work. Tried remixing with already existing community voice assistant projects also didn’t work. Any solutions?

Hii! Well, I'm learning to use Figma, recreating community projects… but now I got stuck… because I have a component inside another component (it's an ellipse inside a component that moves the ellipse around), but I need to change the size of the ellipse, but i cant…… The constraints show top-left instead of scale… but I don't know how to change it to scale… I have been trying and trying, but I don't know how to do it in order. The ellipse changes size when I modify the component frame. can someone give me a hint about what i can do x.x?

Is it possible to create fonts in Figma like you do with Adobe Illustrator. I want to map an image, say rice. Loved this reel and want to recreate it with a different product: https://www.instagram.com/p/DVPnyJgiOWe/ I understand we have to use fontforge once items are exported, but I am not sure how to get to the export stage. What settings do I need to use?  Not a real designer but good with Figma, so would appreciate as dumbed down steps as possible :) 

Hi, I’m experiencing a frustrating issue when working with overlapping layers. Whenever I delete an element (frame, vector, etc.) that has multiple layers stacked above or around it, the layer selection resets. Instead of automatically selecting the parent layer, the selection clears or jumps, and I have to manually re-select the lower layers again. This significantly slows down my workflow, especially when cleaning up complex layouts with many stacked elements. Thanks in advance.

i am trying to build on figma build. i want to be able to speak to it and it registers the voice and transcribes it or provides closed caption. currently the video works but the mic does not. if anyone has any solutions to make this work i would appreciate it!

Hey Now I can't even login to figma!! please help

I am pushing updates from my design system and when updating the instances in external files I am not seeing changes. For context, I had some cards with an outline in my design system, I have now removed these outlines and updated various times in the other file and still I am not seeing the outlines disappear. I have even tried the ‘repair component connections’ command I have seen in other posts and that has not worked, even though it said it repaired various connections. After pushing another update after this was done the outlines are still on the cards. What is the point in the design system if I can’t make changes at the source? Now I have to remove the outlines from each individual card in my other file, this is very frustrating. 

While trying to use Figma Make, and importing our components, Figma Make doesn't seem to use the actual component but rather imagines a similar one and thus losing all of the properties associated with the component. Is there a way to force Figma Make to use the actual components with their properties? Even if I specify that I want it to use the component, it doesn't.

I created my portfolio website in Figma Sites. I viewed it in View/Prototype mode for desktop and it looks great. I publish it to the web and view it from the website on my desktop and it looks like the background is shifting left instead of extending across the entire screen. Leaving white space to the right of the screen. Does anyone have any ideas how to fix it? The background is set at absolute. www.tobigannon.com Thank you in advance for your help.

How can you remove the link “Open in VS Code” in Dev Mode and restore the MCP connection at the initial state (I’d like to open the connection wizard as I did the first time).  

Why has my Figma desktop app suddenly stopped working over the past week? I opened the app one morning and to my surprise, the files kept on loading and loading. Even Figma home doesn’t load. Not a single file is loading and once I shift to Figma home, I am unable to shift back to my files. Attaching screenshots for reference. It works on the browser but the app isn’t functioning at all. Please help.

Hi all, I created some designs that I exported as PDF. I have two problems with the result: The text is not selectable (I tried Mac’s Preview and Safari). The files are rather large (1MB for an A4 size design, no images or vectors, just a few text bozes. Any ideas how to overcome this? (I would try to avoid bringing it back my design to Sketch.

Anyone ever used figma make? especially until finish it and try to deploy?I’m tried to download generated code from figma make and deployed it to github and vercel. It is doesnt work, seems because the structure is not common. now I still host the website in figma but connect it to a new domain. my question is, does figma make code able to deployed and continue the development as functional website? or it is just mare prototype? does figma has plan to make it website builder like lovable or V0?I also trying to implement Google Analytics, but despite Figma Make's reported implementation using the provided script, GA testing consistently failsany help will really appreciated, thanks!

Has anyone created and deployed a full working web application with backend and APIs using Figma Make and Vercel? 

I use variables for a multilingual project. I’m using a file as library to manage string variables. I tried updating some strings in the library file but they didn't carry over to the local usage file which already updated the latest library. The text there is still showing the old version instead of syncing.I need to re-assign the same variable to the text so that it can show the latest version. It is very annoying.

I have a figma plugin which was published some months ago, I want to upload a new version for the plugin but I am unable to do it. I am trying to “Locate local version” but it shows me a development plugin instead of allowing me to “Publish a new version”. Any guess what might cause this?I tried updating the manifest to match my plugin ID and I was able to get the “Publish a new version” option and now I am getting an error I would appreciate any help. Hello Everyone, I am studying UX design online- and I need to run a usability study. I have my very simple functional lo-fi prototype ready and when I was going to set it up in Lyssna I made the mistake of asking Gemini to guide me ste by step for fear of making a mistake (jokes on me). Well, everything seemed fine until I was told to add my link to every section I was adding for every step I wanted the users to take and BOOM i got restricted not being aware that there was a rate limit. I am using the free version and waited 4 days and now that I tried again its not working and telling me to wait few more days. I cant keep on waiting and im frustrated and sad. Can anyone help me understand what to do next? and if paying a Figma plan would fix that problem right away?  I would really appreciate some help. All best Mariana

Hello,We are trying to use a Figma Make prototype for user testing. Unfortunately, it is asking the folks we are testing with to create an account and sign in to view and use the prototype.This is too much friction for a testing session. Is there any way to share Figma Make prototypes with others without the need for them to log in?We’ve set share settings to “Anyone with password”, but they get an error screen after entering the password, unless they log into Figma.
