Is my account not elligble for Figma AI despite having an higher education Figma Education Plan?
I’m currently on a higher education (University) account, but I don’t have access to Figma AI features like Remove Background, Make Designs / Vectorize, or the AI toolbar. However, several of my classmates who are in the same university do have access to these features on their Figma accounts.
Here is what I’ve checked so far:

Verification Status: I confirmed my status via figma.com/education/apply, so my account is fully verified as higher education.

Eligibility: According to the Figma AI Help Article, AI features are available for Education plans beyond K-12. Since I’m on a University plan, my account type should be eligible.

Upgraded Team Space: I know that Education status allows you to upgrade team spaces to the Education plan to unlock perks. I am working inside a team that is upgraded to the Education plan, but the AI features are still missing there.
Since my account is verified and the team is on “Edu” plan, is there a reason why I still don’t have access?
