Hi Figma Support,I’m reaching out because I need help regaining access to my old Figma account. The account was originally registered with an email address that I no longer have access to, so I’m unable to log in or receive the verification/reset emails.I have now created a new Figma account using this email address, and I was wondering if you could help me regain access to my old account and, if possible, change the email address associated with it to my new one.The old email address was: (redacted by the moderator due to PII)My new email address is: (redacted by the moderator due to PII)I’m happy to provide any information needed to verify that I’m the owner of the old account, such as details about the account, files/projects, previous team or organization, or anything else you may need.I would really appreciate your help, as I have important Figma files connected to the old account that I don’t want to lose.Thank you very much for your help!Best regards,Pauline Skaanild

Hi Figma team,I've noticed what seems to be a recurring issue with Smart Animate on hover interactions in prototypes. For example, I have a component containing a video. On hover, the component transitions to another variant using Smart Animate, with a simple scale-down effect. When previewing the prototype, the video plays normally, but as soon as the hover interaction is triggered, the video freezes instead of continuing to play during and after the animation. The component does not have “Reset component state” enabled, so I would expect the video playback to remain uninterrupted when transitioning between variants.I've noticed similar issues across several components using hover interactions combined with Smart Animate, not just this specific video example. It seems that triggering Smart Animate on hover can unexpectedly reset, freeze, or otherwise affect elements inside the component.Expected behavior:Smart Animate should animate the properties that change between variants while prese

Hello! I have a prototype where I use numerous overlays. But for some reason whenever an overlay opens again a second time, it gets low resolutiın and blurry then stays that way until I refresh the prototype.  How can I solve this? Why does it happen? First time an overlay opens upSecond time an overlay opens up

Why is it so easy to subscribe, but so difficult to unsubscribe. Regulators should look into it. Appears illegal. I cannot find how to stop my paid plan and subscription!

This thread is here for you to share your thoughts and suggestions about the Figma Forum. We’re proud of the work we’ve done so far, but we know there’s always room to make things even better.
Here’s some prompts that you can use:What are your thoughts on the forum makeover of January 2025? What do you like the most? What have you struggled with so far? / What are the top three areas that need improvement? What would you like to see us implement next?If you spot a bug or have any feedback, drop a reply here — we’ll do our best to respond and improve!

Our design system leverages mix blend modes for hover states so our icon buttons appear on any background color and remain accessible, without needing separate hover–on-primary, hover–on-secondary, etc tokens. We use multiply for light theme, and screen for dark theme. It would be really awesome if we could apply blend modes directly to the color variables, OR support blend modes as variables in general. Our current work around is to apply the blend mode directly on each component variant, but this requires us to define separate light and dark theme variants. would be great if we could use variables here to have it automatically switch between light/dark.

Hi, Can I please get a response to a ticket logged about our license renewal. It has been almost 2 weeks and no response.

I have lost an important file on Figma and I can’t find the file in any of my projects section or in the trash section. I suddenly lost access to it and the link stopped working. I checked all teams and its not in the trash for all of them and I believe that I created the link myself (no collaborators). Pasting the link it says the following in the screenshot below. This should also be the link:https://www.figma.com/design/Yi0d7raGM3J38QsYBEoOxT/Rustam-s-Portfolio?node-id=0-1&p=f&t=ZWRb39RadH6zLxoz-0(screenshot redacted by the moderator due to PII)

Love the basic set available, but let’s be honest — how often will we get new music? Why not just let me upload my own jams? Like this AI Theme Song I made to pump up the team before our semi-regular Design Workshops…

I was using chatgpt to edit my figma file till yesterday today it is unable to connect suddenly, how can i fix this?

This is so annoying! Each month I need to search for the invoice in your unfriendly interface. Seriously now! Better unsubscribe the service than getting such frustration.

FIXABLE OR NOT?I find that I now cannot use mose wheel to scroll when dragging a layer in the Layers panel. The only way to do so is to drag the layer to the top/bottom of the list like when using a touchpad.I HATE IT!It takes concentration to control how fast the scrolling is (how close i bring the layer to the edge of the list) and it doesn’t feel precise enough. Especially if the layers panel is made smaller/shorter.Scrolling with a mouse wheel is consistent and I am used to it enough for doing without much looking at the panel. Please tell me that it is some setting that I have accidentaly checked and that I can return my mouse wheel scroll.layers panel

I’m publishing my Make kit package (@my-org/figma-make-kit) to Figma’s npm registry from GitHub CI (currently 2.0.0), but when a user in our Org creats a new Make files using our Kit, Figma Make still pull the older kit-published version (1.0.0).When I try to update the kit in Figma via Edit items in kit + Update kit + Publish, Figma attempts to publish the package to Figma’s npm again and fails with “this package version already exists” and the Update kit modal also tries to bump the version (e.g., 2.0.1), which would then conflict with my CI publishing flow, as the next time we would try to publish from CI to Figma, we will get an error in CI “this package version already exists”.Is it possible to automate publishing of Figma Make Kits from our own CI?Why Figma Make is not able to consume the latest CI-published version to Figma’s npm registry without requiring Update kit to publish a new package version?

I’m requesting a refund for my Figma AI purchase. I tried Figma AI expecting a useful AI-powered design experience, but the results have been disappointing and haven’t met my expectations. The designs feel generic and low-quality—what many people call “AI slop”—rather than thoughtful, usable design work. Since the product has not delivered the value I expected, I’d like a refund for the charge associated with Figma. Please let me know whether I’m eligible and how I can provide any account or billing details privately. Thank you.

Figma Desktop App 126.9.11 (macOS, Apple Silicon), updated this morning. What's happening:I use a cover page in each product file and set the cover frame as the file thumbnail. The cover is an instance of a component from our shared library, so updating the main component updates the cover in every file. When the thumbnail frame is a component instance, the elements inside it don't render in the file thumbnail. The file browser shows only the background glow; the logo, title, description and icons are missing. If I right-click the instance and choose Detach instance, the elements come back and the thumbnail renders correctly. Steps to reproduce:1. Create a cover component in a library file and publish it.2. In another file, place an instance of the cover on the Cover page.3. Set that frame as the file thumbnail.4. Look at the file in the file browser: the thumbnail is missing most of the content.5. Detach the instance: the thumbnail renders correctly. Expected: Thumbnails render compon

Figma needs a glyph panel to access glyphs per specific font. Photoshop and Illustrator have this feature and it is a necessity for typographic design. Having to leave Figma and go to Photoshop or Illustrator is incredibly inefficient. Implementing better type setting tools within Figma would be a major improvement

Subject: Refund Request: Unexpected Charge After Downgrading to Starter PlanHello Figma Support Team,I am writing to inquire about an unexpected charge on my account. I clearly downgraded my account to the free Starter plan recently, but I noticed that a payment was processed and charged to my card today.Could you please investigate why this charge occurred and issue a full refund?Additionally, I would like to request that you completely remove my payment and billing information from my account.Thank you for your prompt assistance with this matter. I look forward to your response.Best regards [GP LLE][Redacted by moderator - 2026/10/04]

make it so like you can add margins/padding in texts objects, like u can in vscode. example of what i mean:https://youtu.be/57ufN6eJPDs i think it will be very useful; maybe what can be done is that u can add more properties under the alignment tools for the margin control

Payment Discrepancy and Full Refund Request Hi Figma Support Team, I am writing to express my strong concern regarding an unexpected charge and to request a full refund for my subscription processed on September 27. My account email is [Redacted by moderator - 2026/10/04]. I initially expected a monthly plan of around $3, but a total of $38.50 was charged to my account without clear notice (it appears to have been billed as an annual plan or with extra seats by mistake). Furthermore, I was unable to find the option to cancel the subscription in time, leading to this automatic billing. Since the charge went through:  I have NOT used Figma or any of its paid features at all. My account is currently restricted due to a pending payment issue. Given that this amount was far higher than expected and I have not utilized the service, I respectfully request that you cancel the subscription, void the pending charge, and issue a full refund of $38.50 for this payment. Due to my current financia

I am a higher education student in Tunisia, and I am trying to renew my eligibility for Figma Education after my previous student verification expired.I was previously able to access Figma Education and successfully verify my student status as a student in Tunisia. However, when attempting to renew my eligibility, I noticed that Tunisia is no longer available in the SheerID verification form.I also reviewed SheerID's documentation and found that Tunisia is now explicitly listed among the countries where SheerID does not support verification. When accessing the verification form from Tunisia, it remains stuck on “Loading verification form...” and the page displays the following error when inspected:“Access Denied: Your request originates from a restricted region.”I contacted SheerID, and they confirmed that they no longer support verification for educational institutions in Tunisia. What is particularly concerning is that Tunisia was previously supported and appears to have been removed

Hi Figma team,My plugin "Brandfig - Brand Toolkit" is live on Community:https://www.figma.com/community/plugin/1686542100112642893It's free to use, with an optional paid Pro license sold through my own checkout (Dodo Payments, merchant of record). Users activate Pro by pasting a license key inside the plugin, and this is disclosed in the plugin description.Could you add the "In-app purchase" label and enable the "Try in..." button on the plugin's Community page?I've also sent this request by email to content-reviews@figma.com, in case that's the better channel. Thanks,Nilesh

Hi everyone,I often run into an issue when creating components: I want certain properties to be mutually exclusive. For example, inside a component (most of the time it’s a product card), I have Block A, Block B, and Block C, each controlled by a boolean toggle. If I want to switch from A to B, I have to manually turn B on and A off. This quickly becomes tedious, especially with multiple options. While variants are an alternative, they become impractical when dealing with many of this mutually exclusive choices, and they add too much complexity and file size.Conditional logic could also work for this but it is such a pain to do for this simple and recurent use case that I consider it as not a viable option for a day-to-day workflow. Feature Idea:It would be great to group boolean properties so only one can be active at a time—like a set of radio buttons instead of multiple independent toggles.Would this help your workflow too? What do you think?
