I’m signed in under my personal email in standard account. I have tabs currently open on my desktop that I can’t access. Some are drafts some are saved. I used to be associated with a previous company (Accolade) but my personal email would have not been used for that figma account. Some of the drafts that I’ve recently started are also not displaying in ‘recent files’. Please advise.
Previously, when I click 'option' key and hovering on an object, I can see the space between two objects from the frame, however, now I can’t. I have to select two object to check the space between from the panel on the right. Anyone know how can I call it back? or it’s an official update ?
It doesn’t look like there’s an obvious way to change the order of exposed nested instances. Right now the order seems to be based on reverse layer order. It’d be great if the order can be manually adjusted.
When I drag the mouse to select multiple items., or even just click once and try to drag/move an item, Figma is just selecting all the comments and moving them instead of what I’m trying to move. I have to double click an object and then move it, and I can’t select anything by dragging the mouse. I have restarted and updated Figma multiple times. I’ve used this in terminal as well: rm -rf "$HOME/Library/Application Support/Figma" It’s still doing the same thing. And only in this one file.
I need set value for assets in my design system, ex: My logo dark mode vs light mode, the brand asset are different for the color scheme. The options available are: Color Number String Boolean I try insert the URL from image value in string, but I dont have success to retrieve value and set for background. Anyone have a idea to resolve this? 🤯 Anynone can help me?
I was working in the Figma Desktop app and using a plugin when the file suddenly stopped syncing. It showed as “Not synced” and then became unresponsive. When I tried to reopen the file, the loading bar got stuck near the end and never finished. Here’s what I’ve already tried: Restarting the app Logging in from an incognito browser Duplicating the file (unsuccessful) Moving the file to Drafts Opening the file using ?lite=1 mode None of these helped. All other files in my account (and other accounts) work fine — this issue only affects one specific file. This file is important, and I need help recovering it or restoring a previous working version.
Hi there! I’ve been loving the new annotations feature, but have been experiencing an issue with it over the past couple of days. When I’m looking through my designs and try to zoom in, all of the annotations disappear before I can get close enough to see what they’re attached to. Has anyone else experienced this?
Let users set a variable value in %. It is useful for line-height (also for border radius 😈) Add typography related items to Number scoping
We’re working on a larger Component library that includes non-published components (components with the prefix _ or .) as base components in order to simplify large, complex components. We intended – in some specific cases – to offer regular components as templates, that a designer would then have to detach and work with a bunch of base components to build the desired design. What we have come to realize with this approach, however, is that these non-published components don’t receive updates from the library when they are updated in the main library. Is this intended behaviour? We basically have the option to simply publish these base components as regular components, but that of course would mean cluttering up the assets overview with a bunch of modular components.
Is it possible to share a project with a person, that allows to copy elements but not to export?
Hi Figma team! Recently I noticed issue with performance. For ex. 1. When I click on any frame. Frame becomes active after few millisecond. Not instantly. I compared Figma with Creatie and Motiff. They are selecting layers instantly. (Same as Figma was before) 2. Moving (dragging) elements also has some delay (in milliseconds) If I click on any frame and move by dragging, it delays a little bit. 3. Jumping between pages slowed down, in other word, when I click to other page it loads a bit longer (even if page has few frames.) Before in figma, switching between pages was instantly. Until recent update Figma was very fast. That's why I switched from Sketch. I can record a video as proof. (Sorry my english is not good to explain) Thanks!
I have a centralized library of components that I reuse in many prototypes. One of these is a login component. The login component has a button that will change the variant from a keyboard login to a badge scan illustration. The problem: When I create an instance of this component in a separate prototype file, the button will switch to the badge illustration variant, but any interaction that I apply to that badge illustration to navigate to another screen simply won’t work after the variant change occurs. If I change it so the instance begins with the badge scan variant, then the interaction works fine. But I need the default to be the keyboard.
I was going to praise how neat the new Annotation feature is, when I realized the content is only visible to Dev Mode accounts. Are you serious? I understand you want to limit creating annotations to certain seat types, but viewing annotations should be a viewer-level feature. Come on Figma, there are better ways to convince your users to pay for a subscription. This is such a crooked move.
Using Outline Stroke in Figma creates vectors with an excessive number of points, making manual editing harder and potentially affecting performance in complex files. It would be helpful to have an option to auto-optimize paths or simplify vectors immediately after outlining.
