Hi! I have a strange problem. When I use Auto Layout in the **web version** of Figma, everything works fine. The Auto Layout panel appears on the right and I can change padding, spacing, direction, etc. But in the **desktop version**, even after pressing Shift + A and applying Auto Layout to a frame, the Auto Layout panel doesn't appear on the right side at all. Things I already tried:– Reinstalled the app– Cleared cache (from AppData folders)– Restarted computer– Switched UI modes– Tried different files– Used another Windows user account– Checked latest version Still the panel is missing in desktop app, but works fine in web. I'm using Windows and live in Uzbekistan. Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Experiencing lag and delays in the MAKE chat on the Figma site when expanding conversations is a common frustration, especially as the text volume increases. The issue seems to worsen over time, specifically when typing into the input field, where the system momentarily freezes before displaying the typed text. Has anyone encountered a similar problem or found a solution to address this performance issue?
i am creating an rotating animation using "after delay" but it is not working i watched multiple tutorials but nothings is helping me what I can do to fix this
Hi, I’m working on prototyping my project and got a couple “mouse enter” and “mouse leave” interactions connected to variables. These are working properly but when I go to add animations, I am not seeing where I can add/change those. I tried adding a delay of 200ms to see if it would pop up then but still no luck. Not sure if animations are in a different place with the update? Or if animations don’t work with variables?
For sales or anybody that want to show data about his product or company, it would be cool to be able to add line charts or pie chart easily. Right now we need to edit it ourself, but non designers would not be confortable to ajust it. It will be fun to have a tool to create chart where we just have to put our data and it create the chart.
Hello Everybody, my team and I have run into an issue and I can’t find a solution.I want to be able to download the rounded corner image as it is (440x383 px) in Dev mode, without the transparent layer, text, and icons on it. I don’t need the original image (I know how I can export it) since that one is large. Did anybody run into this issue?I need the solution to work in Dev mode. The image is the Fill of the Auto layout that holds the transparent layer with text and icons. I have tried refactoring the component but until I don’t break it apart and add the image on a separate layer, I couldn’t find a way to export it separately. Can anybody recommend an image resize plugin that works? We would need this for the original images to make them smaller. I have tried “Crunch Image optimization” but it gives an error.

Your brand guidelines template is more than just a document—it's the DNA of your visual and verbal identity. Over time, however, even the most thoughtfully crafted templates can become outdated or disconnected from your evolving brand. If you’re looking to stay relevant and consistent, here are 7 ways to reinvent your brand guidelines template : Update Your Visual Identity Modernize your color palette, typography, and logo usage. Trends change, and your brand should reflect current aesthetics while staying true to its core. Include Tone of Voice and Messaging Great brand guidelines go beyond visuals. Clearly define your tone of voice, key messaging pillars, and brand story to guide all content creation. Add Real-World Examples Incorporate mockups or case studies showing your brand in action. This helps teams understand how the guidelines translate into actual designs and campaigns. Make It Interactive and Digital Static PDFs are outdated. Use tools like Notion, Figma, or cloud-based st
Heyyy, Both in Figma Make and Figma Sites, the TXT DNS Records are not getting verified quickly. The CNAME Records instantly update and sync, but the TXT doesn’t update even after 48 hours. One of my first Figma Sites got published, but beyond that none of my other sites or Make Websites are getting laucnhed or connected to the domain due to TXT DNS Record verification delay
With the increasing popularity of iPads among creative professionals and the device's capabilities now rivaling many laptops — especially with Apple Pencil support and desktop-class processors — it’s surprising that a leading design platform like Figma hasn't released a fully functional iPad app. Is this a matter of strategic prioritization, where Figma believes the current user base doesn’t demand it strongly enough to justify development resources? Or is it due to technical limitations, perhaps stemming from the complexities of maintaining feature parity with the desktop/web version on iPadOS? Alternatively, is Figma's vision more aligned with a cloud-first, desktop-class browser experience, where portability across devices takes a backseat to collaborative infrastructure? If so, does this approach overlook the rising trend of mobile-first or tablet-based design workflows? It would be insightful to understand if Figma simply hasn't seen enough ROI or user behavior validation to green
I was going to praise how neat the new Annotation feature is, when I realized the content is only visible to Dev Mode accounts. Are you serious? I understand you want to limit creating annotations to certain seat types, but viewing annotations should be a viewer-level feature. Come on Figma, there are better ways to convince your users to pay for a subscription. This is such a crooked move.
Hi,I'm using the browser version, but I don't know why my mask effect isn't working. Could it be because I'm still on macOS Catalina? Just wondering if the OS version might be causing the issue.
Hello Fellow Figmers, I am giving a presentation where I have a few slide on a Figma Slides deck for a group presentation. Part of my prototype requires me to reset the prototype during the presentation to go through several flows from the same start point. It appears in online explainers that it is simply pressing “r” (which is my go to if im presenting a prototype the non-slides way, and in that scenario it works fine!). No go! it doesn’t work! I press “r” while on the slide with the prototype (i am using Macbook Air as the overlay option) and it utterly doesnt work. For some dumb reason, if I hit R enough times (like 3 times?) it DOES reset the whole PRESENTATION (not desired effect!!!). to not be able to reset an embedded prototype in a presentation seems like a big miss and I hope theres some way you folks may know of to get around this issue? I may have to make a hidden square on each prototype frame to bring the prototype back to first frame… but I really shouldnt have to do thi
