I'm using the browser version, but I don't know why my mask effect isn't working. Could it be because I'm still on macOS Catalina?

I took a closer look, and it’s possible your OS version might be causing the issue. Figma requires macOS 11 (Big Sur) or later to run smoothly. You can double-check the minimum system requirements here: Browsers and operating systems.
If updating doesn’t do the trick, let me know if you’re seeing any specific error messages or if you can share a screenshot of what’s going wrong — along with a note on what you’re expecting to see happen. You could also try downloading the Figma Desktop app to see if that moves things forward.
