Hi Figma Team🔆When re-ordering variants, I have encountered several suspicious issues: The drag & drop icon is not aligned with the variants. The list does not scroll up when dragging the item. When dropping, the selected variant is placed in a completely different position than where I released it. When dropping, the selected item turns into another variant, making the list completely untraceable. Can you please fix this issue? Thanks a lot in advance.

Hi everyone,I'm trying to create an interactive dropdown component in Figma that uses variables and conditions to manage its behavior. Here's what I've done: I've built a dropdown component in my design system. All the variants are defined and values are passed through variables. The interactive prototype is built inside the component itself. I published the component and used it in the main project. I expected that by setting new variable values in the project, the prototype interactions would adapt accordingly. But in practice, it seems the component still follows the original interactions defined in the design system file — and my new values don’t reflect in the interactions. What I want is a flexible dropdown like the one in the attached image, where I can: Use it anywhere in the project Just change the variables to update the state For example: if more than two items are selected, show the number instead of tags I think I need to use conditions to handle the logic, but it gets qui
HI All I am working on the Disaster report and alert system as my capstone project. I have created the drop down menu, including Brisbane, Gold Coast and Townville cities. I am struggling with the drop down menu appearing underneath the Google map image. Could you please let me know to display it on top of the map? Thanks all Have a good day
When changing an icon’s color in a button component, the color change doesn’t appear on the buttons where the icon has been instance swapped. This was still working yesterday, and I tested it on several projects with different icon sets.
Hi Figma team! Recently I noticed issue with performance. For ex. 1. When I click on any frame. Frame becomes active after few millisecond. Not instantly. I compared Figma with Creatie and Motiff. They are selecting layers instantly. (Same as Figma was before) 2. Moving (dragging) elements also has some delay (in milliseconds) If I click on any frame and move by dragging, it delays a little bit. 3. Jumping between pages slowed down, in other word, when I click to other page it loads a bit longer (even if page has few frames.) Before in figma, switching between pages was instantly. Until recent update Figma was very fast. That's why I switched from Sketch. I can record a video as proof. (Sorry my english is not good to explain) Thanks!
I have a question about short-term access in Figma, especially regarding the new billing model. I've been using Figma for quite a long time but has never wondered this. I'm currently on Professional plan. Can anyone help me answer these questions? When there's no available seat, whenever I upgrade an account in a team to a Paid seat, I'll then buy a Paid seat for the whole team, not that account only, right? So if I just want to grand a short-term access for less than a month, I'll have to pay for that seat for its duration from the purchase date to the end of the billing cycle, or the date I remove the account from the seat, or for I'll have to pay for the whole month? There's 2 other scenarios: What if I remove the account from the seat before the end of the billing cycle: let's say the cycle ends on the 30th, and I assign the account to the seat from the 10th to 20th? What if I remove the account from the seat after the end of the billing cycle: the cycle ends one the 30th, and I as
I’ve watched a ton of tutorials and looks up different articles, videos, etc. I can’t figure out how to get my animation to smart animate, not just dissolve. The file names are the exact same in the different layers. If anyone has any solution or advice, I would be very appreciative. Right now the trigger is on click as I try to figure out a solution. I can't believe Figma is forcing this change on us. UI3 is, without a doubt, the most unfriendly design possible. It has made my workflow painfully slow and incredibly unproductive. What’s the harm in letting people CHOOSE which UI works best for them? I always thought switching to UI3 was a HUGE mistake, but I never felt the need to comment on it because UI2 was still an option. Now that you're FORCING this change, I have to speak up. This is NOT an upgrade. It’s a downgrade in usability, efficiency, and user experience. Figma was supposed to be about flexibility and user-centered design—so why ignore the feedback of those who actually use the platform every day? Give us back the choice. Let people stick to UI2 if they want. This forced migration is a slap in the face to long-time users who built their workflow around UI2.

My little Figpal Disappeared. Tried to log out and log back in but still haven’t found it.
I have had issues lately where my prototypes are super slow. I have tried: Removing as many auto layout frames as i can Removing as many unnecessary interactions as possible Removed variables that was used in prototyping Detaching a lot of instances Created a flow that avoided overlays I did manage to create a prototype that was usuable by exporting my frames as png and bringing them back in to Figma and putting the components necessary for the flow on top of the images. But this solution obviously isn’t great in the long run. I think the issue might stem from a component from my design system. But I haven’t located the issue yet. Has anyone had similar issues and found a solution?
Hey designers! I’m pretty new to both Figma and UI design, and I’ve been struggling a bit. Honestly, it’s hard to explain exactly what I’m stuck on—partly because I don’t even know what the terms are yet! But I’ve noticed that a lot of experienced designers use something called a design system, and it seems super helpful. One thing I’m really curious about is how to name color variables in a design system. For example, I often see things like Blue-50, Blue-100, and so on. What’s the logic behind that kind of naming? How does it work? I’ve watched a bunch of YouTube videos, and many of them recommend using plugins. But I’d really like to understand how to name them myself, the proper way. Is there a standard I should be following? Should I stick to the same naming style all the time? I’d really appreciate any explanations or resources you could share! Thanks so much in advance. I’m finding all of this a bit overwhelming as a beginner, and your help would mean a lot!
how do i figure out what varirants are conflicting and how to fix it? It has to be one of the x vectors but how do I figure out what’s wrong with them?
The plus and minus icons are don’t fill the entire container size – their square shape shows up on hover/click which looks awkward. There’s also a weird 2 gray borders on the sides of the 100%:
