Drop down menu shows up over the interactive map

HI All

I am working on the Disaster report and alert system as my capstone project. I have created the drop down menu, including Brisbane, Gold Coast and Townville cities. I am struggling with the drop down menu appearing underneath the Google map image. Could you please let me know to display it on top of the map?
